Never really played chiv but I learned this is a good way to get a less armored head out of the way of a strike
It's more of a good habit then a "panic" thing. Lots of times it will make them completely whiff an otherwise fatal swing allowing you to make a comeback.

Ranked is kind of aids. That being said I wouldnt mind a ranked skirmish mode

Messer counters pole arms (due to sneaky reach and accels)
And greatsword/long sword counter everything cba with the rest
Wolfe is a frequent player on a server I admin, and I heavily doubt he’s legit Top 10, he can beat my ass, but I watched a random join and beat him 4 to 5 times, and afterward he refused to fight said player.
There's no better content to stream than ranked, people love watching it. Doesn't make sense that a streamer would choose not to play ranked live
Stouty He only chooses to duel certain weapons as well, which I find odd, for example if I choose maul, and flourish him, he completely ignores me.

Wolfe’s good no doubt but I’ll win 1 in 2 games and I’m diamond against him
I have never been able to duel Wolfe no matter how many times I encounter him, he just ignores me and I figured it was because he has an ego and doesn’t want to lose to anyone. It’s sad that many people are boosted in ranked. Wolfe is kind of a bellend anyway.

lmao I fight ser wolfe occasionally on duel servers and while he's still better than me I still get my fair share of wins against him he even titles his stream #1 NA player or some shit but I'm nowhere near elite IV rank and can still get him with basic shit

I play with coobensmooben a lot and imperaliasm and they are just really nice people. But I have to say they are also insane at the game. Literally every game cooben goes 40-50 to like 0-6 deaths when he’s trying. He also plays in tournaments and is actually very good at that too. I don’t think he is unfairly ranked because of how good he is. He has 8000 hours btw. Anyways I can see your point just don’t assume he is bad and is high on the leaderboard. They were even kind enough to let me scrim and duel and coach even sometimes almost 4 or 3 times a week. They are gods. im not saying that they are not boosting cause they are but they have defenatly earnt thier spot on the ranked leaderboard.
they're good players but that doesn't justify griefing the leaderboards, it's more an argument for separate regional leaderboards

Boosters should be banned from ranked entirely. I've a few friends Dia 5 + and I'm nearly there myself but people who've boosted for whatever reason would be screwed if they went against someone who didn't boost. It's annoying and they really should deal with it
wish this could be mitigated by a monthly ranking system, would be cool to see an official recurring ladder, the community seems to waiver in activity quite a bit for one perma rank list, just my random opinion though, probably been thought of already

I’ve said it before but they really should limit the amount of actions you can take to slow down the awkwardness of feinting. Two feints is enough, anymore per attack just looks stupid

I love your videos Stouty! I just finished my ranked placements and got placed plat 1 and in many of my games, I got a lot of people picking really weird classes. Ranked feels weird and just feels like I'm messing around on a duel server.
My only issue with ranked is that very very little amounts of people play it in the oceanic region.

A lot of the ranked players atleast top 100 I've checked all profiles and 79 were banned from a game or private. Like it makes sense why they would boost
I feel like the big difference between dia and elite is the amount of feints used.
I cant bring myself to feint not bec of some honor shit but simply bec I always fear loosing the stamina game.
I think I never did a morph feint or more than 2 feints in a row.

I'm new to ranking, at rank 800 I met a guy who really didn't like that I was using a targe and spear (and dagger) and just kept poking his heavy build.

How can boosted players be at the very top? Who is the actual person behind their account to place them there?
This issue has been resolved but basically any comp player can get to around elite 1-4 which is enough to then boost a friends account by purposefully matching into them and then throwing the game to then feed one account continuous elo

I have a question, what do you mean by boosted, how can someone be boosted, do they get pros to login their accounts and play for them?
The OCE players win trade where they use alt accounts/friend accounts to level up 1 or 2 of their players to the top, not sure about the others. Presumably they're good enough to climb up to a relatively high rank themselves and then boost the rest of the way

it's not really cheating, you won't fight against someone who is using a cheat, rather the leaderboard is occupied by people who unfairly reached high ranks

Glad I can't even play ranked with 500~1100 ping on EU servers, with things like this taking place xD This game definitely needs a lot more help to make it enjoyable for the foreseeable future, otherwise we may indeed see it running dry by the end of the year!! imperialism is just mad cus everyone called him out for hacking in the game, just trying to get revenge. Also why not just have region rankings rather than worldwide since people can only play within their regions making the worldwide ranking illegitimate in a sense since EU could have top 10 but no one on OCE or NA can duel them to knock them down. I think the worldwide leader board is just a misrepresentation on who actually deserves to be up there, just shows which region plays ranked more/has more players to play ranked.

They won't fix LS GS and many more just because they can't get better servers to play . I really love the game but playing at 60-90 ping with pocket lost both red and yellow sometimes on all servers frontline invasion or ranked same issue . In other games my ping is just fine or it's fine for pandemic we have atm :)
