The guy in pink is Xiang Lin, he is in Perth, Western Australia. He played for Australia in the 2023 Commonwealth games in n Birmingham. My wife, daughter, and myself have had coaching from him.
So here's what I have noticed in their gameplay. With Yellow, he has a tendency to hit cross court smashes more often than straight shots. Given this, Pink should try to center himself more in the middle rather than leaning towards the smashing side. Yellow also likes to hit backhand shots rather than positioning himself to take the shuttle on his forehand. These backhand shots are, in general, weaker and has lower heights; Yellow also didn't attempt any backhand cross court so Pink should attack the backhand side more often and watch the net for potential kills. Another thing of notice is that Yellow thrives on fast-paced rallies. Pink should add deception and holds to break off the rhythm more often. Playing more net shots to negate Yellow's powerful smash would be a great idea. Drives seem to not be effective however as Yellow shows more control in that side also. With Pink, there are little rallies where he is successful so his strengths are a little bit more obscure so I can hardly tell. Fast pace however is not his strong suits and smashes on the cross court do seem more effective against him. Overall, I feel like Yellow has complete control over the game and does not encounter any difficulties in using his strength to completely outplay Pink. This is a very instructive video to analyze and I really appreciate this. I have subbed and hoped to see more matches like this. I'm open to any thoughts and ideas if anyone has problem with my analysis.
@@sagcrossroad Yeap for sure I have to agree with you. Yellow is quicker with probably higher level of athleticism but Pink shirt's footwork is just brilliant.
Played a guy like the guy in yellow once back when i was young and fit. I was leading 4-0 courtesy of some well-placed and very hard smashes. He made some adjustments, and i lost 21-12. No problem for him. If anything it wasn't his attacking, it was what he did with his serve, and his counterattacking - where he lifted to. Like this.
Come on bro he is slow bro the yellow one is play with spirit and have agility and fast footwork, this gen z tournament doesn't have to play rally like lcw,ld,cl,pg,th they played shot rally to get point.
@@FactsOnly23 LCW and LD don't play pace control rallies like you are talking about. CL and maybe PG, yes, but even PG had a very strong attacking game.

In my opinion, the pink guy has a lot of potential. His footwork is clean, the return shot is good, and he tends to get into the rally as much as possible. However, he needs to play a deadly counterattack if he wants to play defensively.
double rock paper scissors basically remember they are always watching the birdie not the other persons body language and in every single hit there is a total of four options below the net far hit below the net close hit above the net spike and above the net soft touch obviously this is a 3d sport, anything can happen but these are very good labels with every single hit all of these change where one should be positioned during a play, and as a defender you are trying to split the two, so that you can reply to both but habits happen in split second decisions and that is how this is like a game of chess
an example of this is in the last hit of 0:58 notice how yellow realizes that pink is setting up inside, which is the right move theres not many places to give a good reply pinks main mistake is assuming that his last hit would limit yellows options for hits, he has alot more control then he thought he would have had on that off of running back to hit the birdie but he gets there faster then anybody would have expected and sets him self up perfectly to go back outside on his hit funny thing is this happened earlier in the match, but pink made up the mistake by giving the reply shown, which was clearly a desperation hit, that would have saved him if he had time to think
Net plays? Counter shots? Are they supposed to do cross court net shots just because you find it interesting? There were a lot of net shots in the game and how do you even start with a "counter shot"? Literally every shot the other player will do is an attempt to counter the shot he has taken. "All pushes and smashes". That's like telling me all chess players do is eat the opponent's pieces and win the game, no strategy required. You smash if it is optimal, you drop if it is optimal, you play cross court shots if it is optimal. You don't get points for making fancy shots. Absolutely ridiculous internet warrior. Tell me you don't understand anything without telling me you don't understand anything.
You'll hate it once you know how much energy consumption is needed to run like that.😂 Still prefer being stable footwork than the overrated running footwork.
Yellow's passive lifts are a tad flat. Had Orange been on it half as much as yellow was, he would've had more of an advantage. The young gun needs to use his voice as well. Not sure why us new generations are so intimidated, aside from the pressure of performing in a tournament.
I'm sorry but I notice different things. If you guys look closely at the audience on the left side. There's this white Asian guy that does'nt move his head the way other audiences do. He only analyse's the player that is on the far side of the court. H'es prob a player himself and is observing the player's gamesense and movements up close.
Pink dude a bit too straightforward, keep making the same shots everytime.. too predictable.. overall just not as good as the yellow dude.. he needs to have better imagination..
Why is the guy in yellow so goddamn loud, it’s a tournament and not a shouting game. You guys are professionals at this game, it’s only natural to act like one. I’m not sure if this is a strategy of his but the constant screaming does get in people’s head and decreases opponent’s confidence for sure. Either way, I’d rather scream when and after I win.

Dude in pink is playing so cautiously, if he attacked more, he would make for a much more competitive game
He plan to play with control.. but it didn't work because yellow boy is more powerful in attacking...
It's about pacing and preference he's playing more on a defensive side instead of offence
