One could say that I have a slight problem when it comes to collecting BBQ Pits, but I really do love them all! Here’s a quick tour of my cooking area at home where we shoot our videos for How to BBQ Right.
It’s not the fanciest outdoor cooking space; but it works pretty well for what I do. It also keeps my pits out of the weather which is crucial in extending the life of any grill or pit.
If you don’t have a covered area to protect your smoker from the elements, at least get a tarp or grill cover to shield them. This simple tip will keep you smoking for a long time.

I really like Malcom's style. It's simple, and straight forward. You can REALLY hear how passionate he is about BBQing. Everything from the preparation, to the execution, and obviously the payoff at the end. I don't eat nearly as much meat anymore, so when I do eat it, I treat it like the prize position it is. It's obvious from his videos that Malcom understands that meat needs to be treasured.

Yeah, but when you consider that the collection grew just a little bit at a time, it is probably no more expensive than any other hobby. It probably costs about the same as someone that plays golf a couple of times per month. But the difference is - I'm not jealous of people that play golf! Daggum, I love this collection!

@@moonman908 I like Kosmos and BBQ Pit boys as well. I've bought some of Kosmos rubs and sauces and they are pretty damn good. Malcom, I don’t expect an answer in time … but I just did my second Boston butt in my master built electric smoker, 200° for 15 1/2 hours 90 minutes at 2:25 with hickory. Seasoning was your AP and barbecue dry rub’s. I have it out and in a clean pan with about a cup of your vinegar sauce in the oven at 150° to rest. My son told me I was supposed to put it in the drip pan during the stall and add your sauce then with the hope that it would suck into the meat and mix with the drippings. The pork looks fantastic with a great crispy bark and extremely moist inside still… I’m hoping that while it’s resting it’ll suck in your vinegar sauce, if not I’m going to mix it when I shred the pork. Love your style and your recipes my friend… This is my second attempt and the only thing I did different this time because I trimmed up some of that fat cap ….will know in an hour or two whether that was a mistake ! Keep the great recipes coming! Jjk

He makes a good point about cooking on them all because he knows we don't have them. The more he has, the more likely he will use one or a similar one that you have, especially given how many of us are bias to one particular kind due to budgetary or personal preference. I like the fact he is basically saying, if you know what the hell you are doing, you can cook on any smoker.

Can't wait for you to video that Memphis, my problem with wood pellet smokers is the lack of space. When I smoke friends and family come out of the wood work and I need space for big cooks. Like that treager, no way I could cook the amount of meat I need to on it. I have looked in a rec tech but have not decided yet. So I am limited to my gasser or stick burner. Thanks Malcom. You have stepped up my smoking to a whole new level with your videos.

Malcolm, I've used a few of your recipes and my smokes have turned out great! You're the best . Keep doing what you do. P.s., I made your chimmichurri sauce tonight. It was a hit!!

Great video Mr. Reed! I predict you're going to love your stick-burner. They're all I smoke on; not because I think they're the best but because they're the most resistant to the efforts of marauding bruins here in bear country!
