I just saw another channel on a hardware 4 model x testing FSD in New York in the same rain as you and he didn’t get the red hands at all. It might be you have some fog or condensation built up in the forward facing camera compartment which is a common issue causing the red hands disengagement. I’m pretty sure it’s a quick service appointment to fix though. Thanks for all the content 😅
Of course! Yeah I saw the same video too. I definitely think it's the cameras. But even with the newest update, it is supposed to tell me if something is wrong with my cameras but it doesn't show anything. I'll get it checked out next time I go in for service.
@@JustAnotherTeslaGuy so still garbage FSD on HW4 and 13.2 in bad weather..Tesla fails again..and FYI cameras will never work in strong enough fog, as it can't clear the cameras to any good. I'm on HW3 and fog caused about 50% of the 16 or so FSD deaths i've experienced in the last year about. i want my money back Tesla..fraud posters *mars man, etc. never show fog videos.
@00:10 is a prime example of the zoo that is NY. You see someone maneuvering in/out through a parking spot? Just casually jay walk right behind them and assume they will see you. Can't be bothered to cross at a crosswalk (which are everywhere), or even a static parked car.
5:10 FSD needs automated self-cleaning camera for side door cameras? The message "one or more side cameras are blocked" most probably means that the side cameras by the door pillars are obstructed by rain drops directly hitting and/or smearing/fogging-up the camera lens. Easy for humans to track all the individuals hidden but hard for computer vision to do 12:51 FSD did not back up and re-adjust its turning path when it detected object in front. FSD usually figures out narrow turns by doing 3-point or multi-point turns. 23:32 whole mars video show that FSD 13.2 can solve this same situation. ua-cam.com/video/BQFFmFuepCM/v-deo.html
Show this to whole mars catalog who claims it is almost perfect. Heavy rain, snow, and direct sunlight hopefully they have some tricks or especial training for it plus somehow automatic cleaning of cameras. Or it is somehow your car cameras as I have seen another video in nyc in rain and FSD did extremely well.
Could definitely be my cameras. But the settings menu in the car didn't show anything wrong with them. I'll get them checked out the next time I go in for service.
_FSD did well with all the traffic, but couldn't handle the heavy rain and had to disengage a few times cause it couldn't see._ Human eyes can see just fine thru the windshield, even in very heavy rain. Humans can easily read signs like ROAD CLOSED or DO NOT ENTER. FSD cannot read and understand those signs. FSD is nothing like a human driver. It is just a buggy Level 2 assistant.

Excellent stress test mate. No hype, just reality! 👌🏼. Ps. How do you get LED to flash green with blinker?
Thank you for the support! I'm using the S3XY buttons and their newest update gives me the option to have the ambient light blink with blinkers

Lol when you're in NYC, everyone that's walking thinks they have the right of way
I love how you don't push and promote FSD to everyone!

Great video! I think we need to factor in extra wiperblades and wiper motor replacement when driving with FSD. 😅

Did you check your camera?
Yeah. In menu settings didn't say anything was wrong with the cameras.
