Any time you are gathering sticks or twigs for crafts, take a roasting bag along and drop them in that. At home, bake in the bag at 350 Fahrenheit for fifteen minutes so you kill insects, their eggs, mold, fungus, and all that other natural stuff that lives on or under bark. Thanks! It wasn't so bad. I wanted the wand to look rough and natural. McGonagall's wand is great. And as much as I hate Umbridge, her wand was kind of cool too.

I love those wands you made, I have been making them with a Dremel for years, and seeing you make them with a box cutter, and came out great...My favorite wand is the Elder wand, also Snape's too, and Sirius's wand too, that was a bit long to make with all the ruins in it.. but gave it away, and will re do one again... but in Fantastic Beasts, love Nicolas Flamel's wand... So antique looking and different from all the others, I will try to make that one soon...!!!

I love Luna Lovegood's wand and Hermiones one, they are so cute. This tutorial is just amazing, other ones I watched were made with chopsticks and pencils but using a wood stick seems quite better, even if you have you work more on it!

this is so cool. i dont have much money so i own a paper wand i made myself now, i glued paper and shape it like wand and use clear tape on it. its hard enough just like wood texture but dont have really nice color tho.

I highly recommend watching your fingers whilst cutting. Not paying attention hurts! 🩹 🔪
BTW florist bricks can be used and easily cut to size and moulded for each wand. I covered mine in green vevelt and used a shredded ribbon and some foam to cushion the wand. Btw the elder wand is one of the longest so if your box fits that with a bit of room to spare it will fit most others.

Word of advice for ones making a wand it is better to use a potato shaver since it automatically gives the right carve angle and you can use a box opener to cut of branches that get in the way of the wand since you cant cut the stub with your potato shaver. Shave razors work too.
