    I'm a Malaysian too, and i know that they're gonna brag about having a match with 2 professional badminton players with their families and friends for weeks or months. Trust me :D. Jk, feels good to have these kind of meet-n-greet in the court really wish i could be playing against you two as well... I also got so much insight too as always from this video, thank you so much both of you.

    Hey guys, I had a question regarding service during a mens doubles game
    *I have trouble against taller players with longer wing spans.*
    When I approach to serve them, their presence is almost all-encompassing if that makes sense
    For reference, I am 5 Foot 10 Inches (176cm)
    Unless I service perfectly above the net, forcing them to either play a lift or a net shot, they usually always smash it
    Serving it higher doesn't work, as it gets smashed
    Serving it to the side boxes doesn't work, as their long wingspans allow them to reach it
    What advice would you have for me in this situation?
    Thanks, love your videos and keep up the good work

    4:42, what are you supposed to do, when there is just no empty space? Feels like even on my intermediate level everywhere i hit the shuttle the opponent can get it so easy. While I’m running over the entire court the whole time.

    • @BadmintonInsight
      @BadmintonInsight  Рік тому +1

      Your shot quality is the most important thing here. Ideally on the previous shot so that you don’t get into a bad position and then you can also move forwards more on the court to take the shuttle earlier! If you are in a bad position then you would probably be best lifting out but yeah we were talking about how to prevent doing this too much because they were losing points when they did!

      Maybe your opponent is just good at anticipating your shots and can be halfway to it before the shuttle has left your racquet! Try not to repeat yourself too much, vary your game and maybe you'll wrong-foot your opponent with a bit of deception.

  • @dada-nd4eg

    Perhaps instead of looking at mistakes of others, you guys should focus on mistakes of yourself? Guys if you call yourself professional badminton players, try to be in top 10 and focus on your games. This is also the issue with today's world - people spend way too much on social media and not enough focussed at their own work/profession. Take my advice and improve your game. As you can see, Viktor Axelsen stopped making videos for 1 yr because he wants to improve his game, and he is already #1.
