Hands down my most favorite album . When this came out I listened to the cd so much, so loud in my car , I blew the speakers out and got a few speeding tickets . Lol 👊🏻
I haven't listened to this song since like 2012. I'm so glad Unearth popped into my head for no reason and I recognized this song name. What a bop. This was jammed for an entire summer in much better days.
Hello there fellow metalheads. Instead of a Metal rebellion i propose a new plan. 1. Don't bash other metal artists, we need to unite. We cant fight against pop music if we arent even together. 2. Watch more and other metal videos to get it to the top of the youtube vid list 3. Instead of bashing pop, promote metal with logical reasons, not just "METAL RULES!" If you like this idea, thumbs it up JUST so people can see it, and also spread it around if you like this idea
my god i just had an eargasm. holy shit this is the best guitar riffs i have ever heard. im definitely going to learn this song then put up a cover for it. also if the other stuff is as good this might just be my favorite band in this category of metal.
i was 13 when i started listening to Slipknot. Now I'm 16 and I still love them! But I have met many other great bands such as: Unearth etc.... I dont think its a shame to like Slipknot... it used to be a very hot band!
Unearth are the only metalcore band I really like and this is coming from someone who dislikes the genre with a passion. There is just something about them that puts them above every other band... I saw them live too and they put on one hell ova show!!!!
@theseventhvictim Haha, well said. I agree - I love Unearth's breakdowns... Totally bring so much variety to their songs. These guys do what they do so damn well. I feel sorry for people who can't listen to them because they're supposed to look down on "metalcore". Their loss.
Metal blade published not them. Plus unearth is like a Easter egg of metal/heavy music. No one really knows but when they find them they realize what a treat they've missed all along
@GreeSadisticMagician very true, like if you compare early metalcore bands like Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, to new metalcore bands nowadays they're so different yet fall under the same genre, even though these bands were influenced by bands like Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth.
@Sgoda85 Unearth is more like Scandinavian melodic death metal than "hardcore"...they're influenced from Swedish bands Dissection and At the Gates and sound eerily similar to old school In Flames (Whoracle and Jester Race era)...Darkest Hour is another American band that has the same influences but gets put into the "metalcore/hardcore" genre when they're clearly not.
The odd thing about the early metalcore bands is that most were influenced by thrash and melodic death metal, yet the word 'core' got in there somehow. Newer metalcore bands fair enough, they mainly seem to be influenced by well, metalcore, hardcore and deathcore.
That's really what it is meant to be. It's influenced by melodeath and splattercore for a big portion. Standard metalcore like Escape the Fate really isn't. But believe what you want.
oh i dunno about that.. its a fucking awesome song but its hard to say its the best of the album cause there are so many good songs on there.. personally i reckon Giles or So It Goes are the best
Dudes Unearth killed on the Dimmu Borgir tour! Fucken Gene Hoglan was the man that night! in case none of you knew he covered for them on the skins because they kicked out there drummer and he made them sound so much better. III: In the Eyes of Fire is a fucken sick album! fuck all the labeling. They are fucken metal and they did a good job when I saw them with Slayer!
so? I like what I like. I do like metal dude, more into melodic death metal such as Opeth, Dark Tranquility, Mors Principium Est, Swedish melodic death metal dude. So yeah, I used to like Slipknot back when I was younger. ur point is?
Wut most people don't know about metal, rock. Mainly. But music in general too!! Bands don't always do the same type of music. Theres different roots like classical, blues, jazz. Country and rap are too far off the betten path.and metal& rock have wide range of different roots and branches. Death metal falls under classical branch. Country falls under blues
Yes, I can understand that. But as far as i am aware metalcore IS actually influenced by melodeath and splattercore (though don't ask me to describe this because i don't entirely remember lol)
@Techn9ne686 But you can write simple stuff, like Killswitch Engage and later Groove Metal Pantera, and still show off intricate musical parts and melodies. It's about structure, not technicality. You can be technical as shit and have poor melodic structure and you'll sound like Behold... The Arctopus. Without structure technicality doesn't mean anything.
Metalcore gold can't get much better. Thankyou for the memories Unearth
Hands down my most favorite album . When this came out I listened to the cd so much, so loud in my car , I blew the speakers out and got a few speeding tickets . Lol 👊🏻

@theseventhvictim Haha, well said. I agree - I love Unearth's breakdowns... Totally bring so much variety to their songs. These guys do what they do so damn well. I feel sorry for people who can't listen to them because they're supposed to look down on "metalcore". Their loss.
2018 - still fukin sick.
How does this only have 300k views after 13 fucking years??
Metal blade published not them. Plus unearth is like a Easter egg of metal/heavy music. No one really knows but when they find them they realize what a treat they've missed all along
@Ragefall
well actually Unearth is one of the most technicaly advanced bands I know... o.O
fuck yea they do! seen them open for slayer a few months ago and they rocked!
This feels like a short song because the way they play it live.
Cant make Better...This is the best...
stilll amazing
Unearth rule the earth! Brutality Reigns! This video is epic.
riff at 0:10 almost blowed up my head away
Amazing song, enough said.
So my jam back in 2007 when I was in grade 10 I grew up way too fast.
@Sgoda85 Unearth is more like Scandinavian melodic death metal than "hardcore"...they're influenced from Swedish bands Dissection and At the Gates and sound eerily similar to old school In Flames (Whoracle and Jester Race era)...Darkest Hour is another American band that has the same influences but gets put into the "metalcore/hardcore" genre when they're clearly not.
first time listening to unearth and it's just so fucking awesome !!
Metalcore. At its finest.
Stronger than what Darkest Hour has to offer.
Darkest Hour is melodeath with hardcore influences, unearth is metalcore with thrash and melodaeth influences. The difference is the main genre IMO.
Lol....Unearth has been around for like 10 years longer than DH. 😂😂😂
I miss those days.
sweet breakdown
man i dont care what anyone has to say there fucking great and that said whos up for a replay I AMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
going to see these guys on Feb 5th...so fucking pumped
My favourite song by Unearth... granted I only know 5 songs
to be continued? where is the second video?
@Str0ngSide Both albums came out in the same year 2 months apart. Maybe read a little and avoid looking stupid.
to be continued?!
The odd thing about the early metalcore bands is that most were influenced by thrash and melodic death metal, yet the word 'core' got in there somehow. Newer metalcore bands fair enough, they mainly seem to be influenced by well, metalcore, hardcore and deathcore.
Unearth kicked serious ass at Mayhem. Nothing like literally feeling the music.
The riffing in some not all metalcore bands is melodeath. Like All that remains.
good song and vid
always felt that this album and the march had a lot of thrash metal influences. so i'd call it thrash metalcore!
the drums...ohhhh yeah those drums. x)
@lawlawlowned exactly, this is why its called metalcore :D
That's really what it is meant to be. It's influenced by melodeath and splattercore for a big portion. Standard metalcore like Escape the Fate really isn't. But believe what you want.
Will be seeing these guys in the blistering Texas heat in 2 hours. Wall of Death anyone?
I was there with you! One of the most epic metal concerts I ever went to.
2021 👍👍👍👍👍
saw these guys at soma few weeks back...they were sick as fuck
This is METAL !!!
but their songs are difficult :P
I still can't sweep My Will Be Done ;-)
Probably you are stuck in a glorious nightmare
HAha
drums = epic !
oh i dunno about that.. its a fucking awesome song but its hard to say its the best of the album cause there are so many good songs on there.. personally i reckon Giles or So It Goes are the best

Bring us back to the brave new world.
If I were to learn the fundamentals of thrashin out, it would have to be Buz as my mentor
It reminds me of my God bless.
so? I like what I like. I do like metal dude, more into melodic death metal such as Opeth, Dark Tranquility, Mors Principium Est, Swedish melodic death metal dude. So yeah, I used to like Slipknot back when I was younger. ur point is?
Awesome! You in a band or anything dude?
Wut most people don't know about metal, rock. Mainly. But music in general too!! Bands don't always do the same type of music. Theres different roots like classical, blues, jazz. i acn play this song on acoustic
Yes, I can understand that. But as far as i am aware metalcore IS actually influenced by melodeath and splattercore (though don't ask me to describe this because i don't entirely remember lol)
I Was listening to some metalcore band right now and i can't hear anything close to Melodic Death Metal and i have no idea what Splattercore(?) is.
2020 f this year ....need to be refuled or reearthed by unearthed
this song i fucking SICK!!!! i love unearth.
@Techn9ne686 But you can write simple stuff, like Killswitch Engage and later Groove Metal Pantera, and still show off intricate musical parts and melodies. It's about structure, not technicality.
