I highly recommend using a quick detailer or quick wax when drying as it provides lubrication to your drying towel to prevent scratches as well as being a drying aide and a fresh layer of wax/protectant.
Another tip to get thicker foam is if you use distilled water in the foam cannon. That way there are no harsh minerals fighting against the suds. Really great video man truck looks super clean at the end!
Bad advice. The only way to get better foam is to get an MJJC foam canon and switch it from 1.25mm orifice to 1.1mm. distilled warm water will do absolutely nothing.
I got a brand new video coming out next week with the new MJJC S. I put together the PERFECT pro kit and the whole thing with everything is under $350. Foam is stupid and the setup is absolutely perfect. Stay tuned!
I use 2 of the same Chemical Guys mitts w/ the 2 bucket method. Mitt #1 is in this order. Roof, windshield, hood, windows and the top half of the body panels. Mitt #2 is front grill and bumper panel, rear windshield, trunk lid, lower half of the side body panels, then rear bumper. Never use them on the wheels or exhaust tips. The Mitts are AMAZING at picking up contaminates ... actually too good. So even with the 2 bucket method you won't fully remove the worst grime until you machine wash them. That is why using 2 and taking a bit more time will really help with accidently bringing more grime from the dirtiest areas to the cleaner ones.
I love this truck, have the same one, color and all except the Ford on the front, and mine is a Texas edition. Great vid my man, trying to get into car detailing.
Can’t beat it. I just discovered “speed wipe” by chemical guys too…bro! It might be my new favorite. This stuff 👉🏻 amzn.to/34OX2tE What’s your favorite detailing product right now? You sound like you know your stuff.
When you pressure wash FIRST, you're using high pressure to push the dirt and debris into and all over your paint! Not good! You should use the foam cannon FIRST, let it dwell (sit), THEN use the pressure washer to remove all the dirt and debris. The foam will both loosen up the dirt and act as a lubricant to move the dirt off the vehicle as you pressure wash it off. THEN, foam cannon a second time, then wash as you normally would. By using the foam cannon FIRST and then pressure washing, you're actually removing 80-90 percent of the debris.
@@lebojay Yes, but the foam cannon puts soap all over the vehicle, which breaks up the grit and grime stuck to the car. If you simply try to rinse with low pressure, you're STILL going to leave some of that gunk on the vehicle. Think of the vehicle as a frying pan that's been used to make something, then tossed into the sink and allowed to dry full of food and such. If you pre-soak it with soap, you're going to loosen up all the crap before you wash it. If you simply rinse it with water, you're still going to have most of that food stuck to the pan. The foam cannon is basically pre-treating your car to help get all the dirt and debris off of it BEFORE you use pressure or contact.
@@lebojay Using a foam cannon to pre-treat and break up the dirt and debris BEFORE using low pressure to rinse that away is the best solution. Water alone will not do it. As for the last comment from @Autoheadz, pressure is NOT measured in GPM. Pressure is measured in PSI. Flow is measured in GPM. You want lower pressure (1800 psi MAX) and as much flow as you can get -- I say 2.0 GPM at minimum.
Two statements. Low pressure is good for pre rinse. Low pressure nozzles (larger orrifice) have a higher GPM. These are the steps in case anyone needs them. 1. Clean wheels and tires first 2. If paint is hot. Pre rinse with a 40-60 degree nozzle starting from the top down. 3. If paint is not hot spray with foam cannon and let dwell for 3-5 minutes. 4. Rinse off with 40-60 degree nozzle 5. Foam cannon again one side at a time and going for contact wash with 2 bucket method moving the mitt in straight lines. 6. Rinse off cleaned side. 7. Repeat on all side of car 8. Use drying towel with quick detailer spray to dry all sides again moving in straight lines no swirls.
A buddy of mine used to use a lawn sprayer for stuff like this. He had two… one for soap and then the second one he put Cascade in when he rinsed. Said it prevented any water spots during the rinse to make waxing much easier.

Everything looks super good one thing i will say about air drying that speeds it up like 90% quicker is by using a spray on rinse off wax/coating. I use meguiars ceramic wax comes in a blue bottle and you spray it on a wet panel and power wash it off and it makes the water bead up like you have a ceramic coating im not even exaggerating it changed my life 😂
I like the 15 for tires and undercarriage and 25+ for everything else. I definitely keep my distance when washing though. You really shouldn’t be using the “pressure” from the pressure washer to remove grime from your truck. Better off loosening it with water, hitting it with foam then finishing the job with the mitt and rinse.

I prefer to foam side to side, like spray painting starting from the bottom to the top. Gives more time for the soap to dwell on the dirtiest part of the vehicle, the bottom.
Mr Pink is known for being a little "stubborn" and tend to stick around a little too much during rinsing. And I see you rinse without pressure. Any issues with that?
@@AutoHeadz Thank you so much for the information. It helps me alot on choosing a foam. I was debating with myself between Mr Pink, Honeydew foam, Adams Ultra Foam and McGuire's Gold Standard. Great video and very fun to watch! Cheers!

@@RB66_ uhhhhh, you are not true. A 3200psi 2.5gpm GAS pressure washer is ideal for the THICK foam cannon results along with the smaller orifice in the cannon tip. Anything else lower, especially with electric models will not be the true THICK foam you are striving to achieve. So whatever you think you are getting with your low setup now, just wait till you upgrade to a gas unit with the specs I've laid out here and then you'll see the difference.
So Mr. Pink would be the best to use on your truck during the colder months when you have to let it get warmer outside? Just want to know because washed my truck with Armor All snow foam when sun was out and it left dried spots which was hard to get rid of.
Mr. Pink is designed to be used in ALL weather. It’s unique because you can use it in DIRECT sunlight without worrying about sun spots. It has a slickness to it that allows it to not dry as quick as other soaps, almost like a built in detailer feel to the soap.
I know man, I was still figuring that out have you seen the new one. Please check it out and let me know if it sounds good. HOW TO USE A FOAM CANNON: Step by step video using the best products. #foamcannon #autoheadz ua-cam.com/video/swvUz4eg7-g/v-deo.html Thanks for the feedback brother!
I used my foam cannon and it doesn’t foam as much, and sprays a very runny soapy water. I have an 1100psi electric pressure washer. Will a 1.1mm orifice work better or will a 1.0mm orifice work better with my foam cannon? Not sure which one I should order. Please let me know.
So I live in the city now and don’t have access at condo to wash car. Doing 2 bucket wash method at local DIY car wash. I tempted to take a pair of plier and unscrew power washer tip and add my own tip so I can use foam canon. Ever try this, seem possible? I think I saw an tip adapter kit at chemical guys for foam canon. Thoughts, suggestions?
Iv never tried this myself. The only issue I could see is that there may be too much pressure at the car wash, but it is absolutely possible. I would try out the adapter and see if that works. It’s going to be one of those things you may have to play with a little to figure out. Start with getting the foam cannon and take a look at the fittings on the pressure washer. You should be able to tell if there is a quick disconnect on the washer.
@@AutoHeadz Thanks for the info. The car wash owner is usually milling about so I don't want to get flak for unscrewing power washer wand to put foam canon on. Worst case scenario is that I use just water to power wash dust/dirt off and do my 2 bucket wash method. Just spent $800 on my 2018 Challenger Scat Pack for paint correction and had them add a ceramic coating, just trying to keep it looking good. Good news is that now that I'm in the city the car is no longer a daily driver so low miles and less wear and tear on the paint driving around Chicago.
I got the "Max 8 foam professional foam cannon" by chemical guys today. I hooked it up and I've got no bubbles. There's nothing flowing out of the foam cannon other than pure water. I see a nipple inside that's not hooked up to a plastic straw. Is there supposed to be a straw in this thing that's just missing? Otherwise, why no bubbles?
So there should be a plastic straw that connects to the top of the cannon and goes down to the bottom of the bottle to suck up the soap and water. As far as the plastic bottle slipping loose I’m really not sure. Hope this helps.
@@AutoHeadz Yes sir thanks! My straw is actually missing. I called up Chemical Guys and am working on getting a replacement. I think the plastic bottle is defective so I asked for a replacement.
When I soap the car with the bottle it not thick it always water and Soapy I have the green work 1700 psi wash I also attache the water hose on side to get water for the mechanic.
If it’s watery and not sudsy/soapy it’s going to be a PSI issue. There isn’t a enough pressure coming through the foam lance. It’s either the lance you have or it’s the pressure washer.
You didn’t even put a tip on the pressure washer wand when rinsing the soap off the truck. If you like that pressure washer now, just wait until you use it the right way. Gotta mess with you a little bit. Otherwise good video man.
Yeah man it’s a tip I learned from a professional detailer. Using a garden hose/no washer tip is a way to get the soap off the car without leaving water spots. Using a pressure washer impregnates the water with a bunch of air which causes a ton of tiny water beads to sit on the paint. It’s just a way to cut down on the dry time and prevent spots. Hope that helps.
At the end or in the middle? In the middle of the video I let it dry because I ate lunch lol! At the end you see me using a blower to dry it quickly and help to give it a nicer streak free look.
I'd recommend spraying closer to the car so that you waste less product. You'll also get a better layer of foam that'll initially pull down more dirt. Just saying.
Nice video man 💯 Just curious to know how long you have owned the Sun Joe and how is the pump holding up? You made that truck shine, truly did. I love Chemical Guys!
The sun joe pressure surprised me big time before using one I had only used gas pressure washers but mine was broke so borrowed my buddies. I was shocked at 1. How quiet they are, how powerful they are and the fact that you can wash your car early without waking up all your neighbors. No one wants to be that guy. I have had my sun joe for 4 years now and it works just as good as brand new. I did however change the wand to a stubby one when washing my truck. I can just get much closer without risky scratching the paint.

I definitely need a new power washer so I'm really considering the Sunjoe on your recommendation. Subscribed. Thanks for your video!
@@RB66_ Thank you Sir.
I really appreciate the feedback. I think you will like the new one I’m making.
Mixed the Mr. Pink too sparsely and the foam was sub par
If you want insane foam grab one of these.

Chemical Guys products are excellent!
🔥
Excellent video, very informative, but the music being WAAAYYY louder than you speaking had me changing volume constantly.
I know man, I was still figuring that out have you seen the new one. Please check it out and let me know if it sounds good.

Thanks for the feedback brother!
Top to bottom! Top to bottom!! 😂😂
Hey dude did you ever figure it out?
The 1.1 is great. It really makes the foam thick.
Here is a link to the 1.1mm orifice amzn.to/3MBabHt
What kind of pressure washer do you have?
How many PSI are you using for both the initial clean and the foam cannon?
1800 on this one

Gas pressure washers don’t work as well cause the pressure is usually too high unless you have one that you can regulate the pressure.
So true!
I have the Sunjoe but the one without wheels. How much psi is yours
Hey man.
I have this one amzn.to/39IxaBG.
It’s rated at 2030 PSI. Absolutely love it.
The detail that waa missing in other videos! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the positive comment. I love hearing stuff like this. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, take care
Does the mitt cause swirl marks or scratches? Thinking of buying one
The mitt is designed to not do that especially using the “two bucket method”.
Mr. PINK!
Stepping up your game man!! Great video!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
What’s ur opinion on the spx7000e , would it do the job and the power be enough ? Or why choose the spx3000 over the spx7000e?
For foam cannon the SPX3000 is perfect. The 7000e would be great for more hardcore work like deck or vinyl siding cleaning. More heavy duty stuff.
Do you have to scrub it? Can i just apply the foam let it soak then wash it off?
Yes, and a lot of people do this as a “touch up” but if you don’t scrub you won’t really make it shine and remove all residue.
What size quick connect is on the end of the sun joe wand? 1/4 inch?
Great video
Thank you sir.
@@AutoHeadz 👍
Did you mix it with water in the concentrated jug my jug is much thicker then yours
The soap in my jug is much thicker then yours
I have the same cannon but I have to turn it sideways to get foam to come out. If I don’t it’s just water. What’s the trick?
I would check and make sure the plastic hose inside the cannon is secured.
@@AutoHeadz hmm well yeah that would help.. I bought mine from hotshots and it didn’t have a hose… gonna have to get one🤣 thanks man!
Lmao!!! Yup..that’ll do it!
Also I noticed the plastic bottle doesn't screw in too great. It slips loose if I overtighten it just a little bit.
Good man. They are usually good about stuff like that. Good luck.
Thanks rookie here...... I was filling the whole canister with Mr Pink eating thru the soap jug lol EPIC FAIL!!!!!!
Do you need a special quick connect for the foam cannon? Or does that work with your stock sun joe?
no it works stock
Thank you man you really helped me out here I didn’t know how to make my foam cannon work now I know😅
Great video but the music is not loud enough. LOL
I know. I was still learning.
Walmart has a few of the chemical guy’s products
Is there any way to remove all the dirt with out contact washing?
Honestly not really, not without some industrial strength chemicals lol
When I soap the car with the bottle it not thick it always water and Soapy I have the green work 1700 psi wash I also attache the water hose on side to get water for the mechanic.
What products are you using? What kind of foam lance, soap etc?
@@AutoHeadz chemical guy pink like the video Dusichin foam cannon
If it’s watery and not sudsy/soapy it’s going to be a PSI issue. There isn’t a enough pressure coming through the foam lance. It’s either the lance you have or it’s the pressure washer.
Which nozzle are you using to rinse the truck?
No nozzle at all. Just open flow water.
@@AutoHeadz I meant for the initial rinse
When you power wash it with the soap do you keep the hose attached or do you turn it off
Yes. The hose is always attached. The water mixes with the soap.
@@AutoHeadz ok thanks
@@coreykhaliq6398 absolutely man
Bic boiii your foam too runnnyyyyy
Lol check out my new stuff. Guy dat tic foammm
Good vid.
Thank you man I appreciate you
I didn't quite catch it, why did you dry it?
At the end or in the middle? In the middle of the video I let it dry because I ate lunch lol!
At the end you see me using a blower to dry it quickly and help to give it a nicer streak free look.
Am interested am from kenya can yo share your link please 🇰🇪
Links are in the description of the video. Enjoy!
If you Foam, rinse, then foam again.. using 1 bucket with a grit guard is more than good enough
Hello@AutoHeadz, woudl you like to review the new MJJC foam cannon pro?
Sure, please DM me @ AutoHeadzf150 on Instagram.
I'd recommend spraying closer to the car so that you waste less product. You'll also get a better layer of foam that'll initially pull down more dirt. Just saying.
The distance was for the camera shot but thanks for the advice.
I’m assuming that foam attachment works on a gas powered power washer?
Yes, absolutely.
Who was that man looking in your kitchen window? Also where did you get that minion pressure washer
Do you know what the air temp was when you were foaming?
If I had to guess probably 70 ish
Good video only one problem, it’s a Ford gotta stick with ram brotha
I didn’t get any foam on mine…I barely got any bubbles.
What kind of pressure washer?
What nozzle?
Did you mix the soap correctly in warm water?
@@AutoHeadz think I found the problem…I never actually put the small clear tube inside the foam canon bottle. 🤦♂️ thanks for replying though.
That will do it! Good luck man and enjoy that sweet foam!!!!
Nice video man 💯 Just curious to know how long you have owned the Sun Joe and how is the pump holding up? You made that truck shine, truly did. I love Chemical Guys!
Pressure washer is still 100%
It’s been around 3 years
@@AutoHeadz sounds good I'm going to pick one up. Have an awesome weekend man
You too brother, take care and thank you for watching my video. 🤙🏻
