I love, love, love this idea! Just one question though. I've seen various people using tea and coffee to age their pages and, honestly, I can't see myself investing a lot of time and effort into making this without asking what you think. We go to so much trouble to make sure our paper and adhesives are acid free, how will the pages stand up in time after being aged with this way? Will it make them brittle or put them at higher risk of mildew or bugs? I want to maket this really bad, but I would hate for it to fall apart after a year or two :S Hope someone can answer!
Hey there, I've noticed that you use a lot of different adhesives for your projects, could you do a video on substitutes for the adhesives that you use. For Example: for PVA, a substitute would be a extra strength glue stick, or iron-on adhesive could be double sided tape or something along those lines. I would love to see a video on this as I am unable to find Iron-on Adhesive in my local craft stores.

Kabrielle F. Jones Construction paper works, but personally I wouldn't use it because it usually fades and isn't archival (yellows over time). You could try nice drawing paper if you are looking for something thick. Hope that helps!
BTW, YOU THE BEST!!!! Keep on making these great tutorials!!! They are so worth it. Some of the other DIY videos from the other youtubers kind of just throw them all together and don't spend a lot of time on it so it looks flimsy but YOU DO GREAT!!! They do not at all look flimsy and I love them!!!

My only suggestion would be to support the covers with chipboard or cardboard, and then instead of adhering the Heat-n-Bond to the cover I would adhere it to tissue paper like in your other video. That way I feel the cover will glue more securely and it will last longer. Bending it (e.g., picking it up, etc.) is making the cover slowly fall off. I also added a ribbon to the middle. Again, thank you for the tutorial and I'm sure my friend will love the gift I made her!

I have to make a prop replica from my favorite movie for a final project. After a lot of research I am planning on doing something similar to this book tutorial. Thank you so much for this! I would have had no idea how to even start.
Love it, I changed 1 bit though. Instead of drawing on the design for corner pieces, I used small dabs of hot glue and let them dry for a 3D effect and painted them black. I also used a gold vinyl instead of the cardboard and paper and it turned out good i think.

You should do a tutorial on how to make a clamshell box! I'm learning how to make them in school, but I'll never remember how-especially with all the book cloth measurements. But the tutorials on youtube already are quite difficult to follow, and I know you could make a really intuitive one. They're very cool and are great for gifts (with or without books inside of them) :).

Your tutorials have been so helpful as I'm attempting to make my own Harry Potter inspired book! Would love to see a spell book or something like it if you ever get a chance...
You can also curve a spine after gluing it, making sure to get into the grooves then letting it dry. After that you can gently pound the pages with a hammer while it's still in the press to curve the spine. If you do this though, it's good to cover the spine again with another coat of glue and, for extra protection, a thin sheet of a flexible paper that's the width of the spine. :3

HOLY CRAP! This looks SO good and realistic! I've been on a Harry Potter Marathon lately. I would love to create this book but too much work! Maybe in the summer I will definitely try to create this :D It's amazing
