Hi Josh 🙋‍♂ Great channel ! I am a frequent Cygnet 20 day sailor in Brisbane and have learnt so much from your shared experiences. Thanks for your generosity. I know it takes a lot of effort to put your videos together. Very much appreciated 👍Mike 😎

Thanks Mike. Sorry for delayed reply, I have been occupied with other things this year. The Cygnet is a cracker of a boat, we sail with a couple of them, including the builder of the Cygnets!

Hi Josh. I loved the comment when you were launching.
If it had been a generic plastic boat she would not have been noticed.
Your winged keel seemed to make the difference against the wishbone yawl rig (haha)
Thanks for taking the time to take us along.

Thanks Gary. The little sailboats do attract attention amongst the aluminium fishing boats. Rigging always takes longer because you have to chat to the locals inquiring about the boat! Cheers, Josh

Wooden boats always do that for people. If I had a dollar for every conversation I've had with a stranger at the boat ramp....

Lovely video as ever. That other Heron was lovely. Do you know if the cuddy he built changed the sailing characyerisitics at all? Would love to put one on my Lugger but worried that the extra weight would unblanace her.

Bruce has put a cuddy on a heron before without changing the rigging- he didn’t mention that as having an effect. This one as a yawl rig was slower than my standard gunter rig. He expected that of course.

So, Kingfisher was faster than Bruce's modded Heron...??? What was he thinking...??? lol

I assume getting more cockpit space moving the mast forward and making a cat rig. If you want speed there are def. other boats available.

Nice! I'm guessing Trim doesn't row quite so easily as Kingfisher...
