Giving you an insight into all things BADMINTON! - Спорт
Was 9:32 in or out? 🧐
Also we’ve had a lot of questions asking which matches we commentated on, they were:
R16 Delrue/Villeger vs Hoki/Kobayashi
R16 Kaneko/Matsutomo vs Hee/Tan
QF Goh/Lai vs Watanabe/Higashino
QF Marin vs Yamaguchi
If you can’t find them on UA-cam, this means you might need a VPN to watch them - feel free to use our Surfshark deal (83% off and 3 months free!) which also helps to support us and our channel: surfshark.deals/badmintoninsight ☺️
I might get the bottle it looks nice
Its out!! Heard the line judge yelling "Out"!! 🤣 Good video as always! Love it ❤
@@aldooxful yh it looked out if u slow the video down
unfortunately looks out but close😑
I say it was out. There's a tiny, tiny chance a tiny part of the shuttle tapped the far edge of the line, but it looks 99.999% out when full screen and paused
Hope this goes a little way to meeting some of your costs in Tokyo !
Wow Michael that is unbelievably generous of you! Thank you so much for your support, that means the world to us ☺️🙏🏼
@@BadmintonInsight thank you for what you do for us amateur players !
This just shows how great some communities are.

I've watched every video you've made for years, so here's a small contribution towards those flights! Thanks for all your help, advice and entertainment :)
Wow thank you so much Jack! 🤗 That is unbelievably generous of you and we hugely appreciate your support 🙏🏼 Thanks for watching all of our videos, and hopefully you continue to find them useful!
Well done getting to Japan and playing well. Best of luck for your future tournaments.
Wow thank you so much 🤗🙏🏼
Appreciate your efforts for coming to Japan despite the costs and time! Although you didn't get the best results there, we all know you're the GOAT by influencing the badminton world through your videos! Also love the comments you made in the matches! Sending lots of love from Japan!
Ah thank you so much 🤗 Hahaha not sure we're anywhere close to the GOAT status, but glad you're enjoying our videos!!
I watched both of you play during Round 2 last week, here in Tokyo. You were great!! I thought I was the only British person (or non-Asian person actually) in my section of the audience, but I heard someone cheering for Greg and turned around to meet eyes with Ben Lane.
During the final I was in the Arena Side. Part of the second floor was reserved for pro players and VIPs to watch. A kind Japanese lady was sat next to me, who lent me her binoculars, which I’m pretty sure I saw the two of you through. As any other completely regular human being would do, I watched you both sitting there perfectly stationary for like 3 straight minutes.
Amazing - you should have tried to come and say hi! Haha surely the badminton was more entertaining to watch? 😂
Thankyou for Having me 😁👍
Thank you for being so kind and chatting with us! 😊 Hopefully see you around soon (and we hope to see English subtitles on your videos 😜)
It's insane to see you guys perform at the highest level, create extremely helpful training videos, fun & engaging vlogs and influence the badminton world in such a meaningful way. It's extraordinarily heartwarming to see this vlog right after I hit a plateau in the sport. I can't be more grateful to you two.
Thanks a lot, that’s great to hear 😀
Love your passion for badminton, those ticket prices may be expensive as hell, but the experience of playing in the World Championships in Tokyo is an experience I don't think many people will get, it was definitely worth it, what a great vlog this was.
Thanks a lot - it sure was! 😀
I've been waiting for this video to see behind the scene of your time in Tokyo. Well done on the commentary and the 2nd set of your game against the Malaysian was very close, too bad you guys didn't make it but I believe it was a great experience for you guys. Greetings from Indonesia!
Thanks a lot! Yes definitely 😀
I feel so lucky living in the same time with you guys connected by the internet.
so surprised to see the contents you shared, so true and also surreal.
Thank you so much ☺️
Anyone else got teary watching this? You guys, thank you for sharing your journey with us. You're both incredible and you are doing so much for the sport!
Haha! Thanks a lot - that’s the aim 😀
Thank you so much for sharing your experience over there! You must have felt euphoric from all those good things !
Thanks for the vlog Jenny and Greg - appreciate this one would have added to an already mad schedule! Great to see the team do so well in Tokyo and to see Toby on film. He was brilliant at the Commonwealths - and like you both, doing a lot to make elite badminton accessible.
I really loved your honest and open minded evaluation of yourself. That is something I hope to learn myself, just putting emotion on the side and admitting my mistakes. Really loved the vlog, keep em coming!
Thank you so much 😃
Haha how cool is that He Bingjiao is watching your videos!!! So cool, such a great moment.
Loved your casting, you did such a great job. Games were such a treat. KEEP IT UP
Both of u are the one to watch for the growth of Badminton. Its ur inpit that makes game we all love beautiful.
Thanks 😀😀
Absolutely fantastic video, looks like you had so much fun making it. This cheered me up immensely today. Your post match analysis on the game against Huat and Jemie, it's so encouraging to see that you take good pointers from all your games. Keep up the good work folks, looking forward to the next video.
Thank you so much Rob 🤗 Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a great video. It is so good to see the positivity behind the scenes like you guys interacting with players from different nationalities such as the ones with He BingJiao and Hendra Setiawan, Keep up the awesomeness. Hope to see you both in the next tournaments. Stay blessed! P.S. Oma Gill is THE G.O.A.T
Ah thank you so much - glad you enjoyed it :)
One of the best videos from you guys I have ever seen. So many good stuff. Thank you for the insight 😀
Wow thank you so much 🤗
Wow, I have to say He Bingjiao's English is very good, never thought she can speak English like that, thanks for showing us
It was!! You’re welcome - she is so nice!
@@BadmintonInsight I do notice that you talking about service with her and as far as I can see, her service is unusual because she use a forehand serve but her leg is a backhand serve leg, she put her left leg front, as a lefty she supposed to put her left leg back if she do a backhand serve, do you talk about that with her ?
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog! All the players you got to meet, doing some commentary…it was great to see!
And even though you lost, the experience of playing in such a tournament would’ve also been amazing!
Great video as always! 🏸👍
Thank you so much that’s amazing to hear 😀 🙌🏼
I'm a new subscriber and your videos have taught me so much more about badminton! Keep up the good work!
Great vlog as always, and to see a little of what you get up to off the court at a tournament. Congratulations on your commentaries as well ! You can't beat informed comments from players, and you did really well - having spent hours dissecting footage of opponents has stood you in good stead, and I hope that you get the opportunity to repeat this.
Thanks Michael 😀 That’s great to hear!
Awesome to see that you guys enjoyed your time in Tokyo!
Enjoyed every second of it! Keep going. Greg and Jenny love you both!
Thank you very much, we’ll do our best 😀
Thanks for taking us to your journey at World Championship. You guys did great as co-commentators with Gill!
You’re very welcome! Thanks a lot 😀
By far the most enjoyable vlog so far. Good on you! 😃
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it 😀
I’ve been waiting for this video! Lol Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Greg & Jenny. ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it 😀
im pretty impressed with HBJ's command of the English language
It’s very good!
Love your videos! Glad to see your channel doing well!
Thanks 😀😀
Hi Greg & Jenny, I was actually painting window frames in my living room that I turned into a homemade workshop for the occasion because I didn't want to miss a second of the world championships when the commentator's voice along Gill's sounded very familiar. What a surprise to realise it was Greg and then Jenny! Lovely. You guys are getting more famous than ever, and you should! Many thanks for your work on the channel, I try to implement all of your advices on the court every week, not easy but definitely helpful and... insightful. Keep going, much much appreciated. Love from France
Haha what a story! And thank you very much that’s great to hear, or should we say Merci😀 Keep it going!
Thank you as always for such a joyful video!
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 😀
Amazing journey! Glad you also met Hendra Setiawan! He and Ahsan are legends here in Indonesia.
They are legends all over the world! 😜
And don’t forget the late great Markis Kido
Great production value on your videos you two. The insight into the sport from professional players is incredibly valuable and on top of that you seem to be very kind and hard working people too. I enjoyed the commentary from you a lot. I believe the best combination is a hype person + a fact person, so you combined really well with the veteran "I don't believe it!"s. Thank you for starting this channel and investing so much into it. Looking forward to your videos ;)
Wow thank you so much Martin! That made our day 🤗
@@BadmintonInsight No problem :). In case you are looking for inspiration for a collaboration, you could check out Tobias Wadenka. Maybe you know him already, but I am sure he would like to work with you, should you meet at a tournament (All England/German Open) or elsewhere.
This video has only just come up for me. I jumped straight on UA-cam after you guys said on instagram that your Tokyo video was up on UA-cam - anywho, great video guys. Got to be the best one yet!
Ah amazing! Thanks a lot 😀😀
I remember hearing both of you live while watching, great job on the commentary to the both of you!
Ah thank you so much 🤗
comfort may be the enemy of progress but it is the friend of happiness and confidence
😂 this is kinda accurate... haha
Well done both of you. Professional as always thank you for the great content
Thanks Lester 😀😀
Great show and love the BTS bits with Setiawan, Jill, and Bingjiao. Wow!
Thank you so much Dennis!!
Loved the video! Not a everyday video but really nice to join you guys into the tournament life. 👍
Ah thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Very kind 😊🙏🏼
Congratulations on making it up to this level in the World Championships, and for commentating!
Badminton aside, lucky you to go to Tokyo at a time when it's so difficult for 'regular' visitors, I hope you enjoyed the place too!
Thank you so much! And yes we were lucky enough to see some of the sights :)
Really great to see you get the opportunity to experience Japan at the world championships. Well done on the first win, hopefully further progression in future events.
Also heard you do some of the commentary as I got up early to watch and you are both naturals. Congrats.
Thank you very much David 😀 that’s great commitment! And very nice to hear 😊 thanks again!
Your interaction with other players were just sooooo wholesome :D
Haha thanks :)
You guys played well! I was pleasantly surprised hearing Jenny's voice with Gill. Though I could not recognize Greg in the commentary seat, Jenny's was hard to miss. You sounded like a natural! Definitely a path you could go down in the future. Good luck for future events! ❤️
Thanks for the awesome content!!
You are very welcome David 😀
Thank you for this awesome vlog and for sharing your expensive experience!!
Thanks to you for watching! Haha it was indeed an expensive experience 😅

Loved the vlog
Thanks 😀😀🏸🏸
Wowww! I loved your performance when I saw you on tv!! Though I'm from India I don't mind you defeating an Indian pair😅😅
Haha thanks! 😀
Surprised to see He Bingjiao in this Vlog. Thanks for sharing your experience during WC.
You’re welcome! She is great 😃
Awesome and interesting Vlog giving us a behind the scenes peek! Loving the guest appearances too. Pricey tickets but hope you enjoyed the trip and could afford to sightsee a bit afterwards?! Nice seeing your own match play as well! Really engrossing mix of content 🙂
Ah so glad you enjoyed it 🤗 Yes we had a lot of fun on the trip and we were lucky enough to see some of the sights whilst we were there!
Awesome vlog!
Thanks 😃
You guys are such a gem
Awh thanks
WoW . . . Was Waiting For It
😀
What a vlog! So nice to see the behind the scenes. Watched both of your games and you were great. The malaysian pair was just slightly more consistent.
I really don't understand why fights towards that part of the world is so expensive nowadays. It just skyrocketed this two years.😰
Thanks a lot 😀 Yeah they were! And yes it’s annoying 😢
We always love these vlogs 🙂
Thanks 😀😀
This was an amazing vid
Thanks Niko 😀🙌🏼
loved this vlog!
Thank you!!
Truly shows what it means to live your life like there is no tomorrow 🔥
👊
great job on all of the things you did in Japan👏🏻
Thanks :)
Great words from you guys at 01:20-01:30!! Glad that you could make the travel on time and gain the experience from this tournament. 😇
Thank you so much 😃
Awesome video! Also, "He" is actually pronounced like "her" in Chinese names
Proudest moment!!!
One of the reasons I watched this video was because of Hendra Setiawan's thumbnail
I love you guys work so much
Ah thanks a lot 😀
A drop in the ocean compared to the tickets but hope it helps you keep doing what you do :)
Wow thank you so much Dhaval! We are honestly so grateful for your support 🤗
Hey Greg and Jenny, u deserve to win many more matches considering how good people u are not only on court but also off court. All the best for next tournaments. One question: Doesn't the UK Government pay for it travel expenses as u represent the national team?
Thanks Vivek! 🤗 Unfortunately not no!
@@BadmintonInsight Huh. Interesting arrangement. Definitely unexpected for me
Rooting for you both to win titles. ❤️
Nice video guys. Was good to catch up with you in Tokyo. Hope the taxi fare back from Heathrow wasn't too eye-watering.
Thanks Mark 😀 not as eye watering as the flights and tournament hotel 😂
Going to this video because of the MD Goat Hendra Setiawan 😄😄if you can get his interview or any other Indonesian players that would be awesome...or other countries players so cool too
We’ll definitely try in the future! We didn’t want to disturb him too much mid world championships!
the long awaited VLOG has finally come out
Hope you enjoy 😀
8:08 yeah sure he's the GOAT. God Hendra right there. what a career he's had. respect. Nice vlog Greg and Jenny. Greet from Java.
He is! Thanks a lot Beck 😀
It was fun watching the vlog. It was a great opportunity for you guys and worth it. The experience will nothing compare to any amount of money you guys will earn in your entire life. Happy for both of you. Also which match did you guys commenting? Would love to watch those games and listen to you guys commenting on them.
What exciting world you live in!!! Nice!
Haha thanks! We are very lucky indeed 🤗
Love the video, did watch your match against the Malaysian pair but was supporting my country over y’all’s lmao. But you two were really impressive
Haha that's fine 😅 we forgive you!
happy to see you on court and in your vlog
😆
Thanks Patrick 😀
I watched you guys live early morning on bwf channel livestream, you played well
Ah thanks 😊
Hey Guys! Can you please link the videos of your both matches and the match in which you did commentary? I tried but didn't find. Thanks in advance! ❤️
The commentary matches are in our pinned comment, our matches can be found if you search world championships 2022 day 3 court 3 and the same day 2 court 4! People have commented the time stamps on them. You might need a VPN to see the videos 😊
Hope you enjoyed your time in Japan as much as I enjoyed watching this😊
Ah thanks a lot - we’re not sure if we can answer that for certain or not!
