Nice video. I have the same bike but a 2004. It still has the factory steel bars on it. I will hopefully will upgrade the bars sometime. I'll have to check your website out.

I have the XR150L here in the Philippines. Protaper Evo bars are easy to source here. They come with risers (I'm 6'2" so that's ok) and it appears that the bars are fat in the center and then taper down to the stock 7/8" towards the controls. The riser converts the fat bar center to the stock diameter. I want to get rid of the mild steel bars..
Hello, yeah the Pro Taper setup is a great option. The risers needed for the Evo bars are actually 1⅛". Hope you enjoy them. Thanks for watching.

Hi Showtime, not sure what to recommend for you but I can suggest taking a look at the Renthal Website. Go to the handlebars section, scroll to the bottom of the page and check out their Works Fit Handlebar comparison tool. You can compare two handlebars and they overlay the images over each other so you can see how they differ. It's a really handy tool. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

I also have a 150r. Do the pro taper Crossbar-LESS bars fit? Or would I have to get different clams?
Hello Jake, the Pro Taper Evo and Contour handle bars have a 1-1/8 diameter clamping area. So if your bike has 7/8" handlebars you will need oversize (1-1/8") bar clamps.

Hello, since everyone's built differently, (some people of the same height may have a longer or shorter reach etc.) it's best to go off of what you don't like/need based on your current bars. So take the stock measurements from those bars and then compare them to the measurements of different Pro Taper bars to find a set that would better suit your needs.

When it comes to sweep numbers on the handlebar chart. Witch would represent a straighter bar? Higher or lower number?

I'm going to change my bars next week, don't you need some sort of glue or something under the throttle tube?
Hi Scott, you want to apply grip glue to either the inside of the grip or on top of the throttle tube. You don't want any grip glue to get under the throttle tube because then the throttle will stick. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Did you cut the bar pad off cuz I don't see a seam
Hi Cody, thanks for watching our video. No the bar rad was not cut off. The cover has velcro and the pad itself has a slit in it so you can remove it, it's just difficult to see in this video.

It's not recommended.
Is that a 150r or a 150r big wheel
Thank you for your inquiry. The standard 150r has a 14" rear wheel and a 17" front wheel with seat height of 32.8" where as the Big Wheel 150r has a 16" rear wheel and a 19" front wheel and a 34" seat height. The MAIN Differences: Wheels (obviously), Suspension Rates (front and rear) and a longer Swingarm. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Hello, there should be a velcro strip on the cover over the bar pad that you just pull and then you can get to the bar pad. There should be a slit along the length of the bar pad that will allow you to remove it.
