Please somebody explain Thomas that animals are not slaughtered solely for their skin. Animal skin for seats and other interior parts is taken from animals which are used for meat anyway. If you don't use their skin for things like seats it will be wasted. There is no killing for human pleasure going on, it's just using as much parts of animal as possible. On the other hand using fake leather means using plastic thus polluting air, soil and water more.
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ua-cam.com/video/S1aNZeoatmE/v-deo.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ua-cam.com/video/6vXePQi_MAk/v-deo.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest: www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? Remember that animal skin leather is no different to fur, fur is just leather where the hair is still on. And fur is widely not accepted for clothing anymore, and of course not for cars. We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future. For a great insight into sustainability in the automotive industry, you can also check out our extensive documentary: ua-cam.com/video/-8gNXlRGngA/v-deo.html The argument that leather is merely a "waste" product of the food industry and therefore ethical or sustainable has been a topic of debate, and there are several reasons why it is considered problematic and unethical: 1. Leather is a Profitable Co-Product, not a Byproduct. * Leather is not a waste material. It is a valuable co-product of the meat and dairy industries, meaning that the skins and hides of animals are sold for profit. The global leather industry is worth billions of dollars, and the demand for high-quality leather, particularly for luxury goods, is significant. * Economic Contribution: By buying leather, consumers are directly contributing to the profitability of the meat and dairy industries, reinforcing demand for animal farming. Leather adds financial value to the slaughter of animals, which in turn incentivizes the continuation of intensive animal agriculture. 2. Encourages the Environmental Impact of Animal Farming * Environmental Harm: Animal farming is a leading cause of environmental degradation. It contributes to deforestation, water pollution, and is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. The leather industry, as part of this system, intensifies the environmental impact. * Tanning Process: Leather production itself is extremely resource-intensive and involves harmful chemicals like chromium, which can pollute water sources and harm ecosystems and communities living near tanneries. The argument that leather is a "waste" deflects from these significant environmental costs. 3. Supports Cruel Animal Farming Practices * Factory Farming: Most leather comes from animals raised in factory farms where they endure inhumane conditions-such as overcrowding, mutilation (dehorning, tail docking), and often brutal slaughter practices. * Leather Sources Beyond Cattle: It’s important to note that leather is not only sourced from cows. Other animals such as pigs, sheep, goats, and even exotic animals like crocodiles and snakes are often killed specifically for their skins. In some cases, animals are bred solely for leather production, especially in the case of exotic leathers. 4. Leather’s Role in the Global Meat and Dairy Supply Chain * The "Chicken and Egg" Relationship: The leather industry is deeply intertwined with the meat and dairy supply chains. It is misleading to claim that leather is merely a waste product when in reality it adds value to the entire system. The more leather that is purchased, the more profitable it becomes for the animal agriculture industry to keep raising and slaughtering animals. * Ethical Disconnect: From an ethical standpoint, using leather under the assumption that it’s “just waste” ignores the larger systemic issues of animal exploitation. It perpetuates a cycle where animals are bred, confined, and slaughtered in massive numbers, not just for meat but also for profit from their hides. 5. There Are Viable, Sustainable Alternatives * Innovation in Vegan Leathers: Today, there are numerous cruelty-free, sustainable alternatives to animal leather, such as pineapple leather (Piñatex), mushroom leather, apple leather, and even lab-grown leather. These options do not involve the same ethical, environmental, or health concerns as traditional leather production. * Sustainability Argument: Many leather alternatives are far more environmentally friendly. For instance, plant-based and recycled materials often require fewer resources and generate less pollution compared to the production of leather from animal hides, which requires heavy water and energy consumption and the use of toxic chemicals in tanning. 6. Moral and Ethical Considerations * Devaluing Animal Lives: By framing leather as a “waste” product, it downplays the intrinsic value of animal lives and reduces sentient beings to mere commodities. This perspective is often criticized for failing to acknowledge the rights of animals to live free from exploitation and harm. * Speciesism: The belief that animals can be farmed for their skins because their lives are less important than human needs or luxury goods can be seen as a form of speciesism-the assumption that human interests always take precedence over the welfare of other species, even when non-leather alternatives are available. 7. Global Impact on Communities * Health Risks to Workers: Many leather tanneries, especially in developing countries, expose workers to unsafe chemicals like chromium salts. These chemicals can cause severe health issues, including cancer, respiratory problems, and skin conditions. Communities near tanneries often suffer from polluted water and land. * Environmental Justice: Often, the communities that are most affected by the environmental harm of the leather industry are poor and marginalized. These populations bear the brunt of the environmental degradation, even though the demand for leather comes largely from wealthier consumers in more developed countries. The idea that leather is a "waste" product from the food industry is misleading and unethical because it ignores the significant role that leather plays in the profitability of animal farming, the environmental degradation it causes, the cruelty inherent in the industry, and the availability of sustainable alternatives. To label leather as mere "waste" downplays its substantial impact on both animals and the environment, making this argument a way to justify the continued use of an ethically and environmentally problematic material.
Luckily, they decided to keep real skin instead of faked. Luxury with fake plastic leather is not luxury at all. If you are so for the eco leather then, I guess you should study topics about lithium mining and stop talking about ev being eco friendly...

I just have to give in and admit it that the Chinese now make great cars. They seem to have overcome the old "Chinesy" and "shiny-shiny" designs. The new designs are nice and mature. Technology-wise, they are also doing very good, all the while improving. Nice review!
this is what i call a good interior quality. every single detail looks solid and expensive. even the window controls. bmw, mercedes, audi should watch learn instead of more costcutting
If my name started with V and ended with olkswagen I’d be crappin my pants. I like the Nio in every aspect, the design is 10/10. The only issue for me is that there aren’t enough retailers or a workshop network that I trust. If something goes wrong with the car, how easy is it to get help? Also insurance becomes an issue, usually the price will be off the charts for this type of car. We need some Chinese insurance companies to open up here to offer a full program to offer a truly smooth experience all the way and not only a sublime car. Tesla has sort of achieved that in Europe except for the insurance part.
In my opinion it’s a simple answer. If legacy brands continue to give up the soul of cars and go full EV the Chinese will crush them. If they go back to their roots then they’re safe.
I think what he means is that in the past luxury was easier to spot. Materials, engines and brand reputation made something feel special, appealing and desirable. Luxury is of course a very subjective term, which for me translates into “unnecessary but desirable.” But I can relate with the original comment - I have the same problem, I find most designs and products unnecessary (square steering wheel is a prime example) but more importantly I personally find them undesirable. I cant explain why but there is no childish need, fantasies, dreams or emotions that would make me buy modern cars (Chinese and European). They are all different but still feel and look like they are the same - feels like all try to copy tesla ideas. (Again my personal view) I need to choose for electric due to company policies but so far electric cars have not managed to spark a single emotion in me…
everything on the car comes as standard on the car, and every single thing is of best quality. this is how you should sell a car. honest and worth your money.
The thick bezel around the infotainment screen on modern Mercedes cars is enough to stop me from buying them. It's unfortunate that Chinese cars are prevented from entering the North American market.
Yes the Germans should be afraid. I get that the Germans needs all the screens screens screens to be able to sell in China but they have already lost that market and will not be able to compete in price. However as a European I bought Audi & BMW because I didn't want the Tesla "everything in screen" experience but something more premium. Now the Germans try to to the same thing. The interiors was better 5 years ago in all German cars. If they don't offer something better they will lose the European market soon as well. My lease on current BMW 330e will end in May and after 4 new Audi/BMWs in the last 10 years I'm not so sure I will get a new one.
Thanks for another excellent informative presentation but I think instead of introducing Thomas autogefuhl it should be Thomas and Leah autogefuhl as you're a good team.😊
The Germans, who sell every feature as an option, shouldn't have produced cars anyway. They are too arrogant. The Americans will survive under Tesla's leadership. As for the Japanese, they are still busy marketing hibrit vehicles to their customers. They haven't developed any technology for twenty years.
Seeing F-Type in the rear 3/4 shots. You can tell why Jaguar is getting out of the premium market and into the luxury market, now Chinese cars are coming to challenge the German establishment.
Interesting that BMW's latest design direction is blamed on Chinese tastes, but Chinese domestic companies make cars that look the opposite of what BMW offers.
Just crazy when you think that it only took a decade to the chinese automakers to really catch up and then overtake the most popular european brands with some 100+ years of history and heritage. I don't even mention the american brands cause they are so irrelevant quite frankly😅😅
Concidering how the latest generations of all western cars are falling apart on the showroom floor, I would say it is more up to the service being available and the brand still existing, rather than if they are robust.
Europeans still make fun of Chinese cars. Truth is, they're evolving at lightspeed rate and we are way, way behind in the dust... If I was Toyota, Stellantis or VW, I would be extremely worried. Their EVs are far, far behind Nio.
Unfortunately, the best weapon China is using is the PRICE. If european producers are not slashing the price by a lot (i mean their profit margins), and improve the quality, they will go slowly but shurely down!
@gorgeouscfso they are discounting them there but not in the european market. That is the recepy for "success" and "keeping" their home industry alive.
The Germans and Europeans at large plus the Americans have to stop charging a premium for less car. the Chinese are depending largely on robots besides their verticle integration to provide affordable cars which are even better than the competition.
I have an Xpeng G9 Performance and would seriously consider this as my next luxury car. I also prefer the current Genesis G90 over the S Class and latest BMW 7 Series. Badge snobbery means very little to me vs features and product quality. This vehicle looks impressive!
The only thing of interesting fact(from my perspective, of course) is the battery replacement technique. The problem being, looking for such spots in/out of your city and then giving up and spending 4h looking at the sky while charging. 100k euro will place me in a fully specced BMW 430i with enough money left to tour europe.
Is it just me that I felt like the door handle side buttons in Chinese vehicles can be improved in color design? They just reminded me of kitchen appliances made from China with the rose gold.

@@autogefuehl Ok, first thoughts. This thing is good, really good. Design is top notch, visual quality is top notch, from visual standpoint engeniering seems solutions seem to be very well thought and implemented. This is at the level of european manufacturing if not a little better already with what will compete in terms of pricing. But only a driving test will tell. This is more oriented to a upper luxury market than to ordinary s class/7 series/audi a8/panamera. My guess it will cost in europe between 130/150k euros it will do max 400km in real life. The new audi a8 is almost out lets see what comes out but this things is good. Then there's the question of sustainability from Chinese manufacturers which i think 100% denied to supply any data from their supply chain and hand labor to amnesty international in the latest survey. Theres more and more suspicion of forced labor on factories of suppliers to all these chinese brands, and we all know it being the big one batteries, especially with CATL. BYD and EVE Energy. I'm not gonna even talk about the sourcing of the raw materials because thats on everydays news, the transition in china, or in europe or in the us is not occurring without us killing and displacing millions of innocent people in congo and sudan especially. But these companies do not provide any data from where they source their materials or suppliers, meaning they have very sustainability. Mercedes is the one that has provided more data on the latest year, followed by tesla. The worse were Hyundai/kia, and we praise them everyday for having the ev3. Their sales are composed of 94% fossil fuel cars yearly! I agree when you you say its germans fault that people are getting fired because these germans did not pay attention to chinese cars early enough. It is. But you have to mention that the people that are being fired have absolutely no fault on these germans, and you have to mention these germans are the directors of the boards of the german brands, politicians, shareholders, only think about profit. These people that are getting fired should not be fired, the ones being fired and probably more than that should be the ones running these companies. Theres no accountabillity for anything. Wheres the compensation for European consumers for what vw and others did when deciving consumers and states with emissions? Why is there a arrest warrant for some board members of vw group in the US and not in Europe? Why do have workers to pay with their jobs for these grocery store level directors lack of intelligence and arrogance? This is exactly exactly what happen to nokia and motorola when the iphone came out, anyone could see this coming.
How does the paint quality impression compare to BMW , Mercedes etc.. I always found the quality not the same level.. REMEMBER the old Mercedes W124 500E the paint looked like it had 10 coats.. it still looks good today
@@tinygyaantalesyes, you can’t deny reality for ever, Mercedes Needs the Chinese market, they literally sold zero EQB electric cars last month there, this is forcing them to be really innovative
It doesn’t have the same appeal to me as German automakers, but I do hope the lower price keeps pressure on western automakers, which have lost their minds.
Do you and the people who like your comments live in the Stone Age? Most of them have 5 star euro ncap rating. And of course when you see Chinese car getting those ratings, you would then say NCAP doesn’t mean anything.
@ I am simply asking whether they have the rating. No idea why you think I live in the Stone Age. I have a new Volvo which is built in China. No need for abuse. Maybe calm down a bit.
The China EVs and the new stuff they are coming up with is quite efficient in every sense of the way - its more car for the money lol. Is that fierce competition I smell finally for brands like BMW, Audi, Merc, etc?
For the sake of all that is German, fast and beautiful, please make energy cheap again, save your companies from bankruptcy, please save your car industry now before it's too late or maybe it already.
It is nonsense to say that the Chinese build better cars than Germans, it is just that if you don't have any competitor you won't make such a car even if you can. The question is do German brands have enough time to keep up with Chinese hard-working workers and "Chinese Bureaucracy"

Are those chinese cars so popular in EU? In times of major German car manufacturers experience problems I would not popularise chinese cars so much. What do you think, Thomas? I know only you keep reviewing them in Europe (maybe there are other popular car reviewers, but I am not subscribed to them. yet).
Why Western car manufacturers don't invest in technology like Chinese ones? What's wrong at the moment, VW feels cheap and with hard plastics everywhere for example. The technology is even worse?

thanks my friend!
I really don't think this looks like Porsche at all. Seems like a very original design really.

A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html

For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest:
www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html
In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter.

The argument that leather is merely a "waste" product of the food industry and therefore ethical or sustainable has been a topic of debate, and there are several reasons why it is considered problematic and unethical:
2. Encourages the Environmental Impact of Animal Farming
* Environmental Harm: Animal farming is a leading cause of environmental degradation.
3. Supports Cruel Animal Farming Practices
* Factory Farming: Most leather comes from animals raised in factory farms where they endure inhumane conditions-such as overcrowding, mutilation (dehorning, tail docking), and often brutal slaughter practices.
4. Leather’s Role in the Global Meat and Dairy Supply Chain
* The "Chicken and Egg" Relationship: The leather industry is deeply intertwined with the meat and dairy supply chains.
5. There Are Viable, Sustainable Alternatives
* Innovation in Vegan Leathers: Today, there are numerous cruelty-free, sustainable alternatives to animal leather, such as pineapple leather (Piñatex), mushroom leather, apple leather, and even lab-grown leather.
6. Moral and Ethical Considerations
* Devaluing Animal Lives: By framing leather as a “waste” product, it downplays the intrinsic value of animal lives and reduces sentient beings to mere commodities.
7. Global Impact on Communities
* Health Risks to Workers: Many leather tanneries, especially in developing countries, expose workers to unsafe chemicals like chromium salts.
If you are so for the eco leather then, I guess you should study topics about lithium mining and stop talking about ev being eco friendly...

so refreshing to see a display without gigantic bezels as is the case with most cars ...
My friends in Beijing are replacing their Germans with domestic cars!
Now you see why!
What a car! Very nice and competitive in the segment, especially for the finishes.
This is insane, the design is also very cool. These guys ain't playing around.
Nio is definitely not messing around.
Audi, Mercedes and BMW are to busy sleeping, so of course they are not afraid, and dreaming about the good old days!
WOW.......I going to really hate tariffs....😠
Even without, the car costs about 100k euro.
@@thore8978 This car is the real deal.
Im sorry but when i saw the car rocking like that i for a moment thought Thomas and Lia had too much fun testing it xD
Seeing all these modern "luxury" cars I realize I don't know what luxury means anymore.
The manufacturers don't know either, as it used to be wood, leather, and well made fittings, now it's just screens and gimmicks.
Why? 🤔 This car is probably more luxurious than whatever car you are thinking from the last 20 years
Luxury means great ride quality, sound insulation, seating space, ambiance feeling etc. Just adding wood to the interior is not everything.
@@jimj2683 true
(Again my personal view)
I need to choose for electric due to company policies but so far electric cars have not managed to spark a single emotion in me…
Amazing car on both top quality and technology.
Will for sure have a good future if the support will be good in Europe.
everything on the car comes as standard on the car, and every single thing is of best quality. this is how you should sell a car. honest and worth your money.
The thick bezel around the infotainment screen on modern Mercedes cars is enough to stop me from buying them. It's unfortunate that Chinese cars are prevented from entering the North American market.
It is quite unfortunate that we have come to a point where the bezel of a screen is the defining factor when purchasing a vehicle.
8:37 Have Neo taken a look at the Autogefüel logo and though "Oh that's so classy" and etched their car into the b pillar of the ET9? 😅
hehe
Automatically-opening doors are such a waste of resources. Convenience gone mad
I feel the same about soft-close too.
As a Panamera owner, i don't see the resemblance ...
Because there is none.

Great job Thomas. Wow. So cheap for that kind of luxury
Thanks for another excellent informative presentation but I think instead of introducing Thomas autogefuhl it should be Thomas and Leah autogefuhl as you're a good team.😊
thanks so much =)
RIP American and German auto manufacturers.
Never buying chinese cars. Also because they are making only electric cars which honestly shame on EV cars
Not to mention those Japanese automakers such as Nissan and Honda.
The Germans, who sell every feature as an option, shouldn't have produced cars anyway. They are too arrogant. The Americans will survive under Tesla's leadership. As for the Japanese, they are still busy marketing hibrit vehicles to their customers. They haven't developed any technology for twenty years.
Nice 'Queen Wave' Lia, you are a true pro.
=)
Seeing F-Type in the rear 3/4 shots. You can tell why Jaguar is getting out of the premium market and into the luxury market, now Chinese cars are coming to challenge the German establishment.
Jaguar is dead lol
Interesting that BMW's latest design direction is blamed on Chinese tastes, but Chinese domestic companies make cars that look the opposite of what BMW offers.
If you’ve ever seen that old Bose suspension demo video with the LS400, the Nio ET9 is the first production car with that system
Manufacturers should be afraid of that electronic thing. Diesel or petrol-hybrid(not 1.5 or 1.8 engines) 2+ litres.
they shouldnt afraid but rather learn from them
It must look pretty funny from the outside when someone inside of Nio is watching a 5D movie while parked, with the car jumping from side to side 😂
Just crazy when you think that it only took a decade to the chinese automakers to really catch up and then overtake the most popular european brands with some 100+ years of history and heritage. I don't even mention the american brands cause they are so irrelevant quite frankly😅😅
It's such an interesting design -- it obviously remains to be seen how safe and robust these cars are long-term.
Concidering how the latest generations of all western cars are falling apart on the showroom floor, I would say it is more up to the service being available and the brand still existing, rather than if they are robust.
NIO literally builds the safest cars in the world from all data available, they crush every Western competition.
Thomas diplomacy: "You don't have to order Nomi." aka "Don't get it. It will go on your nerves." :)
😄
Europeans still make fun of Chinese cars. Truth is, they're evolving at lightspeed rate and we are way, way behind in the dust...
If I was Toyota, Stellantis or VW, I would be extremely worried. Their EVs are far, far behind Nio.
This car makes the BMW, Audi and Mercedes feel like a dinosaur
Chinese (gen x) may opt for premium marks for status / BMW/ Mercedes/ Porsche before now the gen Z are opting form Chinese luxury
Unfortunately, the best weapon China is using is the PRICE.
If european producers are not slashing the price by a lot (i mean their profit margins), and improve the quality, they will go slowly but shurely down!
German cars are heavily discounted in China and they’re still not selling. German cars are finished in China.
@gorgeouscfso they are discounting them there but not in the european market. That is the recepy for "success" and "keeping" their home industry alive.
@@gorgeouscfso So are the Japanese.
If it's rocking, don't come knocking 🤠🥳😈
😂😆
If this was MPV with 7 seats, no airride
I would drop the size of the Rims to 20".. 22 or 23 is way too big for sedan ride.. 😂
Why would you pick fully loaded 4 series with 4-cylinder for 100 grand... There are far better options for that money.
@@radoslav_march You're right, I guess it's just a personal preference.
Probably wont be 100 k for us in Europe... lets see
Where do you get 4h from?
On a separate note, i think these cars won't make sense till they are self driving.
Luxury buses for the few who can afford them. Most of the population(99% possibly)don't want or need them@@EwanM11
I think, German Greats have lately put as much effort (if not more), than Chinese, to make their offering more equal.
Hey Thomas, ich wollte dir mal sagen dass du ein Vorbild für mich bist! Frohe Weihnachten !! 😊
The car can throw it back, instant buy😎
Tbh the boss function, imagine having a business meeting while both in a heavy reclined position lol
Yes, its game changer ❤
Is it just me that I felt like the door handle side buttons in Chinese vehicles can be improved in color design? They just reminded me of kitchen appliances made from China with the rose gold.

6. Moral and Ethical Considerations
* Devaluing Animal Lives: By framing leather as a “waste” product, it downplays the intrinsic value of animal lives and reduces sentient beings to mere commodities.
7. Global Impact on Communities
* Health Risks to Workers: Many leather tanneries, especially in developing countries, expose workers to unsafe chemicals like chromium salts.
Not going to lie… the car looks amazing I want to drive one to see if it matches Audi’s and Porsche EV
This car to me shows everything I dislike about the modern car industry: boring design, useless gimmicks, screens everywhere, no emotion, no soul.
Finnally, lets see for real and understand what this thing can do.
yes exactly thats what we are doing and should do
@@autogefuehl Ok, first thoughts.
Heads up for matching your outfit to the color of the car. 😁
First Chinese EV I am seeing that has a design which could be considered desirable in Europe.
If the NIO is a rockin' don't come a knockin'
😂😆
Very interesting and well appointed luxury vehicle. Its too bad we won't see it here in the USA
That brand is the future
That logo looks like Citroen. When this hits the european roads, for sure there will be people that will say its a Citroen ET9 😂
The front lights look similar to those in my OMODA C5, so I like them!!!
How does the paint quality impression compare to BMW , Mercedes etc.. I always found the quality not the same level.. REMEMBER the old Mercedes W124 500E the paint looked like it had 10 coats.. it still looks good today
nice car...good review...you and Lia looks good together...very happy for you guys...power couple...
Tariffs will kill off the US market
Hello "Carfeeling", gibt es dieses Video auch auf deutsch?
Germans : The economy is down. People losing jobs
Also, Germans : Compare Chinese cars with Germans.
The reason people are losing jobs is because Germans didnt pay enough attention to Chinese vehicles early enough
@autogefuehl so you give more attention now ?
@@tinygyaantalesyes, you can’t deny reality for ever, Mercedes
Needs the Chinese market, they literally sold zero EQB electric cars last month there, this is forcing them to be really innovative
@@autogefuehl it's a bit more complicated than that.
Hmm, it seems on your book, market economy only means when you’re dominating and losing the competition is bad thing 😅
Don’t be a sour loser.
It doesn’t have the same appeal to me as German automakers, but I do hope the lower price keeps pressure on western automakers, which have lost their minds.
It will be really interesting to see the NCAP rating of all these Chinese cars.
Most of them have already scored 5 stars. Its on the Euro Ncap youtube page
That's a masterpiece
I think this looks nothing like the Panamera. For me, the Nio looks better with its shorter front and rear overhangs
Cars shouldn’t be longer than 5 meters
Very interesting and futuristic luxury car…
very good, but at the end - its the brand ;-)
no fans meeting in guangzhou?
We all know the answer to the question...
RIP BMW
这个车才有豪华电动车的影子,跟奔驰有的一拼。
而且坚持换电,创业者的公司,非常值得尊敬!!
Beautiful
600kW charging 🤯
It is nonsense to say that the Chinese build better cars than Germans, it is just that if you don't have any competitor you won't make such a car even if you can. The question is do German brands have enough time to keep up with Chinese hard-working workers and "Chinese Bureaucracy"

Is this shot in EU or in China?
Please try the Xiaomi SU7 while you are in China !
Car goes up
Car goes down
Car goes up
Car goes down
A car designed by Homer Simpson. We've been here before
😂😆
Ok, so if you own a newish German ICE car, sell it soon. It will be worthless in 2 years time
The same price as for shitty skoda superb or maxed out peugeot 508
Yes.
Waiting for perfectionist engineers to better integrate the roof's protruding “horns” into the body.
2:18 " The length is a little bit longer than the long wheelbase version of the Mercedes S class and a bit shorter than the BMW 7 series. "
Actually both are longer than the Nio.
The S class only a bit with 5.336 meters, the 7 series quite substantially with 5.39 meters.
ye right the S-Class LWB is almost the same, just the S-Class SWB is shorter
So you came to China for this? Have you tried some other Chinese Evs?
The fear starts at 200 km/h ...
Looks like the audi sphere a8 concept
Audi needs to go back to cool design again versus anonymous blobs that look Chinese for double the price
Audi, BMW and Merc cannot compete with this. The Chinese will dominate them.
