Yeah, I didnt know that, he did in fact play without a pick.
I don’t know but as I was learning the first part of the song it seemed playing it finger style would make more sense overall. With a pick it may not flow the same way… but I could be mistaken 🤘🏻

Kello , how do you define justin tone. I know its a wal but overall , can you tell me how you would setup your preamp to try to émulate that sound? Bass , lo mid , high mid , treble wise... some say roll off the bass and cranck up the high mids and treble. What is your opinion?

I just finished a tool bass medely and all I'm struggling with is making it sound good from a cell phone. It's not quite loud enough and you can't pick up my bass too well while playing against the music. Any tips?
You’re recording using your phone to pickup your live amp sound I guess? The best way to get your bass to pop up and not sound muddy or lost is to try and record it and if possible mix it with the track and that audio be fed into you phone using an iRig or similar interface. Keep it up! 👊🏻
@Kello Gonzalez no no. Thank God no lol. I'm recording normally. Audio interface to DAW. Yamaha AG03 to Studio One. But I know my finished product will be viewed and heard on everyone cell phone.
So I've been rendering test videos out and putting them on my cell to see how the audio is and it's not great
