nice, finally a handlebar review. the handlebar section on your site felt a bit neglected last time I checked so this is a good step forward. I was looking through your selection of handlebars on the website and the single point of view picture most of them had wasn't nearly enough for me to tell how the bars were shaped. A video like this is great but even just having just a quick 10 second video of the bars just rotating 360 degrees on a turntable or something so you can see it's full 3D shape instead of a single picture would make buying handlebars from you guys a lot more feasable
Check the size chart, and convert the mm to inches to get a better idea. Sit on your bike, think about how and where you want your bars and go from there.
but are the 1 1/8 bars more robust during a fall and resist more to bend or the standard 7/8 are equal in terms of bending resistance if a fall happens?
It all depends on the specific bar design and material used (aluminum, steel, etc.). 7/8" are made stiffer with a crossbar, while 1 1/8" bars are stiffer due to the increased diameter. In general, though, 1 1/8" bars are more robust. -DrewZilla
Yes, they will fit on the stock Grom bars. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-pillow-top-grips *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-pillow-top-lite-grips
One question please. I notice that Pro Taper offer two products, the Evo and Contour bars. I'm interested in purchasing the Carmichael bend variant and would like to purchase the Evo since it is marketed as the superior product but am worried that it doesn't have the same bends as it's Contour variant. Are they the same in the way they're bent or are they different?
I'm so confused of selecting bar bend,,im 5"5 riding klx 140g the standard 7/8 is a lil bit low for me..what can you recommend? Thnkx ..i will wait your reply.
Unfortunately, I don't have the dimensions of the stock handlebar. If you can try to measure the width and rise, you can compare that to the size chart listed on the product page for the 7/8" SE Bars and look for something a bit taller. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-se-handlebars-78
Great video. I am thinking of getting the "Evo Husqvarna stock" bend for a 2019 dr650. Spec-wise it seems really similar to the OEM bar (with7/8 to 1 1/8 adapters of course). Anything for or against? Thanks :)
I'm looking to buy my son a bike for Christmas!!! What I'm concerned about is if someone changes out the bar's dose the twist stopper for the crf50 get eliminated or
how do I make these vibrate less??? I upgraded from the stock steel bars on my Z1000 and the buzzz at 6,000 rpms is unbearable on the highway, was way better with the stock bars. Is there some kind of ballast weight I can add inside the tube?
Currently I'm unable to find the dimensions of your stock bars. I recommend measuring your own bar dimensions (width, height, rise, clamp area, sweep, control area) then comparing them to the size charts and diagrams on the product pages. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/pro-taper
@@RevZilla Hey bud what style bend was on that crf? I bought my first bike and I have zero idea what bend to choose. Id say whatever is must popular/normal. I appreciate any advice! Thanks
The Fuzion handlebars are not compatible, as they are tapered 1 1/8" bars. You need a constant diameter 7/8" handlebar like the SE. As for size, we recommend you measure your stock handlebar dimensions then compare them to the size chart on the specific product page. If you change to 1 1/8" risers, then you can run the Fuzion bars. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-se-handlebars-78
The ends just have plastic plug inserts. When removed, the bars are hollow, so there's nothing to drill and tap. You can use bar ends that use an expander, but the internal diameter of the Pro Taper bars may be different than your stock bars. -DrewZilla
It all depends whether you swap to a 1 1/8" riser clamp or 7/8" riser clamp. It's also your personal preference for bar rise, width, and pullback. I recommend you sit on your bike with your hands in the desires position then have a friend take some measurements. -DrewZilla
They're the 1 1/8" Contour Bars in Orange, but since we no longer have the bars in-studio we cannot verify the bend type. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-contour-handlebars-1-18
Unfortunately, I don't have the specs for the stock bar. If you're able to measure the stock rise and pullback, that could help. The Raptor Bend might be good. -DrewZilla
The Fuzion bar is 1 1/8" tapered, while the CRF250L requires a 7/8" diameter handlebar, so the Fuzion won't fit your stock handlebar clamps. You would need to convert to 1 1/8" handlebar risers/clamps. -DrewZilla
No, we don't have a video for fitting Pro Tapers on a Dyna. Harleys generally use 1" or 1 1/4" diameter bars, while Pro Tapers are 7/8" and 1 1/8" bars. -DrewZilla
If you want a wider grip closer to full size dirtbike bars, we'd recommend the SE Mini Bars in the Schoolboy Pro size. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-se-mini-handlebars
The MT-07 has a constant 7/8" diameter handlebar, and none of Pro Taper's 7/8" handlebars will work with the bike, because the Pro Tapers have crossbars that would interfere with the MT-07 dash. -DrewZilla
Yes, we do ship to the Philippines, but we do not ship handlebars internationally. Shipping cost depends on size, weight, and value. Some people will put BBs inside the bar to reduce vibration or install heavier bar-end weights. -DrewZilla

protaper evo bend I'm 6ft 1 and they have made a big difference when I'm standing up.
How do you do the throttle on these handlebars they don’t seem like they can do the normal motorcycle function.
You just slide the throttle housing and throttle tube onto the bar. -DrewZilla
Drill holes its easy
I have a 2014 trx 400x, would the crossbar get in the way of my ignition switch panel?
Most likely, yes, the crossbar would get in the way. -DrewZilla
I dont think so I used to have the same bike and im pretty sure my stock bars had a crossbar
I got a different set of bars. Thank you though!
Correction just checked my bars some put a cross bar on my stock bars b4 I bought it but it didn't effect my ignition
How hard would it be to drill and tap these so I can use my bar ends? Possible?
