I reversed my pre-diabetes diagnosis is just three months, I went from 6.0 to 5.5. I just had to change my diet - I ate lots of whole grain rice, whole grain bread, eggs, fish and for a snack (peanuts) I cut out all the take-out food, cookies, coffee, juice and drank lots of water. And don't forget to exercise

Missluna, did you reverse your pre-diabetes?
I recently had a blood test in India for employment in the gulf. The results showed the issue of liver. Some enzyme problem (SGPT 131 U/L) so I went to my doctor. He prescribed me medicines for the liver which will get normal in a week but he just spoke to me on that sugar level which was showing in the report so he said this is like a pre-diabetic, but take care about it, so as he mentioned that they didn’t highlight anything about my sugar level, but he suggested that just take care about it.
I had gone for the blood test empty stomach in the morning so the result was 108 where it shows the normal range should be 60-100mg/dl
I’m always exercising, no alcohol, but I guess these few days I’ve been having a lot of sweets, icecreams and all and never imagined I’ll have this problem. I’m very conscious about my health and I just want to reverse it and get normal. The sugar level and also my liver treatment which is in process.
These are great tips. I've been following Keto and I.F. experts for several years now, and they ALL agree with these tips. Recently found out I'm prediabetic and have already lost several pounds following these and other tips. 😃

Is Avocado oil considered a seed oil? I avoid all other oils which you mentioned e.g. Canola, Corn oil etc. Please advice.
I just found out I’m pre-diabetic yesterday and I’m at 6.3 my doctor gave me 3 months to work on it and if I come back after bloodwork and it goes to 6.7 she said she will have to put me on medication. Thanks so much for this video it’s really helpful ❤️
I am pre-diabetic with an A1C of 57 and glucose of 84 during my most recent physical.
I am also pre-diabetic borderline diabetic. A1c 6.4-6.5. Its been that way for some time. I'm not over weight, 155lbs. Relatively active. I stay away from any food with added sugar and likely will need to cut out more carbs. I still feel I need a reasonable amout of carbs just to maintain my weight. This is also my Healthcare providers position. Maybe more intensive excercise program is beneficial.
@drmorgannolte Raw ACV burns my throat. Is it okay to dilute it 1:1 with water?
You suggested sequencing protein and then fat. What should one include in fats ?

Probably a dumb question but is mint gum OK? Yes or no? I've always had a sweet tooth. Last I got in top shape like a decade ago it helped alot.
I am pre-diabetic. A1C 6.2, blood glucose 100. I am 71 years old. I get sufficient exercise, for example, about 7 hours of bicycling per week. I had a bad diet Pepsi addiction for decades, but I am not eating or drinking artificially sweetened things - that I know of. I do have a sweet tooth. The doctor has me on Metformin.
1) What can be learned from a Continuous Glucose Monitor with respect to any further lifestyle changes that I make?
2) What works to overcome a sweet tooth?
3) What priorities to reduce? Ice Cream, chocolate candy, pasta?
I am considering the course you offer. I have an ex-coworker with diabetes. He is managing it well and taking it very seriously. He tells me to do whatever it takes to keep from Diabetes.
I would suggest replacing the sweets you noted with fruits and berries (natural whole food “sweets”). At least then you will be getting the fiber and nutrients from them as well.
Then, you can focus on limiting the higher fructose fruits.
The more you limit/eliminate sweets, the less you will crave them.
And congrats on eliminating the sodas. If you find that you are still consuming sweetened drinks, consider making infused water. Add things like cucumber, mint, berries, lemon slices, etc. to a jug if water to keep in your fridge for something more interesting than plain water to drink.
Drink sparkling water and you can add lemon .
Those little liquid add in like stur are great.
However, I think there is still made with Stevia extract or even milk fruit can’t remember but it’s a good way to start weaning off of sugary, diet, hopes, and stuff. Because you still get that fizz.
My addiction was the fizz

I have an A1c of 6.6 i am 54 and 57 kilo before i was 66 kilo what can i do to let my A1c drop❤
So eating only 3 times a day is ideal. I have been having 300-500 calories att hrse 3 meals but it is all plant based and meat or dairy for protein. Ia this okay? No snack between those 3 meals
My a1c is 5.7 and I need to lower it
Do you eat eggs with the yok or without the yoke
Im 155lb what will help my pre diabetic status. I try to monitor my carb and sugar intake and exercise 3to 4 days a week . Why is losing weight always prompted. I take supplements and i intermittent fast, take fiber regular and try to get rest mostly 5 to 6.5 hrs of sleep
Excellent tips. I subscribed. i do graze between meals (3) but they are all leafy greens low glycemic. is this bad?
Nope, likely not. Thanks for subscribing! What I'd encourage you to do is look to the reason behind the grazing...lack of protein? Emotional eating? And work your way backwards from there to start incorporating the greens into your meals instead of snacking.
You talk about apple cider.,. can I take apple vinger vitamin instead?
Is there a good bread replacement? Ex. Lentil based bread?
Interesting that I live in a state in Mexico that produces the most guavas - if I'm not mistaken - in the world; and they have less "net" carbs than do blueberries (9g per 100g) ... I wonder if folks might be able to add them. They are oz for oz within 85% of potassium, and more of all the other (Ca, Vit. C, &c.) than even the great avocado, which is my favourite fruit.

Thanks for your comment. I was recently diagnosed as Prediabetic and I'm doing all I can to reverse it. Your comment reminds me that I could be in the same position. I'm determined to reverse this, I have to be just as determined to not go back once I do reverse it! I've never done any type of drugs and never had any desire to but I tell ya, I never knew that a person can become addicted to sugar. I wouldn't want to offend anyone who has been addicted to drugs by comparing my being addicted to sugar, I can imagine that being addicted to drugs is far harder for the person and their family but man oh man, I am having a taste of being addicted to something (sugar) and it's no joke. Even with learning the huge risk of becoming a full blown diabetic if I keep the sugar addiction up, I still kept it up. I'm doing good now though and have to keep it up. No sugar, along with all the other stuff that is not good for diabetes.
Get back in the game! You can do it!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I have a question. so you managed to stay healthy for 10 years without reversing? how are you? how did you do that? my mother is 65 and she is diagnosed with pre diabetes 10 days ago. I am scared and worried sick.
how do you eat if you don't eat meat or dairy?
Can I use manuka honey to replace sugar thank you
There are more micronutrients in this but it's just another form of sugar and will likely cause a very similar blood glucose and insulin response as sugar. We suggest stevia or monk fruit instead of sugar when possible.
Sound is not very loud and difficult to hear - Thank You!
Darn...I even tried turning it up 2x in processing, sorry about that!
@@drmorgannolte you seem to be naturally soft spoken
I think it's your microphone. You are too far away from it. It's very hard to hear you.
I have no issues with the sound.
I can hear good maybe it’s your device ?
im recently diagnosed prediabetic 6.1 a1c normal bodyweight and lost 10 pounds very quickly by just cutting out table sugar and using stevia instead. my question is instead of eating full portions of snacks can i just eat 8 french fries, or 3 or 4 potato chips or a mini can of diet pepsi a day? this is such a tiny amount and i dont want to completely eliminate stuff i like.
Thanks for watching and for your question! We are supporters of habit changes that fit your lifestyle and routine and don't typically recommend totally eliminating anything if you don't feel it's sustainable for you long term. We recommend eating mostly whole foods and saving some of the snacks you mentioned for special occasions or in moderation. Smaller portions are better but will still cause a larger insulin spike than other macronutrients like protein or fat. Don’t forget to subscribe to this channel for more health tips: ua-cam.com/channels/ByB8-b3CnXYuuWWyJ_vgzA.html
@@drmorgannolte a little update: i was able to lower my a1c from 6.1 to 5.6 in just a few months by cutting down a lot on sugar and white bread. for one example when i order a burger i throw away the bottom half of the bun and i now drink diet soda. i now lost over 20 pounds, from 150 to under 130 pounds. i used to put a ton of brown sugar every morning in my oatmeal for years, i now only add blueberries instead. i think that made the biggest difference.
Cutting carbs is always helpful. I have found eating high carb foods after a healthy meal or right before physical activity really helps.
I joined the predaibetic group .... I want to get out of it
What about sorghum because this is a staple food in Africa? It's a whole food
Can my doctor makes me sick?😢I feel something he did wrong ?plz answer
Hello Morgan, very good video. Good content. Just one important comment…..please do not refer to yourself as “Doctor Morgan Nolte”, a geriatric physical therapist. You are not a medical physician. More accurately, you can say that you are Morgan Nolte and hold a doctorate in physical therapy, specializing in geriatric physical therapy”. Medical doctors went to medical school, did 3-7 years of residency training after medical school, may have then completed a 1-3 year subspecialty fellowship, and then passed rigorous board exams. The public equates doctor to medical doctor, not a professional holding a doctorate degree in their specialty. No offense intended, just saying it’s best to properly use the title doctor as perceived by the public. Thank you.

How much fat per meal and what meal
When you say 1.5 grams of protein, are we talking net "protein" or we talking weight? So if my total is 150g of protein, is that 150g of chicken breast, or 150g protein from 600grams of chicken breast?
Thanks for watching and great question! The protein content will vary by food. For example, 4 ounces of chicken has about 35 grams of protein, while 4 ounces of salmon has about 25 grams of protein. In your example, 150 grams of chicken breast has about 46 grams of protein, while 600 grams of chicken breast has 185 grams of protein. We usually use the Carb Manager app to identify the macronutrients of foods. My husband eats dates after his dinner. It’s his way of dealing with a sugar craving. Is it okay? How many is too many? (He’s pre diabetic).
If he can have a tablespoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar diluted in water before dinner, that would likely help reduce the blood sugar rise from the dates. The less the better from a blood sugar standpoint. There are other things that may satisfy he sweet tooth that are lower in sugar. My favorite are these chocolate peanut butter bites: www.zivli.com/blog/low-carb-sweets

Hi I Ate white a lot of white potato's and had veggie burger late night and 7:30 and my blood sugar was 102 it that bad ?
Thanks
I often refer to what Levels Health recommends for optimal post-meal glucose response. They recommend optimal is 110-115 at any point after a meal. However the standard recommendation is less than 140 2 hours after eating, so I'd say yours was good.
Hi does having a cold or taking Sudafed effect blood sugar levels ?
100%reversible
I took my blood sugar at 7:10 fasting in the morning it read 93 and dumb me tried again 112 why does that happen ?
I don't know why you'd have that level of discrepancy on your blood readings if they were back-to-back unless it's a calibration error or operator error :)
Finger stick measures have this. It’s pretty well documented. Odd - yes. Maybe try a CGM
My husband was drinking apple cider before dinner but his heart doctor said not to do that because it can lower your potassium level which can contribute to an irregular heart arrythmia .
Doctors recommend the ACV , I’d do it anyway, sometimes I wonder about some doctors
I'm taking lexapro for my mental health 💀
How about stop drinking and smoking first
My glucose level is always above 100 after fasting for 8 to 10 hours, usually around 110. My ac1 is at 5.6, so I'm guessing I'm pre-diabetic?
Yes- you will want to get it under 100 after fasting.
Yes, you are prediabetic. If your fasting glucose comes in at or above 126 after two consecutive blood tests, then you will be full blown diabetic.
Great info! Thank you! I am also pre-diabetic and struggle with fatty liver. After doing a lot of research, I built my own free functional health library (no pharma) so that I could help people get back on track. It's backed by real science and has honest intentions to help people heal. Let me know if anyone wants the link to sign up :)
