I have this sinking feeling that I've seen one in the wild too, but because the area had high level pokemon I didn't want to encounter it & just thought it was one of the different colors it had and not a shiny I hope I'm wrong and misremembering, but god, imagine

I spent a couple sandwiches hunting roaring moon, and found zweilous, gible and sneasel before roaring moon finally appeared. What was really great about this is that It was on my birthday, and this shiny roaring moon had the birthday mark. Definitely the rarest pokemon I own in scarlet.
Shiny Dratini is pretty hard to find in Violet. It’s the same problem Roaring Moon has where if you use a sandwich for dragon Pokémon, Dreepy and Drakloak will spawn with the Dratini in a pool that only Dratini spawn in, in Scarlet.
Ironically, I was only looking for a shiny Dreepy in an outbreak but instead of that, I found a shiny Dratini just lurking around in the water. I freaked out hard and after a little while of calming down when it went underwater, I managed to catch it.

I killed the first shiny roaring moon in the most sad way I sent in my Gardevoir and chipped the roaring moon with a few attacks until it was in the red then it hit me with flamethrower and it burned me and my Gardevoirs synchronize kicked in killing the roaring moon
I randomly got 1 my first time in the cave, then used a sandwich to get another. I also found a shiny Gabite while hunting the second one. To make up for that good luck I then spent a few hours trying to get a Flutter Mane. Shiny hunting is so much more fun in these newer games!!
I got really lucky today. I saw a Varoom zooming around like they do. I thought might as well catch it as I haven’t yet. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be shiny.
I had something similar there was a outbreak of them and without even killing a single one no shiny charm no sandwich like just arrived to the outbreak there was a shiny just sitting there I want to say it was full of odds and to be honest I do say that but I'm not certain as it was an outbreak but like I just arrived didn't kill any and it was there
After watching this video, later today I found a Tatsugiri that looked different and I remembered the shiny forms from this video. I screamed so loud when I caught my first shiny in Violet. I love my shiny droopy Tatsugiri. The full white is so cute

Btw i think if the sinistea was super small it would be rarer because it would be even harder to notice the antiec form and shiny. So i think that is the rarest
Somehow, I managed to randomly stumble upon a white Tatsugiri. What’s funny is that moments before, I quite literally was telling my friend that if I were to ever encounter a shiny Tatsugiri in the wild, I probably wouldn’t even notice it because their shiny forms look so similar, lololol. Imagine my surprise when I had to stop and turn back around when I saw that bright white little dude just chilling there. Even I couldn’t miss him! :D
I remember I wanted to mark hunt Tatsugiri, but they kept using Memento. So I went to get a Sinistea to evolve it into Polteageist because it learns imprison and memento. So I caught one, went to the Socarrat Trail to get the Cracked Pot, went to evolve it and... it didn't work. The one Sinistea, the very first one I caught, was authentic.
The fact that Roaring Moon has a nasty tendency to just start flying and never come down makes the hunt even harder. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to see a shiny one take off right as you spot it and then just hover out of reach forever
I found a white Tatsuguri randomly and almost ran past it, realized what it was, went into it without saving, used a quick ball that it decided to break out of, it used memento and killed itself. RIP😂😭
@Professor Rex my buddy was next to me when it happened and I didn't even know what memento did at the time so it was a learning experience. Noivern with Taunt did the trick though😆👍
9:13 I caught my shiny Blaze Tauros today. First, I tried the fighting sandwich, which spawned a whole lotta regular ones. Then, switched to the fire sandwich, which only spawned groups of Tauros with the elemental variant in them. Took me 3 overall resets for it to appear. I love this subtle shiny, partly due to it being fighting type. I named him ‘96 Chicago, after the Chicago Bulls winning the championship in ‘96. Great hunt that requires some paying attention. Well worth it.
Found a Random Shiny Droopy Tatsugiri today, caught in a Premier Ball Also you don’t need to use a Master Ball, the summary says what level a Pokémon was caught and where it was caught or if it hatched from an egg
It’s true, I just like to look ahead to moving through home to new gens. The caught location can be lost and the level obtained is updated. So the Paldea origin mark, balls, and marks are pretty much all we get
@Chaosstripe they either get the pokeball of the mother if you're breeding two different species iirc, either mother or father if breeding the same, or just whatever ball your target pokemon is in if breeding it with ditto ! (I always breed with ditto so sorry if I got the first part mixed around) unless you breed something caught in a masterball, then the offspring Do get put in regular pokeballs edit: it's also why apricorn ball pokemon are so sought after on the GTS! so people can breed their own

I caught a shiny Goomy in a raid last week. I kept looking at it the whole time I was fighting it, thinking that I was crazy because I’m never that lucky. But I caught it and flipped out when I checked it’s summary and seen the shiny symbol
I have a shiny Roaring Moon, named it Eclipse. It’s my pride and joy, was trying to get it for nearly a full week and got 5 (FIVE!!) shiny Sneasel in the process, then a sparkling dragon sandwich netted me 6 shinies: Flutter Mane. 2 Greavard, 2 Zwellous, and the Roaring Moon with about 20 seconds to spare on the bonus. I was so happy.
I never planned on trying for a shiny Authentic Sinistea, just any shiny Sinistea as I find it cute. But wow I had no idea you could only find authentic in one area. That's crazy. Especially if boosted spawns don't give us authentic ones.

My brother actually told me that Sinistea was the rarest shiny ever because at the current moment I only have Shield and I'm trying to save money to buy Violet. With my Pokémon life I've always been so unlucky with shinies but apparently one day while I was playing Moon I was having a very lucky day I was walking around the abandoned super market and I found a shiny Haunter and my brother was like "Well how do you know it's shiny?" And being the young 9 year old I was I told him it has a purple tongue. We traded it together and I got a shiny Gengar. I've always been for trying to find shinies and of course with hacked Pokémon I haven't been super thrilled. But this was definitely interesting to learn about.
Gamefreak must have fixed the outbreak glitch. I stumbled upon a shiny authentic Sinistea when hopping over to an outbreak of them to use the remaining time on my Ghost encounter/sparkling sandwich after a successful Litwick shiny hunt (was testing out the shiny charm after just completing my pokedex).
Eevee is actually pretty damn hard to find in this game too. I've managed to get an outbreak eventually but I had to change the date for so long to get it. I lost count but it was at least half a year or more near the Normal type gym town.

Came across my first shiny in Violet totally by accident yesterday. I was in the middle of EV training when I saw a Gabite that looked a little bit different. I ran into it and sure enough, there was the sparkle animation. I ran because I didn't want to mess up my EV training and all the Pokemon on my team were level 100 and would have made it faint... thank goodness it was still there after switching my mons around lol.

White Tatsugiri was the first shiny I ever found in Violet (was completely random, didn’t even have shiny charm yet). I got so excited that I fell down the stairs in my house.
My luckiest experience in this game is the random female Shiny Salandit I encountered while playing a Monotype Grass run. No Sandwich, no Shiny Charm, just pure luck. :)
Another funny thing is that i spent 3 hours with no luck trying to get a shiny curly tatsugiri on an outbreak. I got tired and fast traveled to another location. As i spawned i got a shiny white tatsugiri right on the spot. I never got the shiny curly one, so, rng apparently targets the things you are not looking for
I have a shiny roaring moon that I caught in violet while playing multiplayer. Being able to get the opposite version exclusive shinies with your OT is super cool.
bro I got so lucky with combee before. I was finishing up my living dex and catching alternate forms, one of which was female combee so I went to a combee outbreak and a random shiny female flew passed me. It was great. I was only there for like 5 minutes.
I have three shiny Pokemon so far! Oinkologne, Hoppip, and Corvisquire. I really want to hunt for more shiny Hoppip so that I can surprise trade them out. Hoppip is really cute!
I am surprised that shiny rockruff with own tempo didn't make your list since I don't know the odds of finding a rockruff with own tempo as it's a special ability that you can't get using ability patch or ability capsule!
I just caught a shiny Zoroark in a completely random wild encounter! It was disguised as a Sudowoodo and at first I was annoyed that I ran into it because I was on my way to do a raid or something. I didn’t realize how rare it was until I looked it up. Can’t believe I got so lucky

Are all wild tera Pokémon in the wild (not raid dens) fixed encounters? Or are there also random ones? Or do I just reset hunt the fixed tera Pokémon that always spawn every day in the same location?
I hadn't seen a Kingambit before, and I decided to do a raid because I needed it for my pokedex. I noticed my raid Kingambit was blue, but I didn't think anything of it until after I caught it and saw the shiny badge! I think I put the raid online as well, which means I think my raid accidentally gave three other people a shiny Kingambit (if that's how that works). I've gotten six or seven shinies so far with full odds (I could complete the pokedex and get the shiny charm, but at this point, I'm letting the shiny charm go) and still haven't tried sandwiches yet, which is absolutely crazy to me because I literally have never gotten a natural shiny Pokemon (not including the raid glitches from Sw/Sh) until this game.
The rarest shiny is actually a max size shiny applin because you can only find it on trees and the apple doesn't change size from/on a tree. The sandwich does affect the pokemon in trees. The only way You can get them by breeding it if your extremely lucky.
You could have gotten through a lot of that time you dedicated to running around when your lv3 sandwich was active by overworld koing the non shinies. You mentioned doing that but it can be so much faster than loading picnicks or leaving the area each time to force a respawn.
I have shiny roaring moon, shiny ditto (masuda) and 2 shiny hisuian and regular zoroarks. I made a second profile to do a masuda ditto and I chose german for some reason, it took me like 35 hours and the hisuians took me almost 200 eggs combined. Roaring moon took me 3 days and I have shiny of all paldean starters from breeding .
I managed to find a shiny Roaring Moon with a Dragon Encounter 2 sandwich. I got lucky. Took my two sandwiches and a shiny Zweilous, but it took my 5 minutes into the second sandwich and thank god I was paying attention. It was nestled up cozy under the ground with its wings poking out
Found a shiny sinistea because I was looking for lapras outbreaks in indigo disk, then curious I switched to Paldea map, saw a question mark, got confused since I caught every pokemon, turns out I found a Antique Sinistea outbreak and for the next 3 hours I grinded to find a shiny A-sinistea, watched over 5+ videos and found it and won. Reminder, I found it as a outbreak ON A WHIM. I still got shiny lapras tho :)
My friend caught a shiny authentic rare marked sinistea! This is so rare that most likely no one in the world will find another. I don't know if it is hacked but it is still cool.
I got my shiny Ditto im soo hype especially after never getting one in lets go pikachu and this has to be by far the hardest hunt ive done yea I think this is probably my favorite shiny as well!
So, in my first-ever run, I had saved in front of a (non-shiny) Tropius, in case it knew Whirlwind (it did), so that I could keep trying until I got it. When I restarted, the Tropius was gone. Does the restarting only work with Shiny Pokemon?
You can shiny hunt blaze/aqua tauros easier if you use water/fire sanswiches instead of fighting. I couldnt find even normal ones for the longest time until I switched sandwich types, and was then drowning in them without an outbreak even.
@@ProfessorRex indeed, but there are some like myself, who tried to use fighting type sandwiches to try and find them, and managed to change that when switching. Only wanted to clarify to help others not make my past mistake lol
I was able to snag me a shiny roaring moon, but deff was not easy, Ran into shiny Houndstone first and then at about 5 mins left for my samdwhich he popped up! I went Dark encounter , shiny and dark title power 3. I honestly was in disbelief but also very happyy
Heya! Just an update! I just went to an outbreak of red/pink Tatsugiri and, sure enough, it was the red/pink ones, and I got the white Tatsugiri out of it. Made my night, tbh. :) So, that issue /might/ have gotten patched. >.>
It did. Teal Mask added in an update to the outbreaks so that the form shown on the map is the form the outbreak is for. That means for Tatsugiri, Basculin, Floette, Blaze and Aqua Breed Tauros, Sinistea, the newest pokemon Poltchageist, as well as I believe a very specific Rockruff are now available in outbreaks. Also just want to say that his method for 'affirming' the rarity with using a one-per-savefile ball or having to get EVEN LUCKIER by having the shiny have a capture mark is... completely idiotic as neither are feasible to do consistently as you'd likely need to hack in enough Masterballs(or know someone that can gen you a bunch) for that method to be repeatable and for the marks their rarity span between 2% for the weather and time marks, 1% for the personality marks, and 0.1% for the Rare Mark so you'd need a massive amount of luck to get a shiny with even the most common of marks. So yeah I'd say don't worry about this rarity affirming stuff, it's just not good long-term

Mine was found in the air, a quick lockon with ZL followed by throwing a PokeBall at it with ZR works just fine

@Chaosstripe they either get the pokeball of the mother if you're breeding two different species iirc, either mother or father if breeding the same, or just whatever ball your target pokemon is in if breeding it with ditto ! (I always breed with ditto so sorry if I got the first part mixed around)
unless you breed something caught in a masterball, then the offspring Do get put in regular pokeballs
edit: it's also why apricorn ball pokemon are so sought after on the GTS! so people can breed their own

I was lucky enough to find two shiny Roaring Moon in a single hunt. Was hoping for a shiny Zweilous after I got my first Roaring Moon, but I was pretty happy with a second.
I caught a shiny Goomy in a raid last week. I kept looking at it the whole time I was fighting it, thinking that I was crazy because I’m never that lucky. But I caught it and flipped out when I checked it’s summary and seen the shiny symbol

I have a shiny Roaring Moon, named it Eclipse.
It’s my pride and joy, was trying to get it for nearly a full week and got 5 (FIVE!!) shiny Sneasel in the process, then a sparkling dragon sandwich netted me 6 shinies: Flutter Mane. 2 Greavard, 2 Zwellous, and the Roaring Moon with about 20 seconds to spare on the bonus. I was so happy.

Found a full-odd shiny Vespiquen when I was doing outbreaks for Eiscue near the Fairy team Star base, still to this day, my rarest shiny.
Can confirm with the new update all forms of Tastugiri can appear in an outbreak, I got the red/white one thankfully

I never planned on trying for a shiny Authentic Sinistea, just any shiny Sinistea as I find it cute. But wow I had no idea you could only find authentic in one area. That's crazy. Especially if boosted spawns don't give us authentic ones.

The difference is that Snorunt has a 50/50 gender ratio as opposed to the 12.5% female rate of the Salandit and Combee
My brother actually told me that Sinistea was the rarest shiny ever because at the current moment I only have Shield and I'm trying to save money to buy Violet. With my Pokémon life I've always been so unlucky with shinies but apparently one day while I was playing Moon I was having a very lucky day I was walking around the abandoned super market and I found a shiny Haunter and my brother was like "Well how do you know it's shiny?" And being the young 9 year old I was I told him it has a purple tongue. We traded it together and I got a shiny Gengar. I've always been for trying to find shinies and of course with hacked Pokémon I haven't been super thrilled. But this was definitely interesting to learn about.
One of my favorite shinies is a baxcalibur that I caught from a raid, that was awesome!
Also a beast of a Pokemon! Thermal Exchange is massive for avoiding will o wisp

Gamefreak must have fixed the outbreak glitch. I stumbled upon a shiny authentic Sinistea when hopping over to an outbreak of them to use the remaining time on my Ghost encounter/sparkling sandwich after a successful Litwick shiny hunt (was testing out the shiny charm after just completing my pokedex).

I found a white tatsugiri 3 MINUTES into my hunt. I started to jump out of my seat and ran towards it happily. It’s my favourite form.
Eevee is actually pretty damn hard to find in this game too. I've managed to get an outbreak eventually but I had to change the date for so long to get it. I lost count but it was at least half a year or more near the Normal type gym town.
Please know damn is a curse word
I have all the shiny eeveelutions plus eevee in shiny form, and it only took a bit over a week. But yeah, those were 7 hour days ;-;

The outbreak default for glitch has been fixed as of the first DLC drop (now the Pokémon will actually be of the form shown on the map)

Came across my first shiny in Violet totally by accident yesterday. I was in the middle of EV training when I saw a Gabite that looked a little bit different. I ran into it and sure enough, there was the sparkle animation. I ran because I didn't want to mess up my EV training and all the Pokemon on my team were level 100 and would have made it faint... thank goodness it was still there after switching my mons around lol.

White Tatsugiri was the first shiny I ever found in Violet (was completely random, didn’t even have shiny charm yet). I got so excited that I fell down the stairs in my house.
That took an unexpected turn
My luckiest experience in this game is the random female Shiny Salandit I encountered while playing a Monotype Grass run. No Sandwich, no Shiny Charm, just pure luck. :)
Another funny thing is that i spent 3 hours with no luck trying to get a shiny curly tatsugiri on an outbreak. I got tired and fast traveled to another location. As i spawned i got a shiny white tatsugiri right on the spot. I never got the shiny curly one, so, rng apparently targets the things you are not looking for

I have a shiny roaring moon that I caught in violet while playing multiplayer. Being able to get the opposite version exclusive shinies with your OT is super cool.
The most common place I’ve found authentic Sinistea is at the ruins just east of Alfornada, hopefully this helps
I just realized that I caught the grey tatsugini shiny. It wan with out any sandwich outbrake nor shiny charm. 😅
bro I got so lucky with combee before. I was finishing up my living dex and catching alternate forms, one of which was female combee so I went to a combee outbreak and a random shiny female flew passed me. It was great. I was only there for like 5 minutes.

I have three shiny Pokemon so far! Oinkologne, Hoppip, and Corvisquire. I really want to hunt for more shiny Hoppip so that I can surprise trade them out. Hoppip is really cute!
I am surprised that shiny rockruff with own tempo didn't make your list since I don't know the odds of finding a rockruff with own tempo as it's a special ability that you can't get using ability patch or ability capsule!
I did find a random shiny orange floette, almost ignored it because of how subtle the difference is. (thankfully caught her)
You don't have to change your clock for the outbreaks. You can cycle thru them by soft resetting when you start up your game for the first time a day
I don’t think rebooting the whole game would be much faster. The game takes so long to turn on
@ProfessorRex maybe not but it does save you the seconds you'd waste to change the date. So technically speaking it would be faster in the long run.
I have an orange Floette! Accidentaly ran into her whilst hunting something completely different. Also got a Zorua and Ditto which I'm proud of.

I remember when i caught both a shiny female slandit and an authentic senistea on my second encounter in the same day.
I just caught a shiny Zoroark in a completely random wild encounter! It was disguised as a Sudowoodo and at first I was annoyed that I ran into it because I was on my way to do a raid or something. I didn’t realize how rare it was until I looked it up. Can’t believe I got so lucky
Roaring moon took me a solid 6 hours spread across three days to get 😭😭 I named mine Guillotine! The hunt was definitely worth it!
I felt like I found something rare starting up Violet just to find a shiny Rookidee full odds, let alone people finding out the specifics for every Pokemon on this list.

I found a shiny applin during a Tera raid, it was pretty early in the game, it was my third or fourth time doing a Tera raid, he is now my most prized shiny
Found a shiny tatsugiri while trying to find a shiny drakloak in a mass outbreak. 10 minutes later, I found the shiny Drakloak too! (This was without a sandwich by the way)

Are all wild tera Pokémon in the wild (not raid dens) fixed encounters? Or are there also random ones? Or do I just reset hunt the fixed tera Pokémon that always spawn every day in the same location?
I hadn't seen a Kingambit before, and I decided to do a raid because I needed it for my pokedex. I noticed my raid Kingambit was blue, but I didn't think anything of it until after I caught it and saw the shiny badge! I think I put the raid online as well, which means I think my raid accidentally gave three other people a shiny Kingambit (if that's how that works). I've gotten six or seven shinies so far with full odds (I could complete the pokedex and get the shiny charm, but at this point, I'm letting the shiny charm go) and still haven't tried sandwiches yet, which is absolutely crazy to me because I literally have never gotten a natural shiny Pokemon (not including the raid glitches from Sw/Sh) until this game.
Tatsugiri was my first shiny. It was randomly on the side of a cliff just chilling out xD

The rarest shiny is actually a max size shiny applin because you can only find it on trees and the apple doesn't change size from/on a tree. The sandwich does affect the pokemon in trees. The only way You can get them by breeding it if your extremely lucky.
Applin actually does have a stationary ground spawn

You could have gotten through a lot of that time you dedicated to running around when your lv3 sandwich was active by overworld koing the non shinies. You mentioned doing that but it can be so much faster than loading picnicks or leaving the area each time to force a respawn.
I was ko-ing them. But you also have to remember I was checking under each cup to see if it was authentic
I have shiny roaring moon, shiny ditto (masuda) and 2 shiny hisuian and regular zoroarks. I made a second profile to do a masuda ditto and I chose german for some reason, it took me like 35 hours and the hisuians took me almost 200 eggs combined. Roaring moon took me 3 days and I have shiny of all paldean starters from breeding .
I found a full odds poison tera type shiny kirlia and he is my precious child. Evolved him into a gallade and named him Gawain :’)
I managed to find a shiny Roaring Moon with a Dragon Encounter 2 sandwich. I got lucky. Took my two sandwiches and a shiny Zweilous, but it took my 5 minutes into the second sandwich and thank god I was paying attention. It was nestled up cozy under the ground with its wings poking out

Found a shiny sinistea because I was looking for lapras outbreaks in indigo disk, then curious I switched to Paldea map, saw a question mark, got confused since I caught every pokemon, turns out I found a Antique Sinistea outbreak and for the next 3 hours I grinded to find a shiny A-sinistea, watched over 5+ videos and found it and won.
Reminder, I found it as a outbreak ON A WHIM.

My friend caught a shiny authentic rare marked sinistea! This is so rare that most likely no one in the world will find another. I don't know if it is hacked but it is still cool.

So, in my first-ever run, I had saved in front of a (non-shiny) Tropius, in case it knew Whirlwind (it did), so that I could keep trying until I got it. When I restarted, the Tropius was gone. Does the restarting only work with Shiny Pokemon?

You can shiny hunt blaze/aqua tauros easier if you use water/fire sanswiches instead of fighting. I couldnt find even normal ones for the longest time until I switched sandwich types, and was then drowning in them without an outbreak even.
Even with the fire or water sandwiches they spawn in groups though. The clip in this video had a fire sad wich on
@@ProfessorRex indeed, but there are some like myself, who tried to use fighting type sandwiches to try and find them, and managed to change that when switching. Only wanted to clarify to help others not make my past mistake lol
I was able to snag me a shiny roaring moon, but deff was not easy, Ran into shiny Houndstone first and then at about 5 mins left for my samdwhich he popped up! I went Dark encounter , shiny and dark title power 3. I honestly was in disbelief but also very happyy
Heya! Just an update! I just went to an outbreak of red/pink Tatsugiri and, sure enough, it was the red/pink ones, and I got the white Tatsugiri out of it. Made my night, tbh. :)
So, that issue /might/ have gotten patched. >.>
It did. Teal Mask added in an update to the outbreaks so that the form shown on the map is the form the outbreak is for. That means for Tatsugiri, Basculin, Floette, Blaze and Aqua Breed Tauros, Sinistea, the newest pokemon Poltchageist, as well as I believe a very specific Rockruff are now available in outbreaks.
Also just want to say that his method for 'affirming' the rarity with using a one-per-savefile ball or having to get EVEN LUCKIER by having the shiny have a capture mark is... completely idiotic as neither are feasible to do consistently as you'd likely need to hack in enough Masterballs(or know someone that can gen you a bunch) for that method to be repeatable and for the marks their rarity span between 2% for the weather and time marks, 1% for the personality marks, and 0.1% for the Rare Mark so you'd need a massive amount of luck to get a shiny with even the most common of marks. So yeah I'd say don't worry about this rarity affirming stuff, it's just not good long-term

I actually got a shiny roaring moon when i was farming chanseys for xp, i already had the shiny charm, so that helped
