Wow!!! I made this tape this back in 1987. I uploaded it into Imesh and Bearshare. I can't believe it made it all the way to youtube a few years later!! I'm so glad that so many are enjoying it!! UNBELIEVABLE!! RIP Hawk & Rude.
now this is wrestling the way i remember.i miss those days, thanks to you tube i can watch the great matches & watch action that i've missed.you tube rocks
0:54........Miss Tag Teams that had epic ring entrances like the Road Warriors did. Hell, I miss Tag Teams in wrestling today like the Road Warriors as well as Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez!
Look at the HOF'ers in this match! Rick Rude, one of the 10 best of all time, in my opinion. If you remember his time in the WWF, no one, at all, drew as much heat as Rude. Watch, wrestlers of today, this is how you take a bump. Most people just remember the WWF Legion of Doom, but this is the best tag team ever in their prime. Raging Bull could do it all also-face, heel, bumping machine. Great stuff
Two legit tough guys... anyone thinking "rasslin" is fake and "rasslers" ain't that tough would be in for a rude surprise if they picked a fight with either of those guys in their prime.
They were unbeatable. I kept thinking each week the LOD or the R and R Express would beat them and nobody ever did. Rude split for the WWF so nobody ever pinned them.
That was cool for Rick Rude and Manny to come to the ring on Queen's song. That song fit them perfectly. I remember hearing them come to the ring on that song back in the day but never knew who made it back then.
Notice it didn't take 5 mins. for each tag team to get to the ring,Also they didn't need to take the mic and talk for another 10 mins. before they started wrestling.Man I really do miss those daysThanks for posting.
I think two matches that I wish would've taken place back in the heyday of tag wrestling would've been the Road Warriors vs The British Bulldogs and The Hart Foundation vs Midnight Express classics that we all missed out on but none-the-less we were given countless classic tag matches from the true tag teams of that era!!! Salute to REAL tag team wrestling!!!
+GTHABOSS74: Imagine the mic battles between the highly intelligent, sophisticated Precious Paul Ellering vs. the ranting and raving Captain Lou Albano. Or Jimmy Hart vs. his former understudy, Jim Cornette.
This was in The Bayfront Center in St Petersburg Fla, we were sitting about halfway up and I've been to just about every kind of entertainment event.I can honestly say with the exception of Nascar ive never been in a crowd as loud as when the Road Warriors came out.On tv you could hear Ironman but there live we only heard the intro and than the building was shaking it was so loud!
Most intimidating music and entrance EVER was when the road warriors music started playing. RIP Animal and Hawk we miss you so much wrestling is not the same without you
I do remember NWA Wrestling in 1987 year. Under Jim Crockett Wrestling Promotions. I do remember the moment of NWA Match. Rick Rude and Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defend their NWA World tag team title against the Road Warriors.
Best entrance songs going head to head ..... ozzy vs queen ...... Ric Rude n Manny fernandez were not like most tag teams who were intimidated by the warriors they stood their ground. Man these were the ol days of wrestling .
The NWA World Tag Team Champions (Rude and Fernandez) against the All-Japan International Tag Team Champions (The Road Warriors). Sad that Hawk, Rick Rude, and referee Randy "Pee-Wee" Anderson all died too young. RIP.
fyi hawk, animal,Rick ride and smash aka crusher krushev used to all bounce in a bar called grandma b's. I read they all used to regularly kick biker gangs asses when they got out of hand. true bad asses.
Jesus Christ, I don't remember Hawk ever bringing a mace to the ring. I always liked Rude and Fernandez as a team. It added an extra dimension to the heel side of the NWA so that it wasn't always the Horsemen or the Midnight Express at the top of the card.
yea the old robinsdale high school. I tell you what I sure loved the nwa I can not watch this cartoon trash that is on today. The nwa just had a different feel about it and it was loud.
DAMN THOSE ROPES ARE LOOSE! Animal litterally moved the ropes, turnbuckles, EVERYTHING by simply pulling on one rope. He could have torn the ring down!
that is very so true. I really agree with you 100%. They didnt even have the iron man music. That what a rush music was trash and their spikes were red. They lack the rawness when they came to the wwf/wwe.
True story originally Rick Rude was going to team with Animal instead of Hawk Ole Anderson called Ed Sharkey and asked him to send him a wrestler to team with Animal so Rude went but Anderson didn't like how they looked together so he sent Hawk
very rare you see the champions come to the ring first, the Road warriors were just that Bad! Normally the opponents get beat up or run out of the ring when the road warriors hit the ring, shows how much respect they had for each other
Damn no one here mentions who' s doing play by play ? The one and only Big Daddy Dink!! OLIVER HUMPERDINK! Manger of Scott Bam Bam Bigelow Mr Wonderful etc....

Thank you I loved Rick and Manny. I often pulled for the heels hahaha
Thanks man
AND ANIMAL
Thank You .
I do remember wrestlers Road Warriors Hawk and Rick Rude.
Man I miss those days. Wrestling was so good during that era.
Just not the same anymore
I totally agree
The best
The best
It is awful now
The best era of rasling!!! Mid South..NWA..early WCW
now this is wrestling the way i remember.i miss those days, thanks to you tube i can watch the great matches & watch action that i've missed.you tube rocks
R.I.P. RIC RUDE, you are missed a lot..love all four of these wrestlers, this was tag team wrestling..not like now.
0:54........Miss Tag Teams that had epic ring entrances like the Road Warriors did. Hell, I miss Tag Teams in wrestling today like the Road Warriors as well as Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez!
Yeah wwe really destroyed tag team wrestling idk how they accomplished that though
There's The Briscoe Brothers, Young Bucks, SCU, and many more great tag teams around.
The action in the past was in and around the ring without the gab unless it's a promo.
@@suzannehankins380 none of them are better then Killer Bees

The Ravishing One and The Raging Bull, what an underrated pairing!
Two legit tough guys... anyone thinking "rasslin" is fake and "rasslers" ain't that tough would be in for a rude surprise if they picked a fight with either of those guys in their prime.
Bubba Dewy
Indeed man.
They're a bunch of pussies! I've slapped women harder than they punch
they were so good that the promotion had to start selling merchandise as heels which was unheard of at the the time.
They were unbeatable. I kept thinking each week the LOD or the R and R Express would beat them and nobody ever did. Rude split for the WWF so nobody ever pinned them.
One of the hardest wrestling themes ever we will rock you
man I miss wrestling like this.which is why I give up on it now.great intros they come out to.
I love that Hawk just brings a god damn flail to the ring
That was cool for Rick Rude and Manny to come to the ring on Queen's song. That song fit them perfectly. I remember hearing them come to the ring on that song back in the day but never knew who made it back then.
I still remember Rick Rude's entrance ring music. Being Sade Smooth Operator..
All three rocking the mercury stache
Hard to believe both Road Warriors are dead 😔 I miss old school wrestling
Yeah they looked so healthy
Notice it didn't take 5 mins. for each tag team to get to the ring,Also they didn't need to take the mic and talk for another 10 mins. before they started wrestling.Man I really do miss those daysThanks for posting.
Thanks for this. I saw this when it was aired and went crazy over the Road Warriors. Glad somebody else enjoyed it like I did.
The Legion of Doom pop is second to none. Such ring presence and charisma.
+BassasaurusRex: The Undertaker is right up there with them.
+GTHABOSS74: Imagine the mic battles between the highly intelligent, sophisticated Precious Paul Ellering vs. the ranting and raving Captain Lou Albano. Or Jimmy Hart vs. his former understudy, Jim Cornette.
He Fernandez, Rude and Jones entrances was pretty bad ass too! And the staches were in full effect.
When wrestling was WRASSLIN'!!! Could watch this stuff all day.
what greats! This is by far the best Road Warriors entrance! The Bull and Rick Rude? are you kidding me? awesome!
Hawk and Animal were so exciting... Ya see two massively muscled studs each weighing around 285 pounds. Brutally awesome!
Most intimidating music and entrance EVER was when the road warriors music started playing. RIP Animal and Hawk we miss you so much wrestling is not the same without you
That was awesome! Man o man what used to be in life.
The entrance music by Jones, Rude and Fernandez was pretty badass.
Not as badass as when road warriors music started playing it’s good but nothing compares to enter iron man in my opinion
@@krakenNation Damn Straight! ah ha Nothing better than Road Warrior/Iron Man
1980s NWA wrestling. It's Fantastic
Good match. Always loved watching the Road Warriors work.
rick rude was a wrestling god!
Damn! Now that is some great stuff. Rude & Fernandez we're my favorite 80s tag-team.
I do remember NWA Wrestling in 1987 year. Under Jim Crockett Wrestling Promotions. I do remember the moment of NWA Match. Rick Rude and Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defend their NWA World tag team title against the Road Warriors.
Rude......one of the great sellers
rude and the road warriors were old friends from way back.
@@endrsgm Youre absolutely right
I like how Rude gets in Hawk's face at the beginning. He had balls! Great match, thanks for posting!
Rude was no slouch and could handle himself but him and hawk were good friends
@@starwars518 animal to ☝️
@@buckster2575 This is true
Ive watched this match 100 times and I STILL crack up every time Rude waves his hand around to the crowd and tries to hit Hawk with the DDT.
Classic. Two of the best tag teams going at it.
Best entrance songs going head to head ..... ozzy vs queen ...... Ric Rude n Manny fernandez were not like most tag teams who were intimidated by the warriors they stood their ground. Man these were the ol days of wrestling .
the LOD was simply the best tag team EVER.
By your logic Andre the giant is the greatest singles wrestler ever
by your logic . . . .

If you notice my Profile pic, I tend to agree with you
ricky morton robert gibson rocknroll express goats
God I love those days. They built it up perfectly, new unbeatible heels against the unstoppable faces. that is what good wrestling writing used to be
ya
Damn good match! Sad to think half of these guys have passed away.
This is so much fun to watch!
2021: 10 minutes for one entrance. 1987: 1 minute for one entrance.
And those entrances were so much more epic.
The two baddest entrance songs ever
Now this is what I call wrestling. The old nwa wrestling.
31 years ago LAST month . THANK YOU ( 12 years later )
True legends.
The golden years of wrestling
2 of the best theme songs, although Smooth Operator was perfect for Rude as a single
I had to look at the ring entrances like 20 times before I even began watching the match!!
Love hearing the original entrance!
The no sell on the wipe of Hawk was beautiful stuff I have never seen anybody else do that
Manny Fernandez was exciting to watch. he left the NWA around the time Rick Rude did. Paul Jones had a stable of wrestlers.
The NWA World Tag Team Champions (Rude and Fernandez) against the All-Japan International Tag Team Champions (The Road Warriors).
Sad that Hawk, Rick Rude, and referee Randy "Pee-Wee" Anderson all died too young. RIP.
Rick Rude was the World Class world Champion when World Class pulled from the NWA Rick Rude was the first WCWA world Heavyweight Champion 🏆
Dam love the Road Warriors my fav tag team of all time (RIP Hawk) and then Hart Foundation and now the Hary Boyz
fyi hawk, animal,Rick ride and smash aka crusher krushev used to all bounce in a bar called grandma b's. I read they all used to regularly kick biker gangs asses when they got out of hand. true bad asses.
these Legends belong in WWE 2K17
Jesus Christ, I don't remember Hawk ever bringing a mace to the ring. I always liked Rude and Fernandez as a team. It added an extra dimension to the heel side of the NWA so that it wasn't always the Horsemen or the Midnight Express at the top of the card.
Great team. The NWA really dropped the ball not ponying up for Rude.
I love watching this stuff even back when they just came out!!!
2 of the greatest tag teams EVER! Thank you for the vid!!
this was wrestling!
Onove best matches I've seen
4 gone manny still with us legends I salute
Good stuff. Do you have the Flair Dusty match, that was coming up next.
Robinsdale Minnesota to be exact for Rick Rude
Great memories
The thumbnails picture is crisp af
Yeah it was agianst jim cornette and the midnight express and its on youtube, you just have to look for it.
How many wrestlers have used we will rock you as their theme music I know that Tully Blanchard used it in the Southwest territory
you do not here pop like that ever not in a long long time.
The road warriors are the greatest tag team in wrestling history.
LOL Loved the mace Hawk! RIP Ric Rude & Hawk
urge251980 Of course, Hawk and Rude pretty much grew up together along with Curt Hennig and Barry Darsow.
+Brian Washington yep same high school z man went to school with them as well aka tom zenk
Really? I didn't know about Zenk.
yea the old robinsdale high school. I tell you what I sure loved the nwa I can not watch this cartoon trash that is on today. The nwa just had a different feel about it and it was loud.
Yep. They treated it like it was real and like it was a sport.
The Road Warriors and Rick Rude were awesome!
what about the Bull?
DAMN THOSE ROPES ARE LOOSE! Animal litterally moved the ropes, turnbuckles, EVERYTHING by simply pulling on one rope. He could have torn the ring down!
Awesome! Thanks for posting this match ecuacuban!!
litterly 2 of the greatest tag teams ever.
One was only together a few months
Man what a finish great match
RIP Rude and HAWK WHAT A RUSH IN HEAVEN
this would be great instructional video for young wrestlers today on how to play the crowd and drawing heat just a lot of settle this by both teams
Willdbill hecox swestern
that is very so true. I really agree with you 100%. They didnt even have the iron man music. That what a rush music was trash and their spikes were red. They lack the rawness when they came to the wwf/wwe.
Damn, Oliver Humperdink was pretty good as an announcer, good voice, good knowledge.
True story originally Rick Rude was going to team with Animal instead of Hawk Ole Anderson called Ed Sharkey and asked him to send him a wrestler to team with Animal so Rude went but Anderson didn't like how they looked together so he sent Hawk
And sadly Manny is the last man left....RIP Animal n Hawk Rick Rude
I remember when this match took place. Hell, I remember when Manny Fernandez was a good guy.
Flying Burrito
The road warriors pop. What a pop!
love it miss it
Epic entrance, LOD for life!!!!
The production was the drizzling shit but the action was hot
When wrestling was Good. Nothing like the audience popping for The Road Warriors....
We always went good together
very rare you see the champions come to the ring first, the Road warriors were just that Bad! Normally the opponents get beat up or run out of the ring when the road warriors hit the ring, shows how much respect they had for each other
I think The Road Warriors and Rick Rude went to the same high school together.
RIP Rude and Hawk.
+Rob Bridges U mean Roid High?
+ollihp I guess they didn't do enough to effect they're nuts since Animal has kids
Irondale High School in Robbinsdale Minnesota
He died on May 5, 2002 after a battle with cancer. He was only 42 years old.
That entrance music suited them to a tee
Rick Rude and Manny Fernandez should be one of the greatest tag teams of all time
If they were together more than a few months
I remember when he would wrestle here in San Antonio Texas for Tully's dad .
Take note Indy fans. Hawk gets a bigger pop out of the audience with one look than anyone these days with 20 choreographed flips.
RW are the best! Good tag match. Rude went to the wwf and the bull went mid-card.
Damn no one here mentions who' s doing play by play ? The one and only Big Daddy Dink!! OLIVER HUMPERDINK! Manger of Scott Bam Bam Bigelow Mr Wonderful etc....
they were the best tag team i think pound for pound
