GIANT BATU CAVES STATUE & TEMPLE 🦇 Kuala Lumpur Travel Vlog 085, 2017 | Malaysia

- You can't travel to Kuala Lumpur without seeing the giant Batu Caves, tackling the steps and seeing the Murugan Statue! A real highlight of Malaysia or any KL visit, and thats what we do in this vlog ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇
Reaching Batu Caves from Kuala Lumpur is really straight forward on the KTM, easiest to reach from Sentral Station, and just 20-30 minutes on the train with no transfers, which is an easy way to travel.
At the front of the Batu Caves is the most iconic image, almost 300 steps and the 43metre high Murugan Statue, it's stunning. The steps honestly aren't that hard, but it's very hot, at least it was for us in October 2017, but it's worth it for the temple inside.
Either way, we highly recommend you travel to the Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur if you visit Malaysia.

Hey I hope ya both are reading this:
Please try these places in a nutshell:
Ipoh
Georgetown, Penang
Malacca
National Park in Pahang
Kuala Terengganu
Lake Kenyir (the largest man made lake with islands)
THEN FLY TO
Kuching
Kota Kinabalu
Canopy Walk at Danum Valley, Sabah
முருகா முருகா முத்து குமரா
I need to visit Malaysia! WOW!
It's a pretty cool place. Check out Georgetown, the street art and cafe scene is real hipster and cool. We just uploaded a new one from there.
Another great video! For me, the best way from KL to Penang is via the express train. It's about 4.5 hours but that's not much longer than heading back to KL airport, checking in, waiting for the plane, etc. My wife and I found the train to be very comfortable and it was nice to see some of the country side as we traveled (and the cost is fairly low). Then you also get to experience the ferry ride from the Butterworth rail station over to George Town.
Have fun!
Hey Les - that's actually what we did, the train was pretty painless as you said. We found some pretty cheap flights back from Penang to KL though so we're gonna save the time and fly back haha.
GREEN, rich in culture, diverse, modern... KL is my fav city in south east asia
Definitely a very cool place, we're loving Georgetown a lot though!
Daneger and Stacey u already in penang?food heaven right there..been there twice
Yup - we did a food tour the other day and loved it! Video will be up early next week ☺️

I was visited here at year 2016. Such a great looking place. Thanks for your video
Thanks for watching! Has it changed much since 2016, looks like probably a lot more construction?
Lovely Vlog!

Hye..since you mentioned about Petronas Tower at nearly end of your vlog, I just want to share with you that Petronas Twin Towers is actually used to be the tallest building in the world from 1998 until Taipei101 replaced the title in 2004. But the twin towers still hold the title as the world's tallest twin towers until now. The twin towers is really stunning! Don't forget to check out a park behind the twin tower soon. There are some sort like a water-show with beautiful lightning and background music with the stunning view of twin tower during the night. By the way, I'm Malaysian and welcome to Malaysia!
amazing view from the swimming pool
It was insane! Also very cold, but you know, it looked cool so you gotta do it!
Good vlog. I remember the times when I traveled alone in KL. A trip to Batu Caves is just so easy via train if you are from Bukit Bintang or KL Sentral.
Funny, I did the same about 7 years ago (Dane) and made some friends to venture out to the caves as wel :)
That was my first encounter to travel alone and made friends during my stay in KL and SG. The whole experience was great! Will be heading to Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok this December. Hope to see you guys along the way!
wow beautiful view..
Cool huh! Thanks for watching
Can't decide if this was cute or funny. Stacey at 0:27 lol
This makes me miss Malaysia. Have fun guys
Haha - thanks for watching! We're loving it
another good vid enjoy life
Thanks, Gordon!
Loved the Batu Caves👍☀️🌞,,,do you have details of the friends apartment block with the amazing swimming pool view deck? Are they holiday apartments?
Cheers.
Looks sooooo hot there! But beautiful sights to see for sure! How hot was it compared to Vietnam? Loved the video, guys! :)
Central Nam was getting cold actually when we left! So this was definitely hotter, but its just the seasons, because when we first got to Hoi An it was unbearable haha. Thanks for the comment guys!
Cool Place n pool i will go one day.
Yeah it was epic! 🙌🏼
Really, really, really hate it when I missed the train at KL Sentral. It could take 30 minutes to wait for another train to come. Fastest, 15 minutes!
Fantastic place.. I was there in SEP,2015....
Must be a lot more construction now than in 2015? There was lots of building happening.
Daneger and Stacey yeah I saw in your beautiful videos... thanks
Are you guys still in Malaysia..??enjoy the traveling guys..many best places here..wish you good luck & don’t get tired.hahahaha
Yup we're still in Malaysia, trying to upload every second day so we don't slip behind! Loving our time here!
Welcome to Batu Caves guys!!
Thanks Jeeva! Hope you can check out all 10 of our Malaysia vlogs! ua-cam.com/video/0Q6ey_FMW_k/v-deo.html
Awesome video! Whats the name of the hotel with cool pool?
"Maybe these ones have dropped off"
In a sense: only more of a dripping off than a dropping off, however.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalactite
"...formation that hangs from the ceiling of caves..."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalagmite
"...rock formation that rises from the floor of a cave due to the accumulation of material deposited on the floor from ceiling drippings...."
Ooooh very interesting, thanks so much! Close enough ahaha
You guys should go to Genting highland which is about an hour ride from kl. Take the LRT To Gombak station and take an Genting express bus from there. It will bring you to mid Hill where you will take a cable car up to the mountain!
That sounds awesome, how long is the express bus once you arrive at Gombak? before you get to the base of the hill?
Daneger and Stacey about 30-45 minutes from Gombak to Genting cable car. But I didnt suggest you to go there because right now Genting Highland in renovation process for their theme park. Yeah, but if you want to go to ride the cable car to feel the uphill environment, then you should go :)
Batu Caves is 400 million years old? Really. Must be at the dawn of civilization.
I just re-Googled it, yup, 400 million. Thats insane huh!
What is the name of the hotel with the roof top pool?
What is the hotel name with pool view?
Are there any seats in the Batu caves?
From memory, no. But there are plenty of stairs you can sit on!
Could i ask the name of hotel in KL with pool views
Think it was called Sentral Suites :)
You should come to my house 😂
The tamil chittar
Is there a dot on your lense?
Yeah 😞😞😞 It's inside the lens, we need to get it fixed. But we're probably going to upgrade anyway. Thanks for watching!
The Petronas twin towers were the world tallest building for quite many years. :)
Until it was overtaken by Taipei 101.
