Haha, I relate to the comparison with GOT and HOTD. But, have you watched Legend of Galactic Heroes? The anime comes primarily from a novel that was turned into a manga... Well, I feel that is foot on foot with Naoki Urasawa's Monster in terms of how it manages a bunch of well developed characters. Also, the author GOT and HOTD kinda criticizes Tolkien in an UA-cam video about how the explanations about kingdoms, administration and politics in LOTR feels shallow... Well, I believe he should have watched Legend of Galactic Heroes (and Urasawa's works as well rsssssssss).
