Adding a bit more context:
- I'm sitting behind my camera in this video, so might not spot every slightest issue (normally you'd get real up close when assessing card quality, but then the video would just be 1 very large nose and some brown hair... not very useful for you ;) ) , but I pointed some out with editing in post so it's as clear as possible.
- That Barrel Dragon is likely not even getting a 7 in my opinion, as the 2 issues on the front do really weigh a lot, ESPECIALLY given how scratched up that back is, ON TOP of the corner and edge wear.
- There's a slight white spot on the Paladin Of white in the top right of the image. If that's damage, that will affect the grade. I'd have to see if I can get it off.
- Even the Hungry Burger has a slightly weakened corner and the slightest bit of whitening on 1 spot, so it probably will not get a 10. See how hard it can be? ;) haha
- Some of the things you might spot are usually on the PSA case itself, as the plastic tends to attract dust OR can get scratched up itself. (Look at the bottom right of the exodia piece image. That scratch you see there is on the case itself, not the card.)
- If you can't spot the subtle issue with the centering on the Lily, it's the fact that it's slightly tilted sideways, so it's not that it's exactly left-to-right or top-to-bottom, but rather it's shifted diagonally.
This can also affect your grade depending on how severe the shift is.

I loved the vid but its unclear to me wat damages r more impactful on negatively effecting the grade. Cud u leave a comment and list the issues cards can have that reduce the grading quality and be in order from wat is most impactful on docking points to wat is less deductive?
This is exactly what I'm lookimg for, i just found my 18 year old yugi collection at my mom's, lots of first edition, im completely lost as far as value, prices, etc... So i appreciate this info man, keep it up

I came across you by the interview you did with team APS & I hadn’t even realised my YuGiOh cards could be valuable until then, but I’d been thinkin about getting some DBS (& now yugioh) cards graded for the first time & this video was really informative and probably spared me a fair bit of money submitting a bunch of cards in not-so-great condition 😅 so thanks!!

Happy belated new year Solemn. :) I recently graded my 1st edition MRL Relinquished at BGS, and I got a BGS 9.5 :) Also graded some OCG ghost rares and got PSA 10s as well. Pretty happy and it's a fun experience.

Just on centering; I think BGS also grades text centering as well, such as the card name in the box
I'm noticing so many imperfections on my cards since I've started watching videos about grading lol. Btw the hungry burger has one of its upper back corners damaged. Also, pls make a video about spotting the differences between a 2002 LOB cards vs the 2010s Lob cards.
Also use a magnifying glass to help see for surface scratches. Its very helpful to see any damage to the card as well.
That MST also has some slight whitening on the back right edge. You should probably break the Change of Heart out and resend it a few times you will eventually get a 10
Sorry I don't know if you've answered this already somewhere, but how do you send your cards to psa? Do you fill out their form and send directly to psa or do you use a middleman?
Do you think bending cards (slightly wrapped) affect that grading rating? Considering they are in really good shape, no scratches, no whitening, clean front, etc.
If you send it any sealed in plastic Yugioh cards for example the Lost Art Sealed Dark Magician Girl, would PSA have to remove the plastic or can they grade it inside the plastic?
Do you think a card being dirty will have a BIG impact on the grading? I sent in some cards and I didn’t realize the back surface had some stuff on it smh.
Normally, if you have a really clean card that's a little off center, it's probably best to send it to PSA as BGS can be super picky with centering.
I have a faded/misprint Sdk blue eyes that has some minor dings that I’d love to get slabbed because otherwise it’s a beautiful card
I once had 3 SDK Blue Eyes that I felt were worth grading. After this, I now have 2 SDK Blue Eyes worth grading. Soooo many nicks and small smudges on one of them.
Would you do a video talking about the grading criteria in that what graders look for when cards have to be a certain grade in terms of multiple defects like scratches, edge/corner wear, dings, dents, and scuffing?

Thoughts on cards in Yugioh to grade no matter the condition? I’m thinking prizes cards and any of the big three blue eyes, wondering about cards like starter deck DM, LOB red eyes, exodia, DM ect.
I'd still grade stuff like prize cards, yes. At least so there's no uncertainty around its condition, and potential for further damage etc etc...
Any other way to get cards graded ? I know PSA is taking forever to send cards back

Do you ever see 10s with a TINY flaw? Way less than the whitening on the weak 9 top edge, but not perfect like the 10. Tiniest bit of holo flaked off an edge, barely noticeable unless using a magnifying glass. Would something that tiny knock it down a whole point or half or none?

When do you think the price on the newer charizards will start to deflate? In my opinion people are asking for insane amount of money, and buying for stupid amounts. There are literally 500 tens on vmax/full art, and people are still asking for 300-500 dollars

They do. But u can flatten cards out so its ok

Hello Sir, I just had a quick question, how bad do you think it will affect the grading if there’s a small dimple the size of a dust particle and maybe a couple specks on the front surface. Do you think I could still get a 9 ? Because that’s the problem with a card I want to submit but everything else looks perfect from the human eye?

You mentioned "chemicals?" What do you use? My glasses cleaner leaves a lot to be desired.
I feel like for some, you cant really blame the person like for miscentering, at least for personal collectors.
