  • Supermodel Carré Otis is coming out with a new memoir titled Beauty, Disrupted, where she candidly writes about everything from her past drug use and an eating disorder to her notoriously volatile relationship with ex-husband Mickey Rourke.According to Otis, it was something like love at first sight between the two when they met during her audition for the 1990 film Wild Orchid."I think that that initial meeting was an immediate familiarity," she tells correspondent Christina McLarty. "It was sort of recognition of somebody who I knew there was an incredible charge with, and energy between. So in a way it was that 'dangerous at first sight' ...and now I think, I know better -- those are the red flags." (ETonline.com)

She was such a drug user, she almost destroyed his life.. I read that way before she did this.. She was extremely abusive to him.. Not all men are the abusers...

I read Carrie's book and the truth is she was involved in heavy duty drugs going all the way back to her early teen years - she had led an extremely choatic life long before she met Rourke. She was a heroin addict which she doesn't talk about in these interviews and that was a big source of friction between her and Rourke. Both Carrie and Mickey were extremely messed up and emotionally wounded - I guess that's why they got married. At least Rourke isn't using the past to sell himself.

If you need to heal why do it in the spotlight? And by trashing somebody else?

She was so out of her head on heroine and drugs at the time of her relationship with Mickey. He loved her very much but her addictions broke up their marriage.

You know , she should be ashamed cause she's being purposely hurtful and especially to Micky who has been abused a lot as a kid; Micky told that he only beat up the guys who were supplying her heroine and did drugs with her , that she was high on drugs all the time she couldn't even remember what was going on.

Let's set the record straight, Yes Mickey was no saint and he had a drinking problem and anger issues. Carrie was just as bad if not worse, she hit Mickey and also she was a terrible heroin junkie. That is one of the reasons why Mickey is not with her anymore, that is why Carrie disappeared for so many years and no one remembers her anymore. Just as well, I looked in her eyes in this interview and I can tell she is lying and exaggerating. Mickey has turned his life around, and has a good heart.

I wouldn't pin the problem or blame on either one of them. They were each both abusive and abused, but there was no one villain, they were sick, addicted, damaged human beings. The only difference I can see here is that Mickey is acknowledging this and owning his own issues. Carre is still trying to shift the whole blame onto him. They victimized each other, yes, but more importantly, they were doing it first to themselves. Carre needs to correctly and evenly apportion responsibility.

    Why can't anyone spell heroin? It's h e r o i n ( drug), h e r o i n e (female hero). There.

Yup. That's what I try to tell people. He openly admits he loves her but the way she speaks about him, she never loved him at all.

She's a has-been and is misrepresenting her role with Mickey. She is a junkie. Funny how she doesn't mention that.
