I’m so glad you started the mace series. No one explains things the way you do. You’re saving a lot of people a lot of injuries by doing these. Thanks man.
Hey Mark, I train my 75 year old mom in powerlifting moves over FaceTime, but I've added some kettlebell movements and have her doing club shield casts and swings with a selection of ball peen hammers in various weights from Harbor Freight. I have her imagine that she is fighting a zombie horde and smashing in their heads. She really enjoys it. I personally have been doing my mace workouts in the morning in the front yard, just to display to any potential troublemakers out there who might have nefarious intent and let them know they should skip my house--and my shoulders have never felt better! So thank you very much for the inspiration and the lessons.
I tried this today with a 4 kg mace and managed 6 minutes without stopping. A light weight yes but being under tension the whole time makes you feel it.
I need to quit everything else I'm doing in my life and just concentrate on kettlebell, club and mace training. That's the only way to keep up here ... :-)
@@MarkWildman I'm sure I wouldn't regret it! I'd be very happy right now living shipwrecked on an island with a WiFi connection and a collection of kettlebells, clubs and maces that had washed up on shore ... on a life raft.
Wildman I love it all, but, I can not do it all. That being said can I exist in this universe with just a little bit of it like once and again ? Oh ya. Thank you. I now have 3 do it more better t's. Hope that helps you cause you sure help us. ROCK ON COUNTRY BOY ! ! !
I am hoping for some hydrocore videos along those lines - but he does such a lot of quality content free, I’m starting to feel guilty and may have to buy some merch
Heavy Club mills have improved my tennis serve a ton. They really mimic each other. Do you have any movement pattern recommendation (w. club or kettlebell) that mimics forehand/backhand?
Yes!! Just like kettlebells...after about 1000-5000 reps or so (12-14 weeks), the weight is lighter to move. From there you can go heavier or increase time.
When we get back I'm going to make my judo students do kata blindfolded, and laugh hysterically at how it turns out. But seriously, that would take a lot of trust in your training partner.
@@MarkWildman Well, we're a BJJ school with some judo classes. Most my students come from a bjj background so doing kata without a blindfold is entertaining enough. Though they are very dedicated to take the time to cross train. If you're ever in the Lansing area you are more than welcome to join. I swear I won't make you do kata.
Mark, would you recommend clubs before doing any mace work? Would the familiarity with a somewhat shorter lever be beneficial as a prerequisite instead of just jumping straight into mace work?
Thanks Mark. I've been following your 2 handed heavy club tutorials for the past 2 weeks. I have a brand new 15lb mace but don't want to overwhelm myself. Much love from Canada, keep up the quality content.
What about some Wildman in slo mo with Six Million Dollar man music? Or, maybe Carmina Burana? Just sayin’. OR, how ‘bout a tabata with mace, climber, and hydro Bulgarian baggy thingy?

Mark Wildman awesome, looking forward to it!
This stuff is crazy, glad i got a 10 lb mace too, I would be clipping myself with the 20 lb.

yes
this basic stuff is easy but when you get to alternating flying hand transitions it really really helps to have run a lot of club cycles

How often do you do it?
I don’t understand the question

I mean twice a week or every other day?
Do you use that barbell and bumper plates behind you?
Not much.
Need to integrate this and then become Sauron.
Not quite Sauron, but built up to 48 minutes with a 10# (listened to Abbey Road while not puting down the mace) and now building up with a 15#
I've now decided to become Morgoth and wield Grond.
“We did that because it was ninja shit to do”
Ninja shit then, hema halfe sword now?
I m just lamentig that i didnt buy a heavier sword 😇
