      @@GhastlyCretinactually I think it’s the opposite, research shows that decreased calcium intake can lead to calcium stones, as it forces your parathyroid gland to secret more calcium which goes directly into the blood stream, and calcium in the gut (the one you eat binds to oxalate) and passes to become stool instead of going into your bloodstream and eventually becoming urine

    If you are handicapped or unable to exercise to help with your bone density get yourself one of those vibration plates called life pro and sit on the that or exercise on that or just put your feet on that and stand up the vibration there will stimulate bone growth... It has helped me with my neuropathy in my feet

    • @LotusMorning
      @LotusMorning Місяць тому +10

      Well, except Neuropathy has absolutely nothing to do with your foot bones. It's a Nerve impingement issue usually caused by tight or fitting shoes that cause bunions, hammer toes, flat feet, etc. If it did produce more bone growth then you would certainly compound the issue by increasing the deformity.

    Be careful not to overexercise yourself, because I found out first hand that it can happen. I joined the military with literally no prior training whatsoever, and I immediately transitioned from a couch potato life to running literal mini marathons everyday. As to how I managed to graduate basic training on time with hardly any problems aside from blisters remains a mystery, but when I got to tech school that's when it all went downhill. I had one of the longest tech schools so this was over a period of a few months, but I noticed it was getting harder and progressively more painful to walk, and especially run on my left leg, particularly on the lower half of the front of my leg. It got to the point where it was almost unbearable to march so I went to the doctor to get it checked out. Took some X-rays and was told that I was developing a stress fracture. It wasn't technically a full on fracture yet, but it was going to break if I kept putting constant strain on it, so I had to rest it for a few weeks. Thankfully it healed and I never had a problem with it again, but the most important part about exercising that a lot of people seem to overlook is don't overdo it and if youre suddenly going from a lazy life to the work out life, try to gradually ease yourself into it.

    • @JulieGallicchio
      @JulieGallicchio Місяць тому

      So you were unhealthy and lazy then you trained with bad form? Got it. There’s no such thing as over-exertion or over-training. You just can’t perform right and never had.

    • @setomari
      @setomari Місяць тому

      @@JulieGallicchioshut the fuck up man, over exercising is a thing for everyone. too many sets of squats and your legs will eventually rip themselves apart. running until you collapse after living a sedentary lifestyle is a great way to shred your shins. you don’t go from a potato to a triathalete even if your form is perfect. progressive overload applies to almost everything.

So I bought a peloton and started using it 3-5 times per week and the difference I felt after just one week was night and day. Another thing I’ve noticed is I don’t gain near as much weight when I’m eating poorly on a vacation or something and the weight comes off much quicker

    There are two factors that play in bone density. One diminishes bone, and one builds bone. When your bones are (literally) stimulated via electrical signals and physical resistance, they begin to thicken. This is why the power-arm of many tennis players is much thicker than their other arm, due to constant stimulus
