One thing most don't mention or know. Before you swap either actuator out, recalibrate. I was experiencing an intermittent issue with one side blowing hot air with the ac on. Came across a video that mentioned to try recalibration first. Did a little more research and found a video that details the process. Was able to recalibrate it and has worked fine for the last two years. So far so good. In my suburban the lower actuator is very difficult to swap out but the upper is a real beast.
I had the same problem as you. I re-calibrated it and it worked great for about 2 years. It acted up again with a dead battery. If the battery goes dead and you adjust any of the climate controls before it has a chance to relearn the actuator positions then it goes out of calibration again.

I get cold air in the back of my 2002 chevy Suburban 1500 ,but hot air from passenger and driver's side front ,could it be this same actuator the problem?
Yes this should fix your problem, just be sure to get the correct part number to your Suburban they can be very different from analog to digital. Please Subscribe it will help me out! Thank you and stay safe!
Definitely more parts to tear down but there should be a elevator for top and floor and another to distribute/separate Cold and Hot air, best of luck and let me know how it goes 😀 👍 🙏 don't forget to subscribe to my channel #SirMaloPerformance Thanks
Ah your good bro, after watching it again that was clearly my Buccaneers!.. lol! Nah but it is a great video for real, a BIG help for an average do it yourselfer who'd be having that prob n not knowing where to find that thing, l mean just hearing the name of that part for the first time sounds like a French coffee pot type shit! Haha! I definitely liked and subscribed bro. Oh yeah, is it possible to take a heater core resistor outta 07 Classic and clean the corrosion off? Mines working but cutting in and out from 3-5.
Hahaha thanks Bro much love! And for that 07 part there should not be a big difference between them I would definitely try and get that done, the only changes are from digital to manually controlled interface, everything else should be plug and play, Thanks again and best of luck this Year if your a Buccaneers Fan hopefully 49ers(my team) vs Buccaneers will be the NFC Championship Game this Year and may the best team win!!
@@SirMaloPerformance hey thanks man! No lm not no Buccaneers fan that was just the cleanest way l could think to say my fu#*$ng ears was the reason l thought u said Ford Silverado. Can I just plug in the new one and turn on the heater to make sure it works before I go to the trouble of mounting it in place with the hard to reach screws?
Yes always bench test it by doing exactly that, I would test it by seeing it rotate from left to right when selecting hot to cold and vice versa, please be sure to like and subscribe to my channel #sirmaloperformance 😀 I'd appreciate the support 🙏✌️
I just want to thank you so much for your video, because I had the exact same problem of the driver side blowing cold air and no heat....the other videos on this topic were too confusing and you made it more simple. I ordered the part on Amazon and paid about 15 bucks to solve this problem. In comparison, I had called my Chevy dealer for an estimate and they gave me a price of between 600-1,200 depending on which actuator it was. I told them which one it was, but they didn't want to rely on my opinion and suggested charging a "diagnostics fee" of atleast 200 bucks to ensure it was the one I was saying it was. The 200 bucks would have been applied towards the repair, but they would not differeniate between the $600 and $1,200 actuator replacement. In addition to all the money I saved because of your video, I also saved days of going without my truck, having to drop it off and leave at the dealer. I'm an old lady and this is amazing to me. Thanks again for your help. You are providing a great service. @@SirMaloPerformance
Great little video. I'm having issues with my 05. Its either cold or very hot. no in-between, I'm hoping this will fix it. Mine has the digital controls. just cant have a range of temps. it's hot or cold lol.

Mine in my 06 goes from a/c over to heat on the drivers side, but a/c continues on the passenger side. Also, my temp control module on the dash, the blower motor speed switch is scrambled. The number 1 is number 4, number 2 doesn't work, number 3 is 3, and 5 is 5, but after about 10 minutes of being on the high setting of a/c, the wiring under the dash starts smoking on the number 5 setting, the rest, not so much.

I think your situation it will only solve the clicking part, but you never know replace it and see what happens if it don't fix your issue's simply return the part back, and take it to a shop for further diagnostics. Thanks be sure to subscribe!
Great video... did you happen to run across one with the center console? My 04 Silverado does, I expect it to take me a lot longer just to get to it but it sounds like the exact same issue, thanks!

Yes, this issue will normally either cause your "Driver's Side air" to only blow all hot or all cold and he is replacing it cause it either doesn't work or it intermittently works.

@Yadiel Corrales The Blend Door Actuator should fix your problem of throwing Hot or Cold, But please make sure to get the correct part number(s) because not all applications are the same there's difference between all these Silverado truck's, so just be sure to get the right part for your truck, also feel free to DM me through my Instagram page Username: sirmalo_performance instagram.com/sirmalo_performance?r=nametag we can go from there if you run into more problems let me know Be Sure To Subscribe I would Appreciate the Support!!!

@@jerrodcanfield9736 try to send me a video clip on Instagram sirmalo_performance have you installed the actuator yet? If so what does it do? And the alignment stud does that twist and turn you should be able to hear the blend door slap back n forth
Mine blows hot on one side and then it throws cold but then the driver side starts to blow hot too could it be the same part mine is a chevy suburban 04
@elite concept yes replacing this part should fix your problem, just make sure you give the autoparts store your info to get the correct part number for your SUV. Thanks be sure to Subscribe and spread the word of SirMalo Performance thank you and have a great day!😁✌👌👍

With your hand manually move the Door Blend Flap(where the actuator mounts you can turn it by hand) if there's changes with hot and cold, then its a defective part or installed incorrectly, Please Subscribe to my channel I would appreciate the support.

was it this part or the one in the dash?
Thanks for the info. What brand did you use?
Hey glad it helped, I went with AC Delco, I have tried Dorman in other trucks but there is no different results as long as it works and it comes with warranty I am happy! Not sponsored by either company yet until then please Subscribe to my channel I appreciate the support!!!
Neither my heat or AC work just get a clicking noise, will this sensor fix my issue?
I think your situation it will only solve the clicking part, but you never know replace it and see what happens if it don't fix your issue's simply return the part back, and take it to a shop for further diagnostics. Thanks be sure to subscribe!
i have the same problem but it blows cold on passenger side when on heat. Any tips for that blend door?

Anyone who knows please Post the part number for that bottom kick panel piece I sure would love to know?! Please Subscribe to my channel #SirMaloPerformance 🙏😁🙏 I appreciate the support!
I have the same problem but opposite... could mine be the same fix?
Yes, this issue will normally either cause your "Driver's Side air" to only blow all hot or all cold and he is replacing it cause it either doesn't work or it intermittently works.
Mines not blowing any air out at al but it lights up the control module I put a new module now when I turn the key I hear a slight thump only once every time and when I turn the ac that still doesn’t blow air out I hear some crunch noise for around 7 seconds can you guys help its hot where I live
Mine too
Did you get a chance to swap this part out I hope it fixed it 😃👍 please be sure to subscribe #SirMaloPerformance
When I turn the ac on my driver side is hot but passenger is cold. Will this fix it? I heard there is like 4 different actuators?

My truck was blowing hot air out the driver side and cold air on the passenger. I tried to recalibrate it and now blows cold but mostly hot air out of the driver side and only hot air out the passenger. By changing this part with it fix it for both sides?
@Yadiel Corrales The Blend Door Actuator should fix your problem of throwing Hot or Cold, But please make sure to get the correct part number(s) because not all applications are the same there's difference between all these Silverado truck's, so just be sure to get the right part for your truck, also feel free to DM me through my Instagram page Username: sirmalo_performance

@@SirMaloPerformance I believe mine is broke off. I see the two screw holes and the alignment stud and a circle flat spot.
@@jerrodcanfield9736 try to send me a video clip on Instagram sirmalo_performance have you installed the actuator yet? If so what does it do? And the alignment stud does that twist and turn you should be able to hear the blend door slap back n forth
Would this fix the door flapping sound I hear every time I turn my truck on?

So the mount bolts are 7mm?
Metric not SAE for sure?
On my setup yes I use 7mm but I also have used 1/4 on other customer silverados so I work with what's in front of me, be sure to like and subscribe to my channel
What if I'm not getting heat out of either or???
I would change it just make sure everything else is okay Freon levels and compressor check, Subscribe to My channel SirMalo Performance
I just changed mine today. Before I changed it i wasn't getting any heat on the driver side only on the passenger side. after installing the new part I'm not getting any cold air on the driver side only on the passenger side. The passenger side works fine but I'm having issues with the driver side. Any idea what's wrong with it?
With your hand manually move the Door Blend Flap(where the actuator mounts you can turn it by hand) if there's changes with hot and cold, then its a defective part or installed incorrectly, Please Subscribe to my channel I would appreciate the support.

I bought a new one and put it on and still blowing heat through drivers side but passengers is ice cold , any help ?
@leezyf2334 Sorry, I would try to turn that shaft manually to see if cold air flows through. If so, then I would replace the item bought, but if not, then there might be something more to diagnosis. Don't forget to subscribe to #SirMaloPerformance, and best of luck 😁
Is this the same as a "mode door actuator"? My issue on my 2005 silverado is it only blows air on the floor?
@Kevin Hendrix changing the blend door actuator won't fix the mode level actuator, now that being said, do not be surprised if they are the same part number for your truck, both blend & mode actuators, I am sorry I couldn't be any more help to you, but thank you for your comment and please Subscribe I would appreciate the support! I'm sure in the future I'll upload a video of changing that level mode actuator!😁✌👌👍
