Firstly i very rarely subscribe to channels, but dyc is my subscription number 4 added, this response was so controlled and so respectful (to lets face it, a non-informed super moron, clearly struggling with enough brainpower to mutitask breathing and anything else) this is how business should be done, very well done sir. Awesome product, great entertaining and informative channel and thoroughly decent guy. Keep it up, now waiting for my first notification
I'm very impressed on how you handled this, I have always been interested in trying to use plastic dip but was too scared to mess it up. Seeing how well you talked about this process and the how to was so informative Im going to try and do a small project and see how it comes out.
You’re right. I watched a bunch of videos from many people using Plasti dip. I tried it and it took me a little to get it right. You need to practice. Practice makes perfect. Your look between the bad videos is priceless. Keep being respectful. You win. Enough said.
Don’t worry, bro. We are doing our best to counter act misinformation. I just discovered plasti-dip, and it worked stunningly well on my car emblems, tail pipes, and exterior plastic. I’ve been singing it’s praises to a dozen people this week. Now I’m just looking for things to dip. ‘To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail’.
You probably have more happy customers than the other guy. You are respectful, and despite the bashing, you're willing to make things right by educating people and then some. Now THAT'S customer service! I am sold!
I've been contemplating dipping my car, then I saw a car parked at work that was dipped - I loved it, I'm sold on dipping. Looking forward to it as soon as I finish the bodywork repairs.
Of course he will defend plastidip is his whole business and living lmao plastidip has its pros and cons. It looks good for small stuff, but it never really goods in a whole car in person. You can tell straight off the bat that is plastidip which is considered cheap to vinyl and paint. It doesn't look good in wheels either. The wheel area is always hot and plasti dip will not last that long there. Overall, is a product that has been overhyped and defended by people who are cheap and don't want to spend the big bucks for the legit quality stuff like spray paint, new wheels, powder coating, vinyl, etc. Good to have options for people with less money but to claim that plasti dip is this product that can compete with the other ones is ridiculous.
Man, your little inhale/sigh before showing folks peeling their vehicles had me laughing too much... great, respectful, and thoughtful vid. I come here for the colors.
Clearly he was trying to hype up his own company and whatever product they sell while trying to dissuade potential customers from dipping. It’s so sad to see people behave this way. Luckily dippers know the truth! I like how you took the high road fonzi
Enough respect to you fonzi for being a professional and a decent guy most people out there would of roasted him for a bad review, but you did it in such a way that shows you do care about your product and even more importantly your customers as obviously he was one at some point
I've actually heard of spray on peel-able coatings and with all the horror stories came here totally skeptical. After watching your videos over the past months I am actually looking to get the product. So basically you converted me from a skeptic to a still slightly skeptical but very willing to try. One thing I will say is having worked in a auto body shop proper technique is imperative to every product. I see cars and trucks these days where someone sprayed the bumper themselves or tried to paint a single panel. Worst are the ones who do a total respray without knowing what they are doing. I remember a pickup owner who replaced the fender and door but didn't mix the paint and hardener enough. Some of the paint remained soft and malleable so when we had to fix the problem we had to take the panels back to bare metal. All methods can go wrong if not done properly. As for how you handled this Fonzie. Bravo. Great job because you made it entertaining, explained the issues and even reached out offering to teach him how to do it right. All this without shaming or making fun of him. Edit:Typo
Great rebuttal, bro. Tipping my hat to you. Totally a class act. I've got 6 cans of PD in my garage right now, and I'm going to Dip the chrome badges and inlays, and silver front and rear cowling of my 4Runner tomorrow. Just need to run out and get some masking tape/painters tape and a newspaper. I've watched your videos on Dipping and will watch again before I get to the job. I've never done this before, so I'm a little nervous to try it for the first time on a brand-new vehicle. But, I know if I screw up the first application, no harm done, I can just peal it off and start over again. Thanks for sharing your videos with us. They are great.
Coming across this video quite a while after it was made, but wanted to give super props to you for keeping it respectful and factual. Makes me want to support your company. Thumbs up.
Very well done keeping it under control. I just blacked out all the chrome, badges, reflectors and grill on my Mercedes. Honestly I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to everyone who showed me PlastiDip
I've used Plasti dip for several years and it's a amazing product.... The trick to Plasti dip is applying it correctly and applying at least 4 coats. Follow this and it will peel right off. I blacked out my BMW motorcycle and rims and it looks amazing. I didn't like the color on my rims so I simply peeled it off and applied a different color. I ride my motorcycle in all weather and I don't know what this guy is talking about saying you can't wash any dirt off of it. I've never had that problem
I helpped someone with a white base pearl dip, he tried to do it like the guy Fonz is talking about. I told him you need to treat it like a good roller brush, make it heavy. Did two coats base, and two coats pearl. He was able to clean his dip and evetually remove it no problem. People need to know how to apply dip(and paints) right to make it look good and work as intended.
Hi Fonzi, don't normally comment but you have been grinding hard ever since you launched your business. In the beginning the product might not have been the best but I have seen you improved and refine it over the years. Props to you for putting the grind in. Lastly, super classy for offering that guy a free tutorial on how to dip his car. Keep doing what you're doing! Peace out
I’m not a pro. No experience in dipping. Only reason I bought them is because this store in a mall in Toronto is selling them really cheap. Probably old stock. So I bought boxes of it. Used it on rims, hoods, badges and emblems, Tried to do a whole car but got too lazy. I did the roof, trunk, hood and decided I’m just too lazy. Peeled it off without any problems. No damage on my paint. I have a thing about rims and I have a lot. Most of them dipped. I even have one that’s been on there since 20015. It’s 2019 now and I pressure wash it, clean it etc... never had any issues. All this from plasti dip cans that are probably old stock. Still works fine. Some of them stored in my shed, most in the basement. Used the ones on the shed for a friends beat up car thinking it’s not going to come out good because it’s been sitting there winter spring summer and fall. Thought it’s probably ruined. But was surprised it still came out good. Just a bunch of guys with no experience goofing around. Just saying. Peace.

I have never heard of plasidiping your car but i'm glad I ran across your video. I'll be looking at this further for my Liberty.
The fact that you handle this like a true professional speaks volumes. I always watched the videos here and there but I’m definitely subscribing
Fonzie you were very fair in you opinion I hope the guy takes you up on your offer and ends with a positive experience for all
Don’t worry, bro.
I am sold!
forget this dude, are we gonna see the collaboration video with Donut Media ?
truuuuuu they need to re-do that low car 350z spray job
Yeah they messed that up, but atleast they were upfront about it. They Even showed how good plastidip can look, if done correctly.
they actually released it on facebook last week
Donut media are bad ass
Came out today
I've been contemplating dipping my car, then I saw a car parked at work that was dipped - I loved it, I'm sold on dipping. Looking forward to it as soon as I finish the bodywork repairs.
Damn hate those types of dip haters
ElectricShock wth shocks here 😂😂
@@Mrprodigy7801 I love dipping
WHAT HOW R U HERE
Of course he will defend plastidip is his whole business and living lmao plastidip has its pros and cons.
@@naegleriafowleri2230 ^^^ bet he didn't watch the video and he drank the koolaid.
Man, your little inhale/sigh before showing folks peeling their vehicles had me laughing too much... great, respectful, and thoughtful vid.
I come here for the colors.
I love plastidip and I’ve never even used it 😂😂
+1
Me too! Except i use it for costumes. Plastidip is awesome for everything 😁
You are so professional, the way the you discuses this issue . That’s, why I still following you website.
Clearly he was trying to hype up his own company and whatever product they sell while trying to dissuade potential customers from dipping. It’s so sad to see people behave this way. Luckily dippers know the truth! I like how you took the high road fonzi
They sell wheels, they're logic is to just buy multiple wheels rather than just changing the color and look with plastidip.
It was a satirical video about the top 5 mods that they regretted to their vehicles. Y'all need to calm your tits.
Read the comments on the video 😂
@@solidoustopher go figure a knuckle dragging 3 percenter backing the asshole..you missed the point if that is your take away
Wow....4 years old video and as fresh as a new one. You, sir, have my sub and respect. I WILL be frequenting your pages.
"come on down and we'll train you..." 😂😅🤣 I can feel the burn here in Ft Myers!!!!!!
Paul Guerrero GAWD DAMN!!! I felt that all the up here in Va 😭😭
Enough respect to you fonzi for being a professional and a decent guy most people out there would of roasted him for a bad review, but you did it in such a way that shows you do care about your product and even more importantly your customers as obviously he was one at some point
"Plasti dipping your car is 1000 dollars"
This man must've used like 150 cans wth
🤣🤣🤣
Good job! Not everyone needs to be addressed. But this was worth it! watching the videos was super helpful to my install 👍🏽
This is like the verge's pc build. Terrible misinformation by a guy without the knowledge.
Haha so true!
Exactly what I was thinking
exactly
Hahhahha :D Remeber this right now :D hahahahahahhahah
I seen their YT Channel. He is the one with no actual knowledge about their OWN product.
Coming across this video quite a while after it was made, but wanted to give super props to you for keeping it respectful and factual. Makes me want to support your company. Thumbs up.
First of all, he says "MOD"
That says it all right there...
Peace.
Sarahs Husband here, old school auto painter certified in Glassurit Paint thru white house Ohio, watched your video to see your product application technique, I purchased a SATA Gravity feed when they first came out, learned that the spray job requires technique per the equipment, and prep is the most important part of any application, will be doing my jeep soon and wanted to commend you on you professional attitude.
Keeping it classy Fonzie, keeping it classy.
I still remember the VV fail...
Bro is TOO MATURE WTHHHH. Honestly props. That's further than the vast majority of people ever get
Ima try gather some $$$ and buy black matte color
I seen all their videos im actually a big fan bc I'm a truck guy , but you're right there's definitely a learning curve on using plastic dip i just put in a order and waiting for my kit looking forward to applying what you teach on your videos fonzi .
That hurt my soul watching him complain 🤦🏾♂️
You are 100% right I listened to the guy in volume 1. If I didn’t see your video a month later I wouldn’t of dipped my wheels! I love them now! Your videos and product is amazing!
I love the calming music montages of doing what “can’t be done” with plastidip.
I applaud you! I love my car but am not spraying my car however I am watching a whole bunch of videos before I dip small items! I really appreciated this one so much that I’m a subscriber! Thank you!!
7:38 "He literally did everything wrong" HAHAHA
Well done man! I saw this video *immediately after* doing my truck and have no regrets whatsoever in the product and how well it looks.
Damn Fonz, that was so professional the way you handled that, well done, I like your style man 😎👍
I've used plasti dip. And thanks to the videos at Dip your car, I love it. I've made my 2012 dodge charger look different all time time. Fonzie keep up the good work!
Smh!. Wow 😂 i remember your garage videos fonzz, it inspired me to dip my ride! Came out legit i followed your instructions to the t and it came out perfect!!! #dipyourcarforlife.
Just plastidipped my rear bumper and it looks MINT! Smooth and clean finish looks factory. I did 6 or 7 coats. Doing the front bumper today. Only needed 4 cans of plastidip for both bumpers. I'm a first time dip DIYER and love how easy it is to use. Just take your time with the prep clean the area really well, and you will be rewarded in the end.
I used dip before love it and done a bunch of DIY myself wish UA-cam would let us post picture comments
It's a neverending fight to debate these videos, but keep doing it. Fight the Misinformation. Just because someone won't take the time to research, take the time to prep and do all the correct steps. You teach this on your UA-cam and you are showing people how to do it correctly.
This the kind of guy that'll put together 2 pieces of wood with glue and will still have left over parts lol...
Hi
I have been watching your videos for a while and every time i get amazed by the final product and most importantly by your knowledge and generous sharing on the products and the tricks of the trade with the watcher
But today the way you have professionally handled this topic was on another level
All the best
All I know is my headliner in my Pontiac G8 had the cloth falling off so I pulled off, cleaned it up and plasti dipped in in black and man for me its killer and way cheaper than putting cloth back on it. You should make vids on how to plasti dip headliners.
I hadn't even thought of that - great idea ! I'd have thought it would be hard to do though - how did you get on with it?
love your attitude man. I watched his video and have not watched another one since. They have a lot of misinformation. keep doing what your doing
Much respect Fonzie.
Proper USE of ANY product is key to successful results!!! This video was great. Apply and operate equipment as recommended by professionals.
I can 100% agree to this. First set of wheels I dipped came out horrible... but it was my own damn fault. After researching and watching fonzies how to videos, I just dipped another set if wheels and for $50 I could not be happier with how amazing they came out.
What did you do wrong?
@@jminkvihubyb yeah I'd really like to learn from other people's mistakes than have my own!
Great job on protecting your reputation! To the point, polite, calm and rational and therefore right in all points! Have just seen the first video of your company and work. I will start soon
That dude looks like he left the hanger in his shirt and just went with it.
Fonzie, you're the man. Love how much class you have handling the conversation.
Listening to this dude talk makes me feel I can trust him with my IRA.
The most respectful way to say "screw you" that I've ever seen.
Go Go PlastiDip..mine peeled just fine and easy! new color for 2019 !
I just plastidip my 2018 Accord emblems I educated myself before doing my side fender emblems that were silver and black I coated them all black and I love the product and my car looks awesome Thankyou for making me feel like I was using a great product as I wasn’t sure till I saw your video about follow the instructions and applying correctly Great product Take care GOsborne
Haha, I love when he just looks at the camera like "Yo, I don't even have to tell you how stupid this guy is."
