@@deedee1712 SI *JOINT* or sacroiliac joint. In my understanding, we're not: the SIJ barely moves whatsoever, you have real problems if you get laxity in the ligaments of the joint. You get painful sensations and stiffness in the SIJ if the femurs and pelvis aren't behaving, because it picks up the slack for the shifting and movement they're supposed to have. If I'm not mistaken, the *pops* from this sort of thing are from displacing fluid in the various joints when bones/connective tissues move to fill space. Namely, felt at the femoral-acetabular (hip) joint, not at the SIJ itself.

My husband worked for a chiro and he showed him how to do it for me, I bet it was the same technique you learned. This way is nice, but I don't think I'll do it right lol
The pop you are hearing is from cavitations the symphysis pubis :) these are good ways to translate some force through the SI. If you all want a little more, try laying on your back with one hand above one knee and the other on the back of the leg, do the same thing as the video where you push against each hand for 5 seconds and then switch the position of your hands, this is a great way to get shear force through the pelvis. You won’t hear a pop since the SI is a fibrous joint and generally does not cavitate. If you here a sound in your back, it is most likely the L5-S1 joint. I hope this helps!
I never knew what this was. I found myself randomly doing this naturally my body would flow into this. I was never taught. Now I understand why my body would have me do this. Thank you for the clarity
Our bodies always revealed to us what needs healing, and what emotions are repressed, which manifests as physical illness and disease. It has intuition that we get programmed not to listen to. Our physical bodies were not meant to last forever. Time and gravity and physical breakdown are NOT OPTIONAL. The opposite of healing is what we do from the day we are born. Stop making people feel like something is wrong with them because they can’t magically INTUIT themselves HEALED.

Holy cow. Out of all the videos I’ve seen, this is the only one that actually popped my hip. It still has minor pains but after a few times of doing this, I should be good by work on monday
“Popping” or “cracking” your back does not realign it, nor does it solve the underlying issue. You’re experiencing lower back pain because you most likely have weak glutes and/or hip flexors. Any pain relief you’re experiencing from this video’s technique is likely coming from the resistance motions rather than the supposed aligning motions. The resistance portions of this maneuver- where you’re resisting the opening and closing of your legs- are activating your glute muscles, which work to move your hips. Focus on strengthening those muscles and you will eliminate your pain for good.
It's amazing how one video can help someone so much. I've had so much pain in my back for years! After this, I can finally move a part of my back that I haven't been able to move well for years. Thank you❤

I'm here for the jokes and spinal techniques. especially the immature jokes to make me laugh. life is short and I gotta live with spinal injury for life... let's laugh a little more. it's wonderful.
Understand. The comments section used to be full of good advice. It can be frustrating feeling like the sucker that wasted my time. About 6 years ago I was in a minor accident that slightly messed up a disc. I paid attention to what the chiropractor was doing to get it pop. Knowing that the insurance coverage would eventually end, I figured out how to pop it myself.
I have some SI laxity and associated sciatica on one side that is usually fine but has been exacerbated by my exercise routine recently. I saw this and was so excited, tried it a couple times but didn’t get a pop. Was sad but thought maybe it wasn’t for me. Sat on a lower surface (edge of my bed) and out of curiosity tried the forearm portion one more time. Tiny but definitely audible click. Didn’t really feel anything but when I stood up multiple other parts of my leg clicked and decompressed so I’m really hopeful I’ll feel better tomorrow!! Thank you so much for posting this ❤
If you have a spouse you can also use them. When I lay next to my wife, sometimes one of us will put the others legs between us and squeeze. Squeeze their legs between yours and you'll get a nice pop right where your legs bones connect to your body.
Instant relief after 10 years of Right SI joint pain (right hip higher than the left). There's been no pop but a kind of a crunch from the left hip. Should we alternate the arm we place between our knees in order to work both sides? Practicing this more slowly and a holding a little longer seems to increase effectiveness. And it affects not only the SI joint but also my right knee, calf and the outside of my right foot. Amazing.Thank you, thank you!!!
I wonder if you have my problem. I have self learned ways to relieve my SI joint during my day and night but all is stemming from my loose right hip joint which causes my pelvis to be slightly off level. And yes, misalignment does translate, so for me down into a misaligned right knee, and a falling left foot arch, a kink mid back right of spine.... I also do yoga, which has solved so much for me.

Fun fact, "pops" aren't anything "snapping into place" or "resetting". They're cavitation bubbles. You're creating negative pressure inside joint space, causing dissolved nitrogen gas to come out of solution and form a bubble. Then when you release the stretch, the joint space shrinks again, and the bubble "pops". Stretching like this incidentally can also stimulate stretch receptors, which relax nearby muscles and can temporarily relieve muscle tension. That + the placebo effect makes popping strained joints feel really good. Doesn't really do anything long term though.
Well isn’t that why it’s called a reset? Relief is relief when dealing with chronic pain. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work for me at all. Still no idea how to relieve my hip pain, even if temporary

Yes, we are re-setting the pubic bone here. Sometimes when the ilium rotates on the sacrum or doesn't move well, it can offset the front attachment which makes the pubic bone. If we cannot reset it ourselves from the back side (where the SI joint) is we can also relieve it by resetting it from the front. It allows the connective tissue and the ligaments around it to relax and calm down to move better.
Amanpreat@ Hi there, extra joint mobility during pregnancy is a natural physiological fact,, due to overall hormone changes. Nothing that tends to gain mobility, and ease out hip and pelvic tension, will harm the baby, as long as it's not brutal, nore painfull. It might be a bit sore afterwards if you unlocked former unknown mobility issues, BUT all this easing out is a plus for the moment delivery is due! 😊

Damn. I was _sure_ this would not work. Followed along then put arm between legs. Squeezed. Nothing. Made slight adjustment with the placement of my hand and elbow and tried again, squeezing knees together harder...and *_POP!_* Nice!

Why are we doing this? What is the SI DRAIN?
@@deedee1712 it's the SI joint. Google it!

I have had hip/lower back issues for years. Not once has any doctor or physio mentioned this. This helped tremendeously. Thank you kindly Dr

Our bodies always revealed to us what needs healing, and what emotions are repressed, which manifests as physical illness and disease. It has intuition that we get programmed not to listen to.
Thank you so much, this is the first "hip popping" video that actually worked for me

Is it safe to do this with a replacement hip? Serious question.
The SI joint misalignment causes those other parts to be out of alignment as well
Yeah i felt something too. Like a rush of blood in the lower back after the small pop.

@@Bomber411 sacroiliac joint
Fun fact, "pops" aren't anything "snapping into place" or "resetting". They're cavitation bubbles.
You're creating negative pressure inside joint space, causing dissolved nitrogen gas to come out of solution and form a bubble. Then when you release the stretch, the joint space shrinks again, and the bubble "pops".
Stretching like this incidentally can also stimulate stretch receptors, which relax nearby muscles and can temporarily relieve muscle tension. That + the placebo effect makes popping strained joints feel really good. Doesn't really do anything long term though.

What’s happening here to cause the relief? Can you please explain the biomechanics behind what you’re recommending? Thanks a ton!
@@drchristianamarronhello mam.....i have done it accidentally in pregnancy......please tell if it will not harm the baby? thanks 🙏
@@drchristianamarron pubic bone = pubic symphysis? Also what exactly is meant by "resetting?" Is that the same thing as reducing?

Hi there, extra joint mobility during pregnancy is a natural physiological fact,, due to overall hormone changes. 😊
