Titan XD tail light black out to midnight edition with ZEP (don’t make the mistake I did)!

This video is to show the process for blacking out tail lights from the inside using Zep degreaser to dissolve the chrome inside of the housing. Quick easy process with a great look in the end.

Not what I was expecting when I read the description. I thought you were going to put some tinting film on the lights. I had no idea you could dissolve chrome off of plastic with ZEP. I like the look, but I don't mind the chrome as well. Glad you figured it out and glad to learn something cool about removing chrome. Thanks.

I don’t think it will dissolve real chrome like on metal bumpers, but the cheap chrome plating in the taillights, or headlights it worked like a charm.

Did this decrease the reverse and brake light visibility?
