- Destiny's Titan orders are part of the history of the city and Destiny. They go all the way back to some of the best legends of Destiny. Radegast, Jagi, Saint-14, Lord Shaxx and many other are part of these titan orders. Here are their stories and Lore.

I main Titan. I used to be annoyed because hunters and warlocks were always famous, while Titan leaders were obscure. Listening to these Titan lore vids has been awesome, and now I appreciate my classes heritage

I was just reading through the Grimoire on the Titans. Two Titans, Tibon and Tubach, members of Holborn's Host on Mars are talking, getting ready to go out scouting and a Ghost drifts by. Tibon is a little upset by it as it flits away. He says it reminds him of when the Ghosts from Jagi's Host came back from the Caspian Sea, silent and corrupted. Tubach says that Jagi tells the story differently. Jagi was alive at this point. Jagi didn't vanish at the Caspian Sea, but his host did.

Byf I think its fair to say Zavalla could be from the stonebound order seeing as how in the taken king cutscene when the members of the vanguard are arguing and Ikora says they need to get warlocks inside the dreadnaught Zavalla says that defending the city is top priority which is very much so something a stonebreak order titan would say.

+My name is Byf, well considering that Ikora is allowed to hold her ideology as a warlock and Cayde is a gambler, if Zavalla is not allowed to hold allegiance to the Stoneborn, Cayde should get kicked out immediately and Ikora shouldn't be allowed to hold her ideology. Perhaps we should elect 3 new Titans representing each Titan Order for the Vanguard if Zavalla hopes to represent the Stoneborn. Maybe we should elect 3 new warlocks and Hunters to balance it all out.

On my Titan I get into fist fights with high level reaver captains and imperial phalanxes for the fun of it.
Call me strange, but this is actually important to me.
All three of my Guardians are Titans and I'm invested in the City and in my free time, came up with a hundred different scenarios on what we would do if the Fallen, Hive, Vex, Cabal, or Taken were to invade. Half of them ended in failure. This allows me to see what has been done, and build upon those that came before.
Let their deeds be forever remembered by those who fight to defend the City from the Darkness.

Why only Titans?
I have one character and he's a Titan. Understandable.
As a Titan main I'm loving this tidbits of lore. You've got me fiending for that next Book of Sorrow video. Keep up the good work!
I can’t wait for like 10, 15 years from now when destiny finally comes to a close and we wrap the story of the darkness when someone makes and publishes a compendium of destiny lore. This book will be massive. But to do true justice to the lore, a fan needs to organize the lore to show how the lore slowly got shown. Don’t just start with “this is who he or she is” but rather have lore masters give interpretation to grimoire passages. After all the interpretations are given, then the later lore that might explain something more clearly then gets the same treatment. Finally, if we ever get an answer then those should be given last.
Talking to myself but; the story has always been there, but not even 1/10 is shown in the game itself, that's what pisses me off.

I like it to have a community that is revealing the lore in real time (almost), also there is so much to uncover, it would be boring to get that all thrown at you ingame.

Byf, it would be awesome if you could put EVERYTHING together in chronological order, like a book. After watching this story I just wanted to learn more about Titans and everyone involved, even wondered what cade-6 was like in battle. Awesome story, keep it coming.
Great lore! I really hope you can cover more about Lord Saladin Shaxx, and Zavala. Also this name in particular: Thalor. The Speaker sells a Titan mark Thalor's Golden Maul, and Shaxx sells Pandion Mark with his in reference to him; I could assume he is the one who excels in crucible and presumably wields a giant axe as his weapon of choice? Perhaps we are looking at another Titan subclass in the future?

Well, six years later, really less than that but I'm just now watching this video, we do indeed have a Sunbreaker sub subclass with a solar maul, and it is what I main
I feel like the Hunters would make a very interesting story. I haven't done much research myself. If Cayde-6 tells us anything about the other Hunters, I have a feeling that they're more along the lines of the Firebreak Titans. Cayde even said it himself. We belong in the wild.
Great job again Byf. I'm really enjoying the direction your channel is going and the emphasis on lore. I think its a shame Bungie didn't do a better job of telling these stories because they really are amazing but its great to so dedicated fans taking charge and showing the world what a deep story exists inside of Destiny.
Came to revisit this after "Curse of Osiris" dropped. It's amazing how close you got to the revealed lore around Osiris and Saint-14 but also interesting the relationships between what has been revealed around the Firebreak Order and Osiris's cult.

Probably one of my more favorite ones I love towards the end how you actually let your personality slip through definitely added a little Edge to it that was positive. I actually just became a main Titan in Destiny 2 so I really appreciate this video

I remember seeing a lore vid about the battle of six fronts and it was said that there was only 3 titans orders, 2 orders defended opposing sides of the city where the threat was the heaviest, the third order split into two and defended the two sides with the lesser threat. it was how supposedly the design for the mark of the titans originated. two whole diamonds on the top and bottom. a "split" diamond in the middle"

After seeing Bungie has kind of mixed up the Titan identity a little bit it's always comforting to see some of the older lore videos talking about those more bold moments from Titan's history in the game, I'm glad they brought Salone back and they're doing some interesting stuff with Zavala now but I hope we get to see even more Titans in action like Shaxx Saint and Saladin but definitely some new Titan characters it'd be interesting to see the remnants of the sunbreakers in some shape or form honestly kind of a mysterious part of the Titan lore very well hidden and have secret ties to Mercury

+K BISH I do too. Although I've leveled all three to 40, Hunter was my first and honestly I feel like it's the best. It doesn't need to rely on overpowered Arc storms and fiery hammers to get the job done. And I feel like all of the builds are situational but very useful.

not all of us have the time needed to dive as deep into the lore as and many others do! personaly i only read grimoire crads due to lack of time! thats why i apritiate the work that u and other lore youtubers do! +1 thumbs up ^_^

the cool thing is that you can see how these characters look by simply equiping the full armor set , of whichever lore it describes. like i have the full ps exclusive legendary gear that basically describes the hesperonauts that first colonized venus.

I know this is an ancient video, but it's worth noting for anyone that comes across this: the two orders we have confirmed at Six Fronts are Firebreak and Chain. The two most likely after that are Stoneborn and Pilgrim Guard, though that's not confirmed to my knowledge.

What are Titans always depicted as these hulking figures? Can you imagine a 3~4 foot ball of fury beating everything in there path to pulp? Though on that thought, what martial arts survived the collapse? Have any new ones been developed?

From the description and the little bit of info you've given, using the hint of the Caspian sea. I would like to point that it's probably the Caucasus Mountains. It's close to the Caspian sea, actually boarding one of it's edges, still technically in Russia and a lot of the pictures of it...do look slightly reminescent of the mountains. It's a fairly thick and long mountain range as well...could possibly work.

I remember from Vanilla Destiny that the Agema and Gatewatch armor pieces for Titans talked about their respective Orders. Don't care enough to look into it, but if we take those into account, there are more Orders out there.
Maybe the Pilgrim Guard is not an Order by itself, but rather a subdivision of one? Such as the Stoneborn Order?
Little known fact: Shaxx and Saladin were once very close. What broke their bond however was that Shaxx was Saladins student and after Twilight Gap, Saladin said that they should stay and defend the city but Shaxx disagreed and led a charge on the fallen using the last of the combat robot things they had. So to me it sounds like Shaxx was a firebreak and Saladin was a stonebound Titan. Just my opinion lol.
You should do a video on Oryx's origin. My friend had a cool theory with some support (that I can't remember) about how a Oryx was once a guardian, the Hive called him to be their king and was infected with darkness. He resurrected his dead son and etc., but I can't remember it all
Thank you!! This is what I have been looking for. I love titan as I am a fighter and veteran, however I could never really get into them based on lore, it is a nitpick sure but enough to annoy me. For instance a titan breaking the defense and leaving the city for the forsaken campaign or even the new pirate season. Plus all the shady things with drifter as well as stasis. It seemed strange to me. I get it as a warlock or a hunter. Not so much as a titan. I always think holy paladin. However hearing there are essentially barbarian style titans that break away to fight I find a new found insight and want to play them.

If you look out from the Tower onto the City, you see mountains in the distance. Those mountains look a lot like the Caucuses that are between the Black Sea and the Caspian. Google them.
The Last City is near the Cosmodrome. U can see it from the Cayde's Stash mission.

Byf will you ever do a Hunters lore. They have so many great stories and they seem to be so brave and intakes about in lore videos outside of Dredgen Yor and Shin Malphur
Byf you’re bold to assume I can count as a titan main
People can complain about the game having little to no story, but it has a very rich history. Keep in mind that your guardian will one day be apart of this great history and most likely play one of the greatest parts. The Dark Souls games like to tell stories with item descriptions (The world around you is just what's happening at the moment) and that's one reason why I love those games. Interesting NPCs and game HISTORY is what makes the game world fun for me and one day Bungie will have that game world for Destiny.
As a person who mains warlock and titan(Mostly warlock), I hope to see more lore videos about them, quite interesting to listen to, especially warlocks.
Quick thought about the 3 hive siblings, Oryx,Savathun and Xivu Arath. I think they are a dark mirror to the 3 destiny classes as aspects.
Titans are aspect of war/strategy.
warlocks are aspect of wisdom/cunning.
Hunters are pathfinders/navigators.
what do you think? anything deeper there?

I honestly think that The City is in Colorado. Those mountains - specifically Shiane Mountain (Spelling might be off) - are definitely American. Also there is already a Military base there. Plus also being able to get Texan artifacts would be very hard if you weren't nearby.

Also, I kinda thought the First Pillars were more of a Memorial Hall of the Greats sort of list, not a Titan Order in their own right. That each piece of gear to the First Order is not worn in membership of that order but in memorial of those assorted legends that fought and died.
Eris morne mentions the names of all five guardians that fell during the first Crotas end raid when you defeat darkblade in his strike
To me, the Firebreakers sound like they were run by the child of a Titan and a Hunter.

Hey, I've heard calculations made that place the Last City in the vicinity of Chile. I think maybe Jagi's host, headed as they were for the Caspian sea, might've been involved in some efforts in taming or equalizing the Cosmodrome enough that other guardians might get there and hold the position. Also, as best we can tell, these were Guardians of remarkable light-- it might not be that unreasonable to think they might have done so, starting out from the City to trek all the way to the Caspian.

Also the city (through geography trigonometry sun position and cryptarch chatter) is 29°S by 73.5°W give or take 1° in either direction in the upper foothills of the Andes mountains somewhere between Chile and Argentina and the tower is at the northeast end of the 6 fronts

TBH, i always knew the city was somewhere in/near Europe considering there is a huge wall that spans across for miles in the Cosmodrome, which is old Russia (which I always thought was the divide between the city and the Cosmodrome). But I guess now we have an even better understanding where the city geographically is located.
i am fascinated by sneajy hunters killing enemies rapidly and with style, and by warlocks being so elegant
but still, headbutting everything is my thing
