What do you think is best for my ktm sx 125 2007 i like fat bars and like them linka low not to high
Take a look at the ProTaper bar size chart. You will be able to find the perfect bend for you!
What would you recommend more for my 1999 WR YZ 400 i need the rises and bars but have no idea what to get
Hello, bar fitment is a personal choice based on the rider's body type, comfort, and needs. Please take a look at the bars currently on your bike and compare those measurements to the different bends/measurements available from Pro Taper.
I have that exact bar on my Dr650 , love it! One question i would like to reinstall my acerbis handgaurds, any info on the proper taper pieces needed? Thanks.
+Deadarm DR You shouldn't need any additional pieces to reinstall your hand guards. They should be able to mount right up to these. Glad the bars are working out for you!
The anodized blue looks darker than the original blue. Is that color darker and are they available?
Hello Mountaineer, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, these bars are available here: www.chapmoto.com/search?q=pro+taper+contour The blue is a darker blue than shows up in the images on the product pages. The Studio blue is the real color of the bars, but our studio lighting may having them appear a little darker than if sunlight were to hit them... Thanks for watching! - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
whats the size of the red one is it cr higth
what size handguards would i need for this
Hello, these work with 7/8" hand guards.
The only thing I don’t like about Protaper bars is the chemically applied graphics...I want to remove them and just have a nice clean bar.
We have heard this a time or two...
could I put this bar on my 2016 ttr 125 le
What type of bar is that ,and what's the best bar to use for a 2016 Drz 400Sm
These are the Pro Taper Contour over sized bar and which would be a great option for you DRZ400Sm.
What would you recommend more for my 2007 yz85. Pro taper seven eighth's or the contours
Well that depends on what type of feel you want out of your bars. The seven eight's will have a cross bar which will give you more feel from your front end and have more of a rigid, stiffer feel. The Contours will give you more flex and absorb more of the bumps. Which sounds like what you would want? Also if you decided you want the Contours, make sure you get the mini's for your YZ85.
are these compatible with bar end mirrors? or is the interior diameter too small
Thank you for your inquiry Thomas The Troll. 7/8" Bar end mirrors will fit perfectly in or on these bars. Here is a video with bar end mirrors on a Pro Taper bar: ua-cam.com/video/shIINRMwaD4/v-deo.html - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
I’m looking for a bar for my 05 Ktm 250 sxf, a little bit higher than stock feel
Awesome! I'd suggest you take a look at the Rental Bar sizer... this will show you exactly how the dimensions change as you select different bar bends: www.renthal.com/shop/worksfit-intro Hope this helps! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
I have a 1983 xt250 would these work on that kinda of hard to find aftermarket parts since it's so old
Hi George, yeah these should work on your XT250, they taper down to 7/8" at the bars ends so they're work with the stock controls, however you will have to get oversize bar mounts (1-1/8") because the stock 7/8" bar mounts will not fit.
Are you able to remove the bar end caps for barkbusters?
Hello, yeah most grips you can just remove or drill through the end caps to install hand guards.
Would this fit an outlaw 525 ...??? 2009 model
Hi thedani, yeah it should, but you're going to also need oversize 1-1/8 inch bar clamps if your outlaw doesn't already have them. The middle section of this bar is 1-1/8 inches so 7/8-inch bar mounts wont work.
I was wondering if these bars would fit on my crf125f
No, not with the stock mounts. You need to add oversized mounts to make these work with your bike. Plus, you would need the mini contours. They're a little narrower.
Will these fit on my Cr85r?
+Tyler x Moto For you bike I would recommend the Contour mini's. Everything is the same, these are just a little narrower for a better fit. Here's a link for them www.chaparral-racing.com/product/pro-taper-contour-mini-bike-high-handlebar/302-7933.aspx
what are the bends of the bars in the video?
For this video we used the Carmichael bend
What size bars could I put on my 02 gsxr 750
Hi Keith you need 7/8-inch clip-on style bars for your bike.
Hi Keith you need 7/8-inch clip-on style bars.
can i mount this on my indian scout? its 1 1/4
You would have to swap out your bar clamps to make this work.
hey! what type of bend is the blue fatbar? thx for reply
Hey b sk! The blue contours shown here are the Carmichael bend!
thanks :)
You got it! Thanks for watching!!
Would these fit on a yZ250 2014
As long as you have over sized clamps then yes
These work on a Grom?
Hi N8rm, we wouldn't recommend this specific bend (the bars in this video are the Carmichael bend) becasue they don;t have enough rise/are not tall enough to provide enough clearance at the tank when turning the bars/frontend all the way left or right. The bars in this video have a rise of 40 and a height of 77. We would suggest a rise of at least 65 and height of at least 90. Take a look at the Henry/Reed bend, they have a rise of 66 and height of 92. Also keep in mind that the Contour bars have a fat mid section (clamping area) that measures 1-1/8". The stock bars are 7/8" so if you go with a pair of Contour bars you need to pick up a set of over sized (1-1/8") bar clamps as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
do u have em for an 05 r1 lmk thanks
Since these are MX specific bars, there isn't a direct fit to that bike. Choose a bend that suits you best, then see what you have to do to get to fit. Risers, cables, yoke etc.
Tá quanto?
Hi Jailson, it depends on which bend you want, but the bars are about $67.99. Thanks for watching. --Eric
