Congrats on having possession of all these rare mons! I can’t even begin to imagine the headache that would come from shiny hunting (full odds or not) for so many hours on end, let alone the stress of worrying if you’re going to be able to get one of those rare trade/event mons in time before they’re gone forever. This video was a wonderful journey and, from one Pokémon fan to another, I wish you many more years of catching cool and rare mons.

There was one in the past I caught that would be a great challenge for you. You can catch shiny Kirlia at level 6 in Pokemon DP (not platinum). You will need the Pokeradar and making a chain of 40 with this one is a true shiny hunt. This Kirlia can also use teleport so you’ll need a master ball. If you can get a male shiny Kirlia, you can have a level 6 shiny Gallade.
Really loved this video, I also adore super rare pokémon and while I definitely don't have any as rare as yours it's still so cool to see them. I'm also really glad to see people actually acknowledging pokemon go as a legitimate way to have some really rare mons.

I was a hardcore collector of event Pokémon for awhile. I collected a lot of the PCny event Pokémon, toys r us and more! They’re all in my soul silver game. 200+ event Pokémon from all over the world
PCNY events are so interesting to me. A lot of them are just mundane pokemon, but they're all flagged to have "met in a fateful encounter". And they were all bundled together by some theme. idk if they could be shiny (I know the Gen 2 events had REALLY good shiny rates), but it's basically the only event Seviper I know of. I'd trade just about anything to have one.
@@pomom123 I think the ONLY one people know of is the egg Chansey solely because of the move Wish and how good Wish is with Chansey's insane HP stat. I'm trying to rack my brain thinking about what the rarest pokemon I have is.

The oldest shiny I still have is a Chansey from Heartgold. I spent half an hour looking for one on Route 14 to complete my Pokedex and the literal first one I ran into was shiny. A 1% encounter rate means the odds of that catch was 1/819,200, to say nothing of the odds of finding one on the first encounter.
I still can grasp the fact that my mom named me “chance” after the Pokémon chancey but at least I know almost every Pokémon UA-camr has said my name. Also my mom frequently calls me chansey
Damn, this was a really cool video! Not only seeing all of these rare Pokemon, but also learning about how and why they're rare, their quirks, etc. I was aware of some of the funnier ones existing, like the NInetales and the Shadow Scizor, but there plenty that I had no idea existed, or special attributes about them (i.e., the Lugia being a costumed Pokemon).

Well perfect IVs in general is so unlikely that no player has probably ever caught a normal one let alone a shiny one. Perfect IVs is a 1/1 billion chance

Just looked up to see if I had any of those ultra legacy moves in Go and I had 4! Two digletts with mud slap, a Golem with mudslap, and by far the coolest imo a 98% costume Kirlia with draining kiss. Thanks for the great vid!
Hi. Just got this in my recommendations. Just subbed. Also looked at the part of the rarest Pokémon GO moves and opened my game and yes I ONLY have one Pokémon sadly with the ultra rare moves. Kirlia with Draining Kiss. I have a like 4. One with the top hat and bow, and I EVEN have a level one Shiny Kirlia with Draining Kiss! I had no idea they was that rare!

I know they might not be much of a big deal now but I feel like as the years go by they'll become more and more rare And since it's a celebration on a date the game came out they'll NEVER release those costumes again!
That was an amazing video to see. I'm a collector, like you, one who unfortunately is not able to travel over seas in order to attend these events, but who loves collecting where I can. Shiny Chansey was the first ever shiny pokemon i encountered and caught in the wild in pokemon. It is absolutely crazy that this one is so rare and I just randomly found it in gen3 😂 it is still sitting there in one of my boxes and it will always be such a special memory to me as my first shiny.

My rarest Pokemon was a riolu that knows aura sphere. It's a shame that the game I had with it got stolen but it was a Pokemon you can only get off of a spin off game only.
Frostburn the Alolan Ninetales really strikes me. The fact that TPC purposefully went out of their way to fix those movesets is just- damn. Couldve been a really cool lore mon for those who like to make OCs out of their playthroughs.
So an update on those moves. Whatever code was replacing the moves when you connected to home is no longer active. Frostburn can keep the fire type moves. It will have its moveset change when it goes to PLA or SV but HOME now allows us to save the moves per game. When he cones back to Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield the fire moves are still there

Well, these are all far more impressive than my collection. Best I can claim are a few event distributions shinys (Jirachi, Diancie, Yveltal and Zygarde), and a shiny Blissey from S/M SOS chaining. Playing around with the Zygarde Cube let me shift it to 10% forme with Power Construct.
That Mew tho awesome the most rare pokemons are the ones caught by the people on their actual games with IDs and even shiny forms that holds meaning just great content here like to see it
I had no idea about the Ultra Legacy moves! I have a Starmie from the release day with quick attack, Pichu with quick attack, and a kirlia with draining kiss
Pokemon Bank/Home ruining moves was one of the saddest thing. Some of my best times grinding out Pokemon was getting mons with unique moves. Remember when you saw your first Wish Eevee and it was like woah. Same with shinys back then man, I hate how easy everything is now. I feel no excitement finding a shiny within the 30 minute super OP sandwiches... The Lugia is a Costume because it was basically a quick way of them creating a unique and safe Lugia at the Festival. So Lugia's Dex Number is 0249. So they shipped out a Lugia with a different ID such as 0249[01]. This lets them track and carefully place such pokemon within the accounts. And its also how they do ALL costume pokemon. The unique part being that in their haste, they didn't remove the Costume tag when they did it.
You can get that japanese mew with glitches on the virtual console. Still rare because i dont think alot of people are willing to go through all the pain that is required to obtain it.

That ninetales is something special, it’s a shame it’s stuck in gen 8 forever Wanted to share the virtual console RBY games released on the 3DS are near identical to their cartridge counterparts, right down to the glitches that could let you encounter Mew in the wild, or alter your Pokémon’s info to guarantee shinies upon transfer through Pokémon bank. I regret to inform you I ported a box full of illegally printed Mews to Alola by using those bugs to alter their ID and IVs to identically match the game freak distribution (since this would be the only Mew the Pokémon bank would allow) After hearing your heartwarming story I think I’ll leave them in gen 7…
Adding the Gen 1 mew in was a bit of a tough call because I know it’s possible to use ACE to make whatever Pokémon you want in those games. However, the story is something that I can’t deny is worth cherishing so it made its way into the video! As for Ninetales there’s actually some great news!! The recent updates to HOME made it so Pokémon save their moves per game and removed the. Ode that was replacing the movesets! So Frostburn has actually been able to travel to Hisui to battle GOD and Paldea to join me at tournaments! It’s moves in both those games are the legal learnsets but when he comes home to Galar he gets to keep all his fire type moves!
My first shiny encounter was a diglett in LeafGreen. I had no balls, was using a grounded non-ghost type and was therefore forced to KO the lil blue nosed fella
I do feel like setting up multiple systems at the same time like with the chansey is a little cheap. If you just casually mentioned it to someone that you had that 1/~500,000 chansey, they might think you were only playing 1 game while hunting it, not 16 simultaneously. Still incredible odds and stunning dedication on your your end. Taking you far above the crowd! (I know I wouldn't have the patience even with 16 games synced together)
Thanks to this video i realised that i have that exact same shiny metapod, lv4 and all, and i didn't knew it was that rare, omg, and i don't even shiny hunt, its one of my 4 full odds involuntary shinies.
my list is reletivly standard, i was not capable of getting the Fire Alolan Alolans and the Hydro Pump Drillbur. So i got ALL Gen1 legends shiny in VC, i have Shiny Celebi in VC Crystal, got matching shiny spindas and Shiny Manaphy. All i hunted myself, but the stuff in the vod are even more top tier.
I’d love to get a shiny hydro mole some day! Luckily I have friends who have the den saved so I should be able to join them some day! Congrats on the VC shiny! Also looked at the part of the rarest Pokémon GO moves and opened my game and yes I ONLY have one Pokémon sadly with the ultra rare moves. Kirlia with Draining Kiss. I have a like 4. One with the top hat and bow, and I EVEN have a level one Shiny Kirlia with Draining Kiss! I had no idea they was that rare!

Shiny Chansey was the first ever shiny pokemon i encountered and caught in the wild in pokemon. It is absolutely crazy that this one is so rare and I just randomly found it in gen3 😂 it is still sitting there in one of my boxes and it will always be such a special memory to me as my first shiny.

My rarest Pokemon was a riolu that knows aura sphere. It's a shame that the game I had with it got stolen but it was a Pokemon you can only get off of a spin off game only.

Frostburn the Alolan Ninetales really strikes me. The fact that TPC purposefully went out of their way to fix those movesets is just- damn. Couldve been a really cool lore mon for those who like to make OCs out of their playthroughs.
So an update on those moves. Whatever code was replacing the moves when you connected to home is no longer active. Frostburn can keep the fire type moves. It will have its moveset change when it goes to PLA or SV but HOME now allows us to save the moves per game. When he cones back to Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield the fire moves are still there

Well, these are all far more impressive than my collection.
Best I can claim are a few event distributions shinys (Jirachi, Diancie, Yveltal and Zygarde), and a shiny Blissey from S/M SOS chaining.
Playing around with the Zygarde Cube let me shift it to 10% forme with Power Construct.

Pokemon Bank/Home ruining moves was one of the saddest thing. Some of my best times grinding out Pokemon was getting mons with unique moves. Remember when you saw your first Wish Eevee and it was like woah. Same with shinys back then man, I hate how easy everything is now. I feel no excitement finding a shiny within the 30 minute super OP sandwiches...
The Lugia is a Costume because it was basically a quick way of them creating a unique and safe Lugia at the Festival. So Lugia's Dex Number is 0249. So they shipped out a Lugia with a different ID such as 0249[01]. This lets them track and carefully place such pokemon within the accounts. And its also how they do ALL costume pokemon. The unique part being that in their haste, they didn't remove the Costume tag when they did it.
You can get that japanese mew with glitches on the virtual console. Still rare because i dont think alot of people are willing to go through all the pain that is required to obtain it.

Wanted to share the virtual console RBY games released on the 3DS are near identical to their cartridge counterparts, right down to the glitches that could let you encounter Mew in the wild, or alter your Pokémon’s info to guarantee shinies upon transfer through Pokémon bank. I regret to inform you I ported a box full of illegally printed Mews to Alola by using those bugs to alter their ID and IVs to identically match the game freak distribution (since this would be the only Mew the Pokémon bank would allow)
After hearing your heartwarming story I think I’ll leave them in gen 7…
Adding the Gen 1 mew in was a bit of a tough call because I know it’s possible to use ACE to make whatever Pokémon you want in those games. However, the story is something that I can’t deny is worth cherishing so it made its way into the video!
As for Ninetales there’s actually some great news!! The recent updates to HOME made it so Pokémon save their moves per game and removed the. Ode that was replacing the movesets!
So Frostburn has actually been able to travel to Hisui to battle GOD and Paldea to join me at tournaments! It’s moves in both those games are the legal learnsets but when he comes home to Galar he gets to keep all his fire type moves!
My first shiny encounter was a diglett in LeafGreen. I had no balls, was using a grounded non-ghost type and was therefore forced to KO the lil blue nosed fella

I do feel like setting up multiple systems at the same time like with the chansey is a little cheap. If you just casually mentioned it to someone that you had that 1/~500,000 chansey, they might think you were only playing 1 game while hunting it, not 16 simultaneously.

my list is reletivly standard, i was not capable of getting the Fire Alolan Alolans and the Hydro Pump Drillbur. So i got ALL Gen1 legends shiny in VC, i have Shiny Celebi in VC Crystal, got matching shiny spindas and Shiny Manaphy. All i hunted myself, but the stuff in the vod are even more top tier.
I’d love to get a shiny hydro mole some day! Luckily I have friends who have the den saved so I should be able to join them some day!
