Rick Rude & The Raging Bull were one of the most vicious tag teams in the 1980s. Manny Fernandez helped train Rick Rude after he was scouted in Memphis. Aside from the Road Warriors, no one in the NWA was as dominant as Rick Rude and the Raging Bull. So why did Rick Rude leave for Vince McMahon's WWF in 1987? Hope you enjoy this Title Match Wrestling exclusive.

Bret Hart said the 2 greatest workers in his era were Curt Henning and Rick Rude. Rude loved Manny and Ricky and was very loyal to people. He kept his mouth shut and listened and respected veterans & later helped rookies. He later travelled with Steve Austin & Austin adored him like everyone else. A huge loss to wrestling

Damien Demento I watched a Rude in NWA and WCCW a couple years before he came to the WWF. The WWF was a kids show...he was used as a “gimmick” not really as a “pro wrestler”....WWF’s Target market was 8-10 year old little boys....sure little kids liked him vs. Jake and the Warrior....but that was some really “kiddy” stuff. I wish “Golden Era” WWF fans got to see Rude before he was in the WWF....he was so much better.

Rick Rude’s best years were spent in the WWE. Who could blame Rude for going to the WWE for better pay? He was the kind of heel that audiences loved to hate, and he helped a number of babyface superstars get over with the fans which sold tickets, PPVs, and merchandise. Then years later, Rick Rude was disgusted by the way that Bret Hart got the shaft during the ‘Montreal Screwjob’ so he jumped ship to WCW. Rude was a legitimate bad-ass as a boxer, a bouncer, and an armwrestler.

Relative to this interview your statement makes absolutely no sense

He is just brutally honest. I've seen dozens of his interviews. He praises just as many guys as he "throws under the bus", which actually is an inappropriate phrase for what you are implying. Manny was a good worker and a legit tough guy.

well, he has a distorted memory
my main interest every week was hoping to see Tully finally get his butt kicked and the Road Warriors win the tag belts

George Wagner honest? He played no football for the Chiefs and he wasn't a Vietnam Vet. Honest is last thing he is

Is there any wrestler in the world that does not believe that he, himself personally, isn't the biggest draw in the world?? So many jobbers, so much penis envy.

I've never heard one single person say they were at any particular wrestling event to see Manny Fernandez...Sadly, he believes his own BS...another glorified bathroom break guy

I wonder if Manny even believes the lies he tells. He probably does. This guy was never shit in wrestling.
