Let's take an in-depth look at 3 sizes of Zildjian's popular FX Oriental China Trashes. The sound of a cymbals can vary greatly based on the size (especially the pitch) and this should give you a good idea of what size is right for you. The 3 cymbals we'll be looking at are: * 18 inch Zildjian Oriental FX China Trash: amzn.to/3u7BIwe * 16 inch Zildjian Oriental FX China Trash: amzn.to/3U9BBLc * 12 inch Zildjian Oriental FX China Trash: amzn.to/3SwyBY4 *If you purchase through the above links, I'll make a tiny commission. That'll make me super happy, as I could buy more drums!*
I've played many symbals so far, but the sound of the oriental china symbal of 18 inches is truly real. It's amazing that I've realized a sound mechanism that other brands probably can't imitate
One of the best reviews I’ve ever seen. Torn between 16 and 18 before watching this and now I’m convinced I need to look at the 18. Totally concur on the pitch.
They also used to make the Zildjian FX Oriental Classic China line of cymbals. Those are really really cool. The hammering is the same on those, but they feature a much larger lip.

Yeah, it's a nice mix of A custom and K.

Thanks!
Thanks for the in-depth demo. That 16 sounds great
You're welcome!

Cool, I don't think I've had a chance to try that before. It sounds like the sized lip on the Ultra Hammered China though?
@@drumdrumdrum a bit, yeah. That comes from the lip size. The Oriental Classic cymbals sound trashier than the Ultra Hammered though.
I dig the 16. Shocking. I thought I would like the 18 better. My go to is a 17” K
Great review, thank you
You're welcome!
I own the 18 inch and love it rings for miles almost like a gong
18" sounded the best
My thoughts exactly!
