I should also mention that you never, and I mean NEVER, include the shipping you see online as part of the card value. Shipping is a separate entity that can vary based location, tracking vs. untracked, what type of packaging the seller uses, etc. So the value of a card is NEVER the card amount + the shipping. Only the price of the card as it’s listed or sold.
Still watching the vid, but please if anyone can help me out… i still don’t get it, what’s the number on the bottom left? Does it intervene with the value at all? And also, i cant find the cards i have anywhere when i type their code?
One thing worth mentioning is that card value online includes website transaction fees+shipping. Obviously trading it doesn't matter but don't let someone stiff you into paying 50 for a card that's 50 on tcg but after fees+shipping (~10%+2-3$). Personally i would always ask 80% and go from there. The more you spend at once the higher it skewes as the shipping becomes irrelevant to the %, but never pay more than 90% because they're just ripping you off.
Yes! Great point! This video is more so just for knowing the value of the card, not so much how to sell/buy and what not But yeah 85% is what I typically do and have come across when buying/selling singles
Troll and toad are so bad never buy with them. For a legit business they have some dodgy practices. Like I have seen cards they don't know what they are so they literally make up the description. I seen cards they didn't know what they wer so they said it's a promo card for 2 different sets😅 tf??? They list some Limited Editions as no Editions 🤦♂️ wen I asked them about cards like i was dumb they literally made up bs to try make sale but wen i came out asked why are they listing cards with misleading descriptions they stopped replying

If you're in Europe then Cardmarket is a good alternative to TCGPlayer that doesn't cost £30 in shipping 😂 (learnt this the hard way)
As a European I thank you

What about cards with no code and just a number? For example I have a Blue-eye White Dragon 128 in the bottom right under the picture
Love this video very helpful don't get why it doesn't have more likes

What about if they come straight from the pack to the sleeve? Is that mint condition?
No, once the pack is opened they are bear mint at best
