You have the best video on the subject I have seen. I had to replace the wiring harness that you showed. but the disassembly You showed. made my project easier. Thanks'
Wish I would have watched this video first. Explanation on Fan orientation is very helpful. I wasted a lot of time trying to get it back in, not knowing were tab lined up. And first video of blender actuator I've seen. My next project. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. I'm working on a 2005 1500. Same issues. The blend door doesn't function, the resistor is rusty and only works if you wiggle it and no voltage output on speed 5, the updated harness that I put on like 10-12 years ago is melted again, the blower motor doesn't spin even if jumped to full 12 volts. I'm going to order all 3 parts as mine are bad. Thanks for the awesome video!
On my 06 2500HD 6.6 with the digital auto A/C I had to replace my 3 pin Resistor plug with a 5 pin model. Auto parts store doesn't carry the three pin model, only the 5 pin CONVERSION. I had to cut the old plug off and splice in the new 5 pin that took the hardwired 2 pin connector and added it to the 3 pin making it a single 5 pin connector that had the 2 pin branch off from the connector to go to the blower motor. Still has an aluminum heat sink but has a 5 fin from the factory 2 fin design.
Thanks for the detailed help, now I have heat again, I ended just needing the blower motor but thanks to your help I was able to diagnose and fix the problem myself
Video helps me out a lot, thanks. Years ago when I was younger I changed a blower out on a older chevy and it was sideways facing the front of the vehicle and extremely hard to get to. This looks a little easier. I hope.
Great video and explanation on function. I quicky rigged a resister actuator years ago and just had to get another. Apparently last time I had to cut and change the harness to fewer pins but now, naturally, i got another larger pin eet up. Typical. However, this vid inspired me to change the blend too. Thanks.
Excellent video, very well photographed and explained. I have similar problems with my 2005 2500 HD 8.1 litre engine, 6 speed manual transmission. Going to replace same 3 parts.
Thanks 🙏 for shearing this video I have seen a lot of them on this subject but I found this one to be the best help to my Silverado 1500 ! Thanks again, I will be watching for great video’s for you
I bought some off Amazon what time and it didn't work. It gave me more problems so I went back to the OEM.. and he was cheaper to get the OEM for the blower motor and the resistor
You sir, saved me a bunch of time and having to take it in to a mechanic. Thank you.

What is he actuator for?
The actuator moves the blender door which causes it to blow hot or cold air

Replacing the cabin air filter would have also been duck soup EZ while you were there
