Man, Takeshi Obata single handedly made my love for art skyrocket alongside Sui Ishida. Watched Death Note 7 times till L arc and damn it never gets old, just hits with such power. Neat analysis man, keep up the great work.
Both Takeshi Obata and Sui Ishida are my heroes!! I aspire to have their talent. It doesn’t help that whenever I try to restart an art style, I end up referring to my usual art style. I think I just need more willpower and self discipline and maybe I’ll be able to make it. You know what? Thanks for writing this comment I now have more motivation!
Thank you so much for all of your Artist Analysis videos! I'm so glad to be able to learn more about my favorite artists and am thankful for you taking the time to put these together in such high quality. Best wishes to you, thanks again.

4:08 I'm like you lmao, Idk how to make clean lines, and this is a great piece of advice. but Obata, Horikoshi, Inoue, and Murata inspire me to be better.
I think it's like this Big chunk of hair >> add variations of smaller strands >>> possibly don't use the same size of strand next to each other (ua-cam.com/video/y5ljO5o8zz8/v-deo.html a good tutorial)
the color theory is insane

You should try to analyze shoujo mangaka like Io Sakisaka and Keiko Suenobu.
I’ll definitely add them to the list! Shoujo mangaka will definitely be a nice perspective to look at. ☺️

3:30 is so familiar that it's so bad, I'd say even worse than Miraí Nikki, so I thought the joke was surgical.
