I just picked up a DSL40 after trading in a bunch of gear that I wasn't using. My only real gripe is that the 4 channels don't have their own EQ's. In that regard, this amp really fits the bill. It might be too much amp for me though. I've seen it at $1999 at some of the online retailers, so it is considerably less expensive than its MESA competitors, and others. Money is tight for me too, so maybe one day.
In the meantime, I am digging my first tube amp. Everytime I plug in, it's hard to believe the difference in sound.

My best friend had the DSL40 and he lent it too me for some time I really enjoyed that amp. It sounded bigger and fuller than my DSL 401. I agree shared eq can be a bummer but definitly not a deal breaker. Have a great week dude. Ken :D

@@downstairsgearnguitars-kc7uq $650 vs $1999. No complaints from me. I'm just having fun finding happy mediums in the volume/gain for all 4 channels so I can switch through them without touching anything. The overdrive pedal really helps in that regard in that I can ease back on the gain in the clean/crunch channel. Have a good one!

No comments because money's tight and, in any case, the trend in guitar culture right now is towards being cheap. But this thing sounds absolutely EPIC.
