marsha wooten anytime within your eating window, preferably close to a meal regardless of whether you do it before or after. These aren’t for everyday consumption anyway, just when you’re not meeting your fat requirements for the day. Because they’re actually incredibly satiating and heavy on your stomach so they might throw you off a little bit by suppressing hunger to the point where you’re not hungry enough for you actual meal, which is where you should be getting most of your nutrients.
Thomas. Can I suggest that you melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water. This will keep the chocolate more smooth and silky and not clump up. Just trying to help mate.
*The combination of flavors is spot-on, and the smooth texture makes them a delightful treat. Plus, knowing that they are keto-friendly and help me stay in ketosis is a win-win. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe!*
use a double boiler or put a bowl of a pot of boiling water and you can put the bowl over the water to melt the oil and the chocolate and pull it off when it melts and then just put it back on for a short time as needed and avoid burning that doing in the pan that he used in the demonstration.
My thoughts exactly - chocolate should never be melted directly on the heat and water should not be added to melted chocolate. He should have melted the coconut oil first and added the coffee to it.
I would have ground the salt into the ice tray before adding the rest. But I can't wait to make these! 100% Cacao has just been added to my grocery list. Thanks!
nice tip: put the melted mixture in a bowl and chill in the fridge. When solid, curl a bite sized piece off the top using a spoon and drop it into a little plate with raw cacao. Roll the little ball around i the cacao to make a truffle. Wrap each ball in a little piece of wrapper (greaseproof paper or something) and store in an airtight box in fridge or freezer. I'm leaving the mint out though, I take mint oil capsules regularly
This is a great intense burst of flavor! I guessed at the chocolate and used Lilly's, so no more sweetener needed. I used coffee-flavored sugar-free syrup and, though I was out of peppermint extract, I added more mint. Now I've ordered the peppermint and coffee concentrate and more macadamias. Definitely will quadruple the recipe!
Thomas, use a double boiler so you don't scortch the chocolate. Put a pot of water on to boil, then place glass bowl (Pyrex or steel) over the pot. The heat from the steam will melt ingredients without burning or scortch. :) Thanks for the great content!
The water in the cold brew is what is causing the clumping, I am going to try it with instant espresso powder, or just ground beans, or make my own instant coffee. Water and oil don't mix without an emulsion.
Clayton Darnell is that called seizing? I think that is what happened to the chocolate, it seized because of the water. I'd like to hear about how yours turned out. Can you make cold brew instant coffee?
I wish you the best. Functionality of foods. I had so much of this mapped out when I was getting my culinary nutrition degree 8 years ago. It’s great to have someone utilize UA-cam for a video platform for this.
A good tip is to do it in Baine Marie. Once you see bubbling, you are overheating the cocoa already. It will make the cocoa bitter. Otherwise good summary of what and why you use in your ingredients. Keep up the good work.
👍 I’m shocked that I actually have all of the ingredients on hand for this recipe! Thank you! I should know by now that I need to start writing down the recipe ASAP but I get mesmerized by “a man in the kitchen”, all the science and big words and forget to write LOL 🤣😂🤣🤗💞🤗
Yum! Thomas, have you ever done a video on how to break a weight loss stall or plateau? I searched your videos but didn't see one. If not, would you consider making one? I've been on keto for just over 10 months now. I've lost almost 30 lbs and gone from a size 12 to a size 4/6, so I'm extremely happy. I would love to lose another 10 lbs or so to reach my goal, but I've just been ping-ponging between the same 3-4 lb range for the past 3 months or so, without really losing. I know the last 10 lbs tend to be the hardest to lose, so I would love to hear any suggestions you have for how to get my body back to burning its fat stores! Thank you! :)
Thomas love your videos im looking if i can use Sea BuckthorN but i dont know if i can use it on keto its full of nutrients i got your six pack abs aswell so hope i you can find some info i bet alot of ppl on keto will benefit this
Thomas, first of all I love your channel. But I have a question regarding body fat percentage for women. I heard that as a woman, you need a certain amount of fat percentage to keep the right monthly hormone cycle. If you get below, you might get into physical trouble: bone mass loss, pregnancy problems (direct and/or in the long term), and some other problems. I was wondering if you know more about this, because I can't find the proper research to back it up. Hope you can help me!
Jennifer Morris yes but only the Doterra kind.. nothing else.. Watch Dr. HILL he is a medical professional and CEO of Mayo clinic. So yes.. But certified Food grade only.. aka Doterra peppermint..
If you slightly burn your food Is it then bad for you because of the acrylamide produced? For example I roasted sweet potatoes in the oven with coconut oil and burnt them bit, are they still ok to eat without harming the body?
A secret tip ... It you temper the chocolate with a double cast with boiling water water " Maria bath" ., the chocolate does not gets burned., Also to place it in the tray you can use a small plastic bag., cut one small corner out and squeeze beautifully to the tray!!! Merci from Montreal !! I love that baby., hope your Wife is fully recovered.
Art Intelligence a bain Marie should have water BELOW a boil under the top pan. Boiling water will give a temperature too hot to melt the chocolate properly. Boiling water will produce steam that will escape and get into the chocolate above it. Tempering chocolate is a different process. Tempering chocolate is a process in which the temperature of the chocolate is manipulated. The results provide a glossy, smooth chocolate with a good “snap”.
Hey Thomas! I have a question for you! So far I have lost 20lbs on keto, and have gained a fair amount of muscle. I noticed I'm getting some stretch marks under my arms and on my lats from muscle building. Would you recommend that I slow down my weight training, or just keep beasting out the workouts and then let the marks start healing? So I guess what I'm asking is will the stretch marks be less noticeable If I gain them slowly, or just get it over with? Love your channel! Thanks for helping me get in the best shape of my life!
If you gain slowly it will allow your skin time to stretch instead of tearing basically. But I wouldn't care too much about stretch Mark's you get from gains. Girls love them and they show you put in work!
Hey, Thomas many thanks for all this great information and advices. I’m doing intermittent fasting for 20 days until today, but unfortunately I didn’t notice big changes in my belly fat. I’m working out 5-6 days a week weight lifting for one hour. I start my work out at 7:30am and I’m taking usually C4 supplement as my pre-work out drink pulse one liquid scoop of L-cartinnine on empty stomach. Then I break my fast around 1:30pm - 2:00pm. Later on I take a snack at 6:30 and my last meal at 7:30pm. I drink 3L. Of water everyday and I am taking all my supplements such as OMG 3 EPA+DHA, (calcium, magnesium, zinc with vit. D) and CoQ10. All my food is around 1,700Cal. High with protein and fiber normal in fats and carbs. Am I doing it right and usually when can I see results??? Pls help
If you take C4 (BHB) then why would your body produce its own? You have to burn through all that before your body will produce its own to burn. CoQ10 is ATP energy. You are supplementing a lot of your energy, instead of letting your body create its own. Break it up by throwing your body a curve ball with different calorie ranges at different times of day. Try not supplementing the same supplements each week, except for potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, vit D3, sea salt.
Hey Thomas! I love your videos. You are amazing at explaining the science behind the food! And you've help me a lot to get healthier. And I know I'm late to comment in this video but I hope you will read this. Can I ask you a huge favor? I need help to understand this (and I hope I don't mess this up, 'cause I'm not good with english). Nowadays most salt brands sell it in the presentation "fluorinated iodized salt". It's also added to some brands of sea salt and pink Himalayan salt. I understand that iodine is a deficient mineral in many people's diet and is really necessary, but what about fluoride? I have read that it is another necessary mineral, it is good for the teeth (it is added to some brands of toothpaste, even added to water in some countries), but I have also read studies that show that it negatively affects the nervous system, specifically the part of the brain that processes emotions and the will, making us transform into zombies in a certain way. My question is: What is true or false about this? How does fluoride consumption affect us? I haven't seen all your videos, so I don't if you already have information about this. Thank you very much!
I love your videos, the irony of Rice Crispy Cookies and Creams advertisements before every video is priceless. I'm thinking the sugar peddlers haven't figured out that we ain't buying that chit.
Hey Thomas I`m a big fan of your videos. I have a question/suggestion for a video or maybe you can answer it here, I`m starting with intermittent fasting and the keto diet, what i want to know is: if I`m looking to gain muscle how can I determine the amount of calories i need to do so??? is it the same as if I were in any other regular diet o high protein diet??? And how many meals do you recommend to consume all of those calories, 2 big meals or 3 smaller ones???
Could you talk about the differences in regular coconut oil vs. mct oil. Are there different mct profiles between the two, one better than the other etc.?
Awesome video as always. But with your new little one get in the habit of turning your pot handle away from the front of the stove that way you won't knock it off and later when your little one is waking he won't pull it off the stove onto himself. Anyway, love the recipe.
thid video makes me want to eat it his chocolate :-) . can I eat this while fasting and have no insulin reaction that break my ketosis or is this meant to be eaten after breaking my fast ?
Have you done any videos with resistant starches and intermittent fasting? My main question is whether or not for instance potato starch would break your fast
Thomas, you said that when you're in ketosis your gal bladder is kicking out a lot of bile. My wife has had her gal bladder removed. Will this hinder her weight loss? She's really struggling. We're both only 3 months in. My progress is phenomenal. Hers is very slow.
Hello.. I'm not sure if anyone asked this yet but I do not have a gall bladder and in video u mentioned that peppermint oil is good in digestion and helping with bile production... is it safe and still ok for those who dont have gall bladder?
Macadamia nuts have 0.2g of Omega 3 per 100g (3/4 US cup), compared to 1.3g of Omega 6. How is this 6:1 ratio good? PUFA should be kept to around 4%, so a pound of macadamia nuts would give you far too much Omega 6, no? And what about the phytic acid you mentioned within nuts? Isn't it bad to combine them with anything you want to absorb?
1tbsp coconut oil
100% Unsweetened Cacao (Has to be unsweetened)
1/8 cup Macadamia Nuts
6 drops of peppermint oil
Add Stevia to taste
Pink Himalayan Salt
Garnish with Mint leaves
2 tbsp Cold brew coffee
140-150 cal per serving

made yesterday. Good! didn't catch though WHEN to eat them...after intermittent fasting or after meal, snack...???
Rajesh Ravisankar thank u so need this recipe

How much dark chocolate?
Thomas. Can I suggest that you melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water. This will keep the chocolate more smooth and silky and not clump up. Just trying to help mate.
stu great suggestion! Thank you!!

Michael Robb great, great, GREAT advice!
Michael Robb I just wrote the same re using Baine Marie. Yes to this tip.

I can not understand this message.

nice tip! I'll try it.
Love, love, love all these benefits and facts you provide for each ingrident! Thanks!
Add butter too
More coconut oil
Use espresso !!

Is cacao butter same benefits as dark chocolate?
Does coconut butter contain the same types and amounts of MCT’s and lauric acid as coconut oil?
Keep the recipes coming and Congratulations to you and your partner on the baby. Blessings to you all . .
What kind of mint leaves? Peppermint or spearmint? xoxo from Arizona and may your Christmas be blessed and merry.
Just discovered you and UA-cam channel. Curious if you have workout routine videos, etc?
What type of stevia is best/which one do you recommend?
Beautiful family bro. You're the man Thomas
Can you please do a video on how to rebuild your immune system when you have severe allergies.
I tried this. Excellent, but I used a piping bag to place the mixture in the trays.
Thanks. I have to try this. Chocolate is best made in water bed, though.
Is there any other type of oil other than coconut oil and MCT oil that has medium chain triglycerides?
You crack me up. Can't wait to try this!
I can't wait to try this.

I need this. I prefer my Coconut Oil Organic and in glass. Love this recipe Thomas. :)

Do nuts need to be raw, roasted, or sprouted for best absorption and health in general? Thanks
This sounds delicious. Love the macadamia nuts. Thank you

You use the cap on the little flavored oil bottles for control. Use this method for vanilla in my morning raw heavy cream n' burr ground decafe.
Hey Thomas can you look into yacon syrup is it keto.. I believe it is but some say it’s not
Been looking for a better version of the keto fat bomb. Definitely giving these a try. Thanks.

Can I use swerve rather than stevia, don’t like the taste. Thanks for all you do. Congrats on your new family member.
Thanks for saving my keto christmas! 😁
How would you recommend making a keto friendly peppermint mocha coffee?
Keto Peppermint chocolate and a dancing puppy - this is the content I subscribed for 👌🏼
That looked more like half a cup of stevia...
I thought so too! Maybe a quarter cup, but not 1/2 teaspoon. LOL
Very cool kitchen! Is that you guys real kitchen?

Awesome video Much Love ♥️🎶🌝
Thanks for this recipe, Thomas! Dumb question: is keto going to go badly for me since I don’t have a gallbladder?
I have recently read about the Zero Carb Carnivore Diet which would get me into Ketosis easily. What do you think about the diet?
No, because too much protein causes an insulin spike.
@@rw9389 um you do realize any food will cause an insulin spike??
Hey TD are you Canadian ?
Hey Thomas I`m a big fan of your videos. Love the end bit with your dog 😂
Dude, you just made my life easier!!
Now you gotta make a chocolate chip cookie, my FAVE!!
I am allergic to tree nuts. Is the another thing that can replace it but be just as beneficial?
Cane you use peppermint essential oil instead?
Is that peppermint oil or peppermint extract?
Do you have a ketosis cookbook?? Much Love ♥️🎶🌝
Is green stevia ok Thomas? I've been using green stevia for quite a few years
what if your allergic to coconut?
what can you use to replace it?
Jeff Coombes butter
kerigold grass fed butter OR palm oil is similar to coconut oil.
Can we put some fresh strawberry in them?
What's your thoughts on erythritol?
Could you talk about the differences in regular coconut oil vs. mct oil. Are there different mct profiles between the two, one better than the other etc.?
Focus and Participation--- BUT- ditch the teflon pans, dude! HIGHLY toxic as it breaks down with heat... Love this recipe!
Carm Migliore I try to use only Ceramic.
What about macadamia nuts oil? is it good ?
Awesome video as always. But with your new little one get in the habit of turning your pot handle away from the front of the stove that way you won't knock it off and later when your little one is waking he won't pull it off the stove onto himself. Anyway, love the recipe.
Mountaineer Outdoors I have two kids it's so automatic now. 😀
thid video makes me want to eat it his chocolate :-) . can I eat this while fasting and have no insulin reaction that break my ketosis or is this meant to be eaten after breaking my fast ?
If you're fasting you shouldn't be eating anything.
where to buy this Cocoa Butter??
Have you done any videos with resistant starches and intermittent fasting? My main question is whether or not for instance potato starch would break your fast
Yes, it would. How many calories and carbs are in it? 1 tablespoon has 40 calories and 10 carbs.
Thanks for the recipe Thomas gonna have to give this a try .
Miguel Martinez thank you for watching!
How much chocolate did you add? 3 ounces?
How much chocolate? 3,4 or5 squares?
Thomas, you said that when you're in ketosis your gal bladder is kicking out a lot of bile. My wife has had her gal bladder removed. Will this hinder her weight loss? She's really struggling. We're both only 3 months in. My progress is phenomenal. Hers is very slow.
Any substitution for the coffee?
Is that an essential oil? I have never seen peppermint oil in the store only peppermint essential oil🤔
They also have omega 7s.
You might want to try a pastry bag. Might even out a little better and less waste. Just letting you know.
Nice but how bout a printable recipe?
