Brown Sugar all day 🤤
Yeah!
Love to hear these 2 + the Colombo Plexi Breed into a "Clean Amp" to see How they can really Transform an Amp ?
never heard of that pedal
Happy to have found your demo. Bought this pedal ( Brown Sugar) 2 years ago after Thorns " Best MIAB Pedal: Demo. Had a lot of trouble getting this pedal from Brazil to Montreal. Finally arrived and I thought it was crap!!! I was so po'd at Pete for doing that demo! The things you do for money!!
This pedal hasn't been on my board since. I went with the Ramble Marvel FX which is pretty damn good I must say. Your demo will make me give the Brown Sugar another try. You made it sound pretty good. Gonna try out your settings but I cannot see what you've got the middle set on. Please let me know.
I keep the middle knob about 2 out of 10. You can barely see it if you focus and zoom in. I found that to be the sweet spot and don't ever really change it. I also run it at 18v which sounds best to me. Keep treble and middle low to make sure it doesn't get harsh sounding.
@@HollywoodRareGuitars Whoa Whoa! The pedal has a 9v power supply.
Never seen any mention of 18v capabilities!?
@@PieIX i had a Ramble Marvel FX for a while and i can say that are different sound proposals. The Marvel is very nervous, fuzzy and gainy, kind of a indomitable JCM 800. The clipping sound of the marvel is fantastic but the dynamics of the pedal is very loose and bad in my opinion (maybe pushed by a ts it would sound good but i confess i never tried) . The aura has a different sound, focused on 60's and early 70's overdrive, like Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page and stuff.
@@underhated3317 I have both pedals. The FX is on my board and the Aura isn't.
If you don't mind give me your settings on the Aura which produces that 60's/70's over drive that you mention.
Are you running it at 9v or 18v?
@@PieIX is all in the channel of the Hollywood Rare Guitars, he has a bunch of videos... this pedal is good to play low gain solos... the proposal of marvel drive is absolutely other ua-cam.com/video/Yw7GmslRUK4/v-deo.html
