Very underrated song writers & musicians.

tbh i'm a bit tired of reading that "underrated" thing under every video on yt. :) they got a lot of well-deserved fame, more than any other 2-tone act and ska bands before them who paved the way. they were in tv shows, they had huge chart success, everyone knows them even today. think they can't complain.
i fully suscribe to the first two sentences. they're not only brilliant musicians, it has always been and still is so much fun to see them. will never stop listening to their records.

Lived in America during the 80s when this was released. They just didn't get Madness and their humour. They could watch this video and there would be nothing, no smile, no foot tapping nothing. Pleased we didn't have to share them with the Americans tbh. Madness are and always will be England's finest. One of our own.

So you lived in America, but didn't want them to be popular there? Even though they might have toured the US with more popularity? Didn't that hurt you back then? I feel like you were trying to show up Americans for being parochial, but showed your own parochialism is far worse. Pettier. Smaller.

Rumour has it, that Iveco truck that got parachuted at the end was built to such a high standard that it is still running and roadworthy to this day 🤨

I can't stand modern music so I listen to Madness.
    They rule!
edit: I've kinda changed my opinion on this lol, it's okay to dislike modern music but I've realised that there's some good stuff out there, it just takes a while to find it

I always did like them (and I was about twelve when America caught on to them), but had no idea how brilliant they really are. I've been listening to my husband's records and anything else I can find, and I like them best of all the 2 Tone bands.

Very very strong Caribbean influence in this song.

Parasmunt they were hugely influenced by Jamaican dance hall stuff , like all ska type stuff ,madness were more accessible to the masses than most ska bands hence their success, though funnily enough rumour has it that 'bed and breakfast man'was about ian from skrewdriver a right wing skins band

I used to listen to this song on Top of the Pops as a young toddler. Every time it came up, I used to dance to it. And only remembered the "Whoa - Whoa." After growing up, I occasionally, I used to search for it offhandedly, never found it. I just did. :) and I still love it.

Such a great tune. I wish they had even more agency to do more music. They show more class than those of the 'upper class,' which should make everyone think...a lesson for humanity.
