I always hated Wuhans, their "character" sounds to me like a stack made of broken cymbals with rivets taped onto them. From these four here, the Istanbul appeals to me the most, it's still got enough brilliance, glassiness and ring to it to make it pleasant sounding on its own, but still has a very nice bite.
Out of the 4: I'm tied between the 19" far left and the Istanbul. I own a 16" Wuhan I've had for 19 years no cracks or keyholing. Sounds great and has been to hell and back. The Wuhan here sound good but did nothing for me.
The Wuhan cymbal will work better with a popped out snare. The Istanbul will be better in your setting. In this case I prefer the midrange Istanbul in place of the high pitched Wuhan
Wuhan all the way. Personally I’ve been using the Wuhan’s since the late 90’s and I can’t find anything else that sounds like them. Zildjians are kinda close and Sabian oh hell no. Meinl do have decent special effects cymbals.

Firefox 62 Yeah that was another good one. I guess they didn’t sell that well. They only kept maybe 2 cymbals from the Z line. Mega Bell Ride and the Ultra Hammered China, both of which were merged into the A line.
The Wuhan is clearly Superior to all of them and probably $50 less. I have their 8 and 10-inch splashes which I only spent about $30 for the pair of them and they sound great.
The problem with Wuhans, although they sound fantastic, is that they are far louder than traditional cast and lathed cymbals. It's hard to get a good balance volume-wise with your crashes and hats.
Great demo. Nice to hear a simple pocket beat and not some little oik thrashing the hell out of his double bass drum pedal set up whilst demoing cymbals!
the zildjian on the bottom left is awesome, thrashy and dirty without a total "cut" to the groove, i like it, the wuhan is amazing, the most thrashy agressive cutting cymbal of all (best price/quality ratio), the zildjian on the right its not really my style... Its amazing quality wise, but just not good for my taste, its "too clean" and the instanbul.... well... It sounds like crap xD
They all suck in my opinion. I had to buy a China from Meinl the MB 20 to be exact. It's one of the most beautiful China's I've ever heard. It takes a beating like you wouldn't believe. I've had it for 10 years now and I play brutal
Edgard Resende yeah that is true. I do like the 18in Oriental China and the 18 inch a custom China. Those will be my go-to China whenever my Meinl cracks.. And maybe the 19 inch K hybrid China
