I came back to collecting cards after 15 years of forgetting they even existed and the nostalgia kick was insane. I’m having so much fun and it’s crazy how much value some of the cards can have. Love your videos !
I would have never guessed about the Card of Sanctity card. That's very interesting honestly! All of those cards are really great and some more expensive than others, but that Dark Magician Girl is just a very stunning looking card to me! Also, that Skill Drain is an amazing looking card too. Thanks for the opportunity to receive it, Ruxin!
It’s just amazing! The growth of a tv show to a card game it still has the same nostalgic memories! Expensive cards is just a plus to the hobby we love.
What an awesome list. It's amazing to hear what these cards go for. Being from back in the day I look back and hate 10 year old me for not stocking some if the 2003 tins and such to have for sale today. Great list and I didn't even know about the Blue-Eyes prize card!
It’s honestly baffling that the pequeno moth doesn’t even receive an honorable mention? I mean how can something so priceless not be included? 😂 excellent video Ruxin!
I remember when Minerva was at its peak of interest as a prize card because it was genuinely good and filled a space in the Lightsworn/Zombiesworn card advantage loop. But basically no one would dare play it until it got reprinted in BLLR.
These cards are so insane!! I can’t believe people are willing to pay $100000+ for rectangular pieces of cardboard with a plastic foiling lol!! Ty for the great content, that Skill Drain looks GOOD!
It's absolutely insane to think how these cards are still so popular, I'm slowly trying to build up my collection from when I started at the age of 10! Love this channel and it gives me so much nostalgia watching them! Keep up the videos! 👍
I rly like this type of vidieos, it is interesting to see smth like this once in a while, you could see like market once/month and comment biggest sales or smth like that, top 10 of them :)
I would have expected completely different cards from these top ten, stardust dragon is wonderful, then tyler the great warrior is goku super sayan in yu-gi-oh !!! it's beautiful !!!
That's a great list Rux! I really like how you included cards that were traded and not just outright bought for a price tag. Would love some more vids like this one!
It's awesome hearing the stories and reasons behind the cards values. I'm enjoying the informative top ten lists that you do, hopefully theres more to come.
My most valuable yugioh card I’ve ever pulled was “Aluber the Jester of Despia” which was from Dawn of Majesty for almost $100 according to TCGplayer, but not expensive enough like the other 10 that made it into the list. But to be fair, it would love to see someone puts up a PSA 10, 1st edition blue eyes white dragon from LOB for millions of dollars.
Mine was starlight stardust. Some freak who used to go to my locals tried getting it from me while I was at my job and offered me an access code talker for it but I said no because this guy is known to scam and rip people off hard
@@jayherrera609 Oh this was over a year ago but by then I already traded it to my locals. Should I have kept it? Maybe but I can get it back to my locals if I so please
@@KesslerVTuber well Starlight Stardust is one of these cards that you can put into a binder, forget about it for 10 years and watch the price go crazy. It’s one of the better starlights to keep in one’s collection. That’s why the other person advice to keep it.
Honestly, this might seem silly but of all of these the one I’d want the most (aside from the money from selling the more expensive ones haha, more money than I’ll make in 5 years easily for some of them) is just the 1st Ed. DMG. I really have a lot of nostalgia for that card and I want to collect a few rarer, good condition printings of it when I can afford to (probably never anything as expensive as the one on this list of course though!)
A lot of the prize cards don’t hit the nostalgia bone (unless they were popular on the anime) so main set cards that everyone had access to are a lot more desirable for a lot of people!
You should pursue them! I have 4 different version of DMG (1st edition and LMD editions) and after I get the rest, including the DM, I'll start number hunting.
I really appreciate the effort you put into this video, top 10 lists are really opinion based but you did a really good job with selecting cards that you could do the most research on. It's not some bs top 10/tier list that was slapped together with minimum effort. You may think that a top 10 video on Yugioh cards isn't much but the effort you put into it shows immensely and this is what sets you apart.
Honestly mind blown on the value of some of these, love the list and how much I learned about what drives the value of these cards. Thank you for the awesome content!
Crazy to hear how much some of those amazing cards are going for now-days, who'd have thought back in1999 to the early 2000s that you'd be duelling with unbelievable expensive cards against your mates!
Hey Ruxin! Loving the content lately. Just wondering though, does rarity correlate with the price? Like is there a rarer card worth less than some of the cards on the list?
Rux I know you’re only covering English cards here but these aren’t even close to the actual most expensive card. That is the 1999 ‘First National Conference’ 1st Place Prize Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, the TRUE 1st print of the card, pre eye of Anubis, think $500,000+. I know the owner.
Great video but honestly I'm surprised how low on the list the minerva was. Really puts the rest into perspective. This video scratched a nice itch in my brain.
Great list! I thought you might mention the prize cards of ritual monsters like the Black Luster Soldier that were printed on metal as prizes at the first ever Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, but maybe that could be a video for another day.
Like the comparison of confirmed vs estimated sales. That common card has me wanting to flip through the endless pile of commons I got from middle school.
The number of cards on this list that exceeded $1000 or 6 figures in general was nuts. The Stardust was definitely my favourite, just for the nostalgia. I really enjoy these types of videos that explores the culture involved in yugioh and how it has turned out to this date. Thanks for the great content as always and looking forward to the next video as always.
hell no stardust dmg and blye eyes are eays as hell to find and you can get htme like under 5 dollrs at gambit i go there al time so i know these things
Dope seeing my Gold Sarc I just sold in the video. Actually sold a BGS 9.5 Doomcal SJC for 23k last year, more than the Sarc. Thanks Ruxin for trying to help me find buyers for those cards fam!
The fact that Tyler the Great Warrior is now going for DOUBLE what was mentioned in this video and will likely rise much, much higher as the auction continues is pretty funny.
Watched this as recently found my old cards, and it was a great video. I have the blue eyes, magician girl and cyber stein from this video. They bring me a lot of nostalgia, I'd never sell them but it's good to know their worth.
I think the SJC promos were always so desirable to me. Their printing looks so different and iconic, and also were competitive which I think is cool as well.
This is probbaly the best top10 list of most expensive cards, because it has an explanation and personal opinion about cards, so nice work! I wouldn't change anything here, to be honest, but I would research more to make an alternate list of expensive cards, because there is a lot of great and pretty rare cards.
It's crazy that I had one of those LOB Blue Eyes back when I was a kid and I played it with out a sleeve and eventually gave it to my friend when he moved. Blows my mind
I thought the list would only contain monsters that were popular in the anime but to see cards like cyber stein, crush card virus, and cards of sanctity is pretty cool
#6 was such a shock. That said it's nice to see a card on the list that is of common rarity. Because for me it harkens back to how any card can be valuable to someone, no matter the rarity(as in the foiling, not the physical rarity).
So great to get the context for this sort of stuff. Really interesting to wonder whether this is all a massive bubble that only people that grew up on YuGiOh could understand, or whether it'll live on with future generations. Let's hope for the sake of all the joy (and frustration) this game has brought us, that its the latter
Glad to see you didnt include something like Seal of Orichalcos because it actually is not a real yugioh card. Also, there were a few left out that shouldve been included but the price tag isnt available so its understandable. Crush Cards werent given out at UDE day and Cyber Stein was given to the winners of those SJCs and another copy was given to the winner of the side event at them as well. Those side events were different than what we have now, it was based on a point system and you would need to enter and win multiple times then top 4 played late on sunday for the card. Saw you talking about this on the stream the other day, and as usual you deliver faster than I ever though. Great list, and great that you include grading and trades.
Absolutely crazy list but I was waiting to see Exodia 1st edition LOB in this list!
