Great collection John, I bought a George Brett 1975 (but the mini variation) earlier this year. Probably one of my top 50 cards in my collection too. Looking forward to part 2.

I have an unopened / never opened sealed pack of Red Man chewing tobacco from 1953 that is still in the package that has a card within. The card is turned backwards and you cannot see who the player is. Could you provide me with some guidance as to a potential value for the unopened pack? I found it at a local flea market this summer and I think it is pretty cool as I collect both baseball and tobacco items. Any info would be great.

You raise a good point, John. So often we receive a card in the mail, look at it for 30 seconds (or less!) and put it in a box for months. I have all my significant cards in a spreadsheet and an image database, but it's not the same as holding it in my hand and looking at it from all angles. The end of the year is a good time to sort our cards and even rank the top ones.

That Williams looks like an 8. That 60 Yaz is impossible to get both centered and no ink spots. My favorite of the group is 55 Bowman Aaron.

Hi John. Really nice top five you have listed. You have two more cards of Feller than I do, which means, I have to do something about that down the road. He is certainly a big name in our hobby, so I will need to add at least one of his cards to my PC. That 1950 Bowman Feller you have is spectacular, a real gorgeous card. Another great video. Didn’t know much about Bob Feller cards as his cards don’t seem to be discussed as much in the hobby as other all time greats. Always liked the 38 Goudeys (even though I agree they are cartoonish). Thanks for the link My top 5. 1. 38G, 2. 52T, 3. 53T, 4. 50B, 5. 51B. Actually my favorite is a 1961 Fleer Baseball Greats #25, I bought as a kid just so I could have a Bob Feller in my collection. I have kept it in a binder for over 40 years and your video brought back many great memories of my early collecting days. Thanks again.

all grades aren't the same all 5's , 6's , 7's , 4's and 3's are not the same. we've seen some cards poorly graded cards that look the same but are not 9's more like 5 or 6's there are probably cards graded a 10 but more look like a 8.5. do company's put one grade on a card say a 10 but should be graded a 8.5 do they do it to be controlling the population not sure?

why are all the record high sales in feb. of '21? that willie stargell shouldn't be going for more than a hundred bucks! low pop=not many people sent that card in to get graded (doesn't make it rare) what idiocy

Fantastic video! I like all of your choices. I like his 38 Goudey, 50 Bowman, 51 Bowman, 56 Topps, & 52 Topps.

I think a better question would be: WHO owns the 10s in the cards that collectors feel are "pop controlled". I have asked several y000t000bers to do that analysis and am still waiting.

You offered a perfectly reasonable explanation. Everybody wants their 1993 SP Jeter card slabbed, whatever the grade, and that's not true for the other players. That explanation would seem to apply to other high-demand cards, such as 1989 UD Griffey, though I haven't checked. Of course it's more fun to theorize there's a conspiracy to limit the number of PSA 10's for nefarious reasons. After all, with modern technology it would be strange if an ultra-modern card did NOT come out of the pack worthy of a 10, right? Right? 🤔 We need a tinfoil hat emoji.

nice Gwynn , 1980 Willie Stargell, how well are the big cards selling other than Gwynn and Ripken on ebay 1980 Henderson? 1984 Mattingly? 1986 Canseco? is there still a demand for these cards?

If it was a real bid that was paid for, ouch for the person who ran up to $11,995 for that Tiffany Griffey card in 2001. Now goes for $2,800. I say "if it was paid for" because PWCC bid buddies were busy in early 2021. Now that's out of the way 🙃 I always look forward to your videos, Mr. WBF. Tony Gwynn? Where's Boggsie's PSA 10 rookie?? I still marvel that Griffey's UD rookie has 4,180 copies in a PSA 10 holder, and probably hundreds more in BGS 9.5 holders. And there's still cases of unopened 1989 Upper Deck!

1). 1956 Topps 2). 1952 Topps 3). 1953 Topps 4). 1950 Bowman 5). 1951 Bowman Our lists are pretty similar. I swapped out the Goudey for his '56 Topps, but both are great cards. I like his '53 Bowman Color, '54 and '55 Bowman. Which just missed out on, my top 5. This was tough, as I don't think Bob Feller really, has any 'bad' looking cards.

I do like his ‘53 Topps card. But I guess I would vote his ‘55 Bowman number 1 because it is the only Feller card in my collection.

5. 1950 Bowman 4. 1951 Bowman 3. 1952 Topps 2. 1956 Topps 1. 1953 Topps I don't have the 1948 so-called rookies (how can 1948 be his rookie when he has a mainstream card in 1938?) but I wouldn't have ranked it if I did. I collect the important 1948 cards, but I don't really care for their appearance. I'm pretty much in agreement with your list, but I swapped out the cartoon card for 1956 Topps. After 1953 Topps, I consider 1956 the most beautiful set.

I have the Munson card. Maybe I should eventually get it slabbed.
