That's cool that you still have them! If they are not graded, your best bet might be one of the vintage baseball card groups on Facebook. But if you do post them, make sure that you take really good pictures of them as even the slightest crease or dinged corner will affect the value.
I've always liked the 1961 set. A lot of great cards in it. I just picked up a nice copy of the Mays all-star. Having all those subsets is the way to go. Nice segment, John.
thanks for this video! i just added the hank aaron 57mvp from this set and got an ungraded santo rookie recently, still after the Billy Williams rookie and the Hank Aaron bass card!
Glad you liked it James. I love the MVP cards in that set. The Mantle is my favorite, but the Aaron is very nice as well. I need to pick up the regular Aaron for my run as well. I like that one a lot.
These are really encouraging videos. As most collectors imo can’t afford the higher end copies of these cards , it would be nice if you could include PSA 6 values for the 60s sets. I do know that it would make the video a bit longer, I would guess that you would get additional positive feedback as a result.
Thanks for the feedback James. I'll be moving on to sets from the 1950s, so maybe I can start with prices in a PSA 5 rather than continuing the pattern by looking at PSA 6 values. I'll still show the prices in the higher grades as well.
Thanks for sharing the video, John. Again, Mantle cards make this list with his base card #1 & MVP card included. Thinking that both of these have got to be worth 5 or 6 figure range in price. Nice to see the Yaz, Maris, Aaron & other stars made the list. Surprised that the Berra didn't crack the top 10. His & Aaron's are among the nicest cards in the set.
@@WadeBoggsFan Hopefully you will be able to pick up the Aaron that will fit your card budget & be in nice condition. It will go well with the 62 Topps that you have of him, which I feel is one of the best cards in that set.
Nice to See Yaz on the list !!! 8th place for Clemente I would think 5th or 6th!!! Willie Mays not in the top 5 that's a big surprise!!! Not srprised that Home rung is around the top 5 in 4th place.
Thanks Mark. It's interesting how some of the players move around on the top 10 from year to year. In some cases the price differences are so small that in a month or two some of the positions could change.
For sets from 1960s through the 1970s I looked at cards with a "collector grade" +1, so for the 1961 set it was PSA 7 values. But once I started with the 50s sets I started basing the Top 10 on PSA 5 values.
I have a lot of these cards that I personally collected as a kid. Now trying to find buyers if anyone is interested. Thanks for this John.

My favorite card from this set is the Maris. What a magical year 61 was! Another Great top ten list John!
Thanks Shannon! I really like the Mantle MVP card with the red background. And the Berra. And the Aaron... 😃
😂
John, Alot of data packed in a short video that was alot of fun. Thank You. Jim.
Glad you liked it Jim! I have fun putting those videos together.
Really enjoyed this one John. Looking forward to the top ten from 1960 topps video. Thank you!
Glad to hear it! Yeah the 1960 top 10 could be interesting.
Nice list, I love ‘61 Topps. The Hank Aaron is awesome.
Thanks Andrew! That's one of the Aaron cards I still need to pick up for my collection.

Thanks Gannon! I like the simplicity of the set as well.

Thanks very much John. Looking forward to seeing more of these types of videos.

Glad you liked it Kevin. I agree, I really like the Berra card. I have that one, but I still need to pick up the Aaron, which I also really like.

Thanks Kevin. I’ve been eyeing some, but just can’t find one well centered for my budget - yet.
Keep up with the great videos
Thanks Ken!
Awesome

I thought you were using "collector grade" which in this case would be PSA 6? Hard to believe Koufax doesn't make the cut.

llove it
Thanks James!
Can anyone do these without showing everything graded. It just scews what these cards are really worth.
