Hi Doc! I have a question - do you ever consider stored calories in weight loss? For example: I am 5'11" and 230 lbs. I know 1lb of stored fat is 3500 calories. Soo - can you factor that in with the low calorie foods - so you go from 2000 calories and drop it to 1000 calorie intake and expect the other 1000 calorie from the stored fat? I am sure I am not making much sense...

Dr. Ekerg I am your ardent fan & follow your videos & advice. Can you please make a video if someone has NAFLD grade 2 & uric acid both which are also co- related that what to eat in such a state because NAFLD requires not to eat carbs & eats proteins like chicken, egg & fish but increased uric acid requires not to eat lentils, egg, chicken, etc. due to purine. It's a catch 22 situation so please suggest a diet or foods to eat in such a situation as there is hardly anything on it available on internet

Some other vegetables here and there, an occasional home-made pizza (chicken or ham + mozzarella + tomato). One of the staples is my favourite salad: avocado + carrot + garlic + mayonnaise. I also drink about two spoons of flaxseed oil a day. Basically, I eat anything that is inexpensive (sadly, avocados aren't), satiating and has little to no carbs. Sometimes it feels a bit too limiting, but only because I have relatively little cooking experience, and my repertoire is not that broad yet.

My Doc prescribed 2 different statins, both of which he assured did not cause muscle cramps, both did as was listed on the Mayo Clinic website's "Known Side Effects." I informed him after the 2nd that I had stopped it and that if he prescribed anti cholesterol(sp?) meds for me, ever again, I would not fill the prescription. Anyway, I began eating OMAD, high fat/protein low to no carbs, a lot of cruciferous veggies and some berries. Last time doc had me do labs he commented how glad he was that the statin was working and my cholesterol levels were excellent. Btw, I have lost 100 lbs since January. I'm a bit frustrated that I have plateaued and can't seem to shed the last 100 lbs I still need to get rid of.

Less sleep, more energy for 14 hours work a day. Weight loss from 86 kg at the beginning to 80 kg , now weight gain in muscles, more body water, measured with a body fat scale. Less sweating at high temperatures, skin texture changed due to less fat under the skin, less anger in stressful situations at work. It is never too late, I am 56.

    Dr Sten :
    I just went 5 days
    fasting , and I am
    Not hungry .
I find it odd to hear You
talking about people and Animals talking about eating to
    to gain satiety !
While I sit here listening about food
And I am totally without hunger after
    5 full days !
    I think I could go another 5 days !
    But that might not be
    good for my health !
I will eat again tomorrow at noon .

      Hello Dr Sten:
      I am a bit concerned
      about maintaining
      weight loss .
I saw one of Your vids about trying to
      fool my internal cycle
      I am planning to
      fast 3 days
      Eat 2-3 days
      Fast 3 days
      Eat 2 days
      Fast 3 days
      Eat 3days
      fast 3 days
      Eat 2 days
      Fast 2 days
      Continue an unequal
      cycle until I reach
      my optimal weight
Then, slow down a bit bit .
      Perhaps Eat 5 days .
      Fast 3 days .
      What do You think
      Of my plan ?
      Mike

    @billhesford6098 Рік тому +3

I learned a lot about dieting smarter and keto especially works -from your channel, so thanks.
My problem is I really like eating. I enjoy the ritual, the pleasant experience on many levels. Sitting down with friends to share food is possibly the most enjoyable experience I know. I don't think I would eat tasty gravel, but tasty food that does not do anything except remove my feeling hungry/hangry is worth a shot. In my world. I know, I lack discipline and need shooting. Doing OMAD most days gets me angry at about the 16-18 hour mark unless I am lost in a world of work and just don't allow my mind to go there. 5 and 7 day fasts were fun if just to prove to myself I can discipline myself. You inspired me, thanks.
I reckon if you give most animals plenty of food to eat with no exercise for that food, they get fat like we do. At least my chooks, sheep, cows, dogs and cats all get fat. On my farm anyway. Growing up, my pet mice and rats also got fat. Maybe it was the food I gave them, but they became fat just like I did as I aged.
Stopping their food, whatever they eat, stops them from getting fat. It just does. Some foods are definitely worse than others, like sugar.
Again, thanks for all your thoughts.
