- This is the install process for a 2” Pro Comp level kit (part#64160) on my 2018 Nissan Titan XD Pro 4X. This is an easy install that most should be able to handle in their driveways with no special tools required. You will need a jack and jack stand. Wrenches in a 14mm, 17mm, and 22mm. You will also need deep well, and regular sockets in the same sizes with a ratchet. A ball peen hammer is needed to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle, and a large pry bar comes in handy to help the strut assembly go back in. Thats it, hope you enjoy the video!
The best Titan leveling kit install. The 'pro tips' were PERFECT! Too easy.
Thank you. This really was an easy install that most people can tackle with some basic tools.
I have a 2024 Nissan Titan Pro 4XXD in Baja storm and I love it. Super cool what you’re doing here I just don’t trust my mechanical skills.
@@HomesteadOverlandVirginia haha I can understand that. It really was a very easy install. The easiest one I have done to date.
Looks great! Did you notice any issues with flipping the strut 180° - The bottom of the strut seat is sitting on the outside - was there any noise or concerns?
@@onspotpowerwashing no. The strut fits exactly the same when spun around. No noise, rubbing or anything. The bottom of the strut is symmetrical so it makes no difference which way the bottom goes back in.
@@bubbaschannel0310 Thanks for the quick reply - I was going to use a spring compressor to clock the bottom, thanks for the great post and support! Happy New Year
@ you are certainly welcome. I rented a spring compressor to have on hand for putting the spring back in but it was not needed at all.
I really don't know why they dropped this color scheme. One of the best they had imo. Looks good
Thanks, I honestly was on the fence with the color. They had a brand new White Pro 4X and I liked the white one. I was not willing to pay the price for a new one though. Now that I have it though I do like the color a lot and it really stays looking clean for a long time also 😁
Nice! I wish I could add a pic of mine. But I had the professional add a 2” lift all around on my 23 Titan XD Pro4X and I tow a 5th Wheel…
Did you notice any issues with sway when towing?
@@los1775 not at all. Some of that is the hitch though which I lime a lot. I use the Anderson chain system which is fantastic. This truck has no sway at all much better to pull with than the F-350 I was coming from.
@bubbaschannel0310 awesome thank you for the info. Thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these xds.
@ the only complaint I have with the truck is the infotainment system. Not the speakers and amp, those sound great but the radio itself is very lacking. I just purchased an aftermarket airplay screen that Installed tonight and I will most likely do a review video for others to try out.
Hi did you need a front end alignment afterwards? Thanks
It is always recommended. I was planning to get one when I put the new tires on and it was just a little bit off when it was checked so yes.
Where did u buy the kit to lift the truck? What link? Please and thank you.
@@TATO80 a.co/d/e8TdIZF
@@TATO80 I purchased it online, the Amazon link shows only 1.5” of lift, but if you check the Pro Comp part number on their website it is a 2” kit.
Will this part number fit on the newer generation XD? I have a 2022 and would like to do this same kit. Thanks and great video
I believe so since the suspension is the same but I would suggest that you confirm it on ProComps website. That is what I did, and then ordered it from Amazon.
Can you post a link to the kit you used?
@@jacksonjacobs1818 Pro Comp (64160) 1.5" Level Lift www.amazon.com/dp/B005GDZPNS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@@bubbaschannel0310 that says 1.5” I thought you did a 2” level.
@@jacksonjacobs1818 you are correct in the description, that is the one I ordered, but the kit from Pro Comp with that part number is 2”. The listing title is wrong.
Nice video, im getting close to pulling the trigger on an XD. Being that you tow with this rig, do you get any squat on the rear with this spacer lift? I tow a 5500 boat regularly.
@@EODtrooper only the smallest of squat with the 9,500 lb camper. No squat at all when I pull my father in laws Hydrasport center console with it. It is on a double axle aluminum trailer and probably weighs in about 5K lbs.
@@bubbaschannel0310 Thanks for the reply, that sounds good. I know the XD has heavier springs, my boat is also on a dual axle trailer. Appreciate the info, my local nissan dealer has Titan XD SV 4x4 model with some big discounts, it might be the one for me.
@@EODtrooper if I could offer one piece of advice it would be to get the power adjustable seats! Leather if possible but don’t opt for the manual SV seats. Years ago I had a 2017 non xd SV model and the thing I(and my wife) hated the most about that truck was the seats. Could not make them comfortable. Even to the point I was buying large washers and longer bolts to raise the back of the seat up with washers because it sat too low and was not comfortable. This 2018 Pro 4x has the 8 way power leather zero gravity seats and they are worth whatever it may cost to get them over the standard manual seats.
Just got a Titan, same model. What size tires are on your truck?
@@downsouthoutdoors8928 in this video it was the factory size of 275/65R18 however after the level kit I upgraded the tires and went with 275/70R18 about an inch bigger. There is another video on the new tires.
@@bubbaschannel0310 thanks for the reply. Mine has 275/65/18 as well with the rake which I hate. I plan on getting it leveled and possibly the larger tires. Thanks. Sub’d
@@downsouthoutdoors8928 I appreciate it and yeah, I couldn’t stand the rake. Sits perfect now.
Is that a Pro Comp or Ready Lift?
