Hi Becky, I’m glad you did a video on the low sugar from sure jell. I decided to try that when I open the box there was no directions in it. There are no longer putting the directions in there. Had to go online and watch your video again thank you. The front of the box says recipes online. i’m 74 years old and I enjoy your videos very much. You are very knowledgeable and very professional. Thank you for all you do.
My Daughter from God just had this experience...what's up with no instructions in the Sure Jell Box? So glad I had a back up copy to read for her but honestly Becky's video was a much better help since it was her first time making lower sugar strawberry freezer jam. Thank you Becky!
Browsing through your comments it feels like you’re getting a lot more negativity and nitpicking. I just wanted to tell you that I think you are absolutely delightful and I very much appreciate your work. You’re a rockstar lady! 👏🙌👍
👏 The little one eats differently than adults that’s for sure. However when I was getting mine used to table food we ate, I used a ricer or food meal so they could eat the same as us as long as it was palatable for a toddler.
Hi Becky and friends! Becky, I would really love to see a video about how you maintain and prepare all of your various tools across all of your activities. For example, seasoning your ironware, washing your stainless, laundering gloves and spoons, sharpening knives and other blades, and so forth. I'm sure you've found some great tricks to ensuring your tools last a long time in the best shape possible.
Hi Becky, I live in an extremely busy city in Asia and always envy people living their lives in a homestead. I'd dream to have my farm and I spend days and days harvesting, preserving, enjoying my own produce. Your channel fulfils my impossible dream.
I appreciate how you show us substitutions we can use. Sometimes you just have to use what's on hand. I am always learning from your videos, keep up the great work
Hello, fantastic! Who doesn't love something in a bowl. Especially fun for kids too! I was just watching a gardening video and found out that when i was my rice you can actually use the water to water indoor and outdoor plants! Potato water is also good. I do not like wasting water so this was very useful. Thank you Becky for another wonderful video, love watching all the things that you do and love that i can find out about new ingredients i have never tried before. Hope your family has a fantastic weekend!
You give such amazing recipes! I’m going to make a simplified version of marry me chicken for dinner. ❤ Now with these recipes, I can’t wait to try them out. I just went to Costco yesterday and between that haul and the items in my pantry, I can make any of these ❤. Thank you for sharing and providing such gentle motivation. ❤
Hi Becky, thanks for this great video. My married daughter loves dinner in a bowl recipes! I’m definitely going to share this video with her. I can’t wait to try these yummy looking recipes. I’m going to order the Korean red pepper flakes now. Thanks for your great videos! You are very good at explaining why you do things a particular way, in a very professional yet friendly manner. That’s a difficult balance to achieve-teaching without preaching and you do an amazing job. Love your videos. Your number one in my book! ❤❤❤
Next time you make egg roll in a bowl, instead of using coleslaw mix try using Taylor Farms Asian chopped salad mix. It has carrots, savoy and green cabbage, celery, carrots, cilantro and green onions and you can use the little bags of wonton strips and sliced almonds to garnish your bowl- so good!
Made the first recipe about an hour ago cause didn't have any dinner inspiration till seeing this, and b/c I always have Asian sauces/condiments/spices at home - that first bowl was SOOOOOO GOOD. I added a jammy egg and that was the cherry on top. Have made a lot of your recipes Becky, and this is one my top 3 favorite UA-cam channels.
I recently discovered you on youtube! I love what you do and really enjoy getting ideas from your master organizational skills and loving your recipes. Thank you
it usually says on the rice packaging to wash the rice. They don't really do anything to the rice before packaging, so you don't really know what is exactly on the rice from the field. So you should definitely wash your rice
I love bowl dinners! These looked amazing! I love doing the onions with lemon juice for when I make mole! It’s so yummy over the sweet and spicy sauce.
Those korean red pepper flakes are wonderful. I guess I started right after you did at your recommendation. Rarely use regular pepper flakes or cayenne since. I'm on my second container and a little goes a long way.
Becky all these recipes look and sound good. Next weekend I am going to make your crockpot baked beans for our late 4th of July celebration. My husband has to work on the 4th. I also was trying to find your Cole slaw recipe but it's not on your scratch pantry recipes. I would love to make it also for the 4th. Cole slaw is one of my husband and kids favorites. Can you please tell me how you make the dressing for the Cole slaw. Love watching your videos.
I used to not wash my rice but after watching A Country Life Vlog and several others from Azerbaijan, I saw they did so I started washing mine from that point forward.
Thanks for some great ideas- made the Korean beef bowls last night and we loved it-the fresh pickled veggies were so good on it and I never would have thought to do that!
Hi Becky, in general rinsing rice is a good idea, but for sticky rice specifically I wouldn't rinse it as you WANT the starch for sticky rice. Love your recipes, can't wait to give some of these a try. I love your channel for keeping me out of recipe ruts! Also- your bread recipes have completely changed my life. I love them all!
I have been aching to try the quinoa bowl, and I made it tonight. It is fabulous! 💜 I’m making the hamburger bowl next week! Thank you for these recipes.
Becky Can you make a video on how to make “Beignets”. My grandma was French and made them for us kids. You are so good with making bread I would love to watch someone make them. I tried years ago and they were hard rocks dough did not rise. Thank you my friend.
Idk about the other bowls but I had already made skinnytaste’s sweet potato black bean bowl and that was a hit with my whole family, right down to my three year old grandbaby! Try that one ! Added jalapeños! Delish!
You know. That saying, measure twice cut once well.I think what you're looking for in a saying for your prep work would be like prep once, enjoy & incorporate as many times until you run out 😂. Loved these dishes!!
These meals look amazing! I'm definitely going to try a couple of them at least. Just my style. Great for using up garden produce and herbs... And my kids can separate everything if they don't Like all the food together 🤣
I love all these recipes! My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in Hood River in a couple of weeks, such a beautiful place. Have you been and do you have any restaurant recommendations for the area?
50:05 if you made this recipe truly vegetarian without the chicken stock; Cutting firm tofu the size and spice of the sweet potatoes and fill the pan ½ & ½ - that would be so delicious. When you pulled the sweet potatoes out of the oven, I was substituting ½ of it for tofu in my mind - yummm
I absolutely wash my rice, I remember when young (along time ago!) If rice was kept to long in pantry it would end up with bugs (rice weevils) even when packaged air tight. Now you can leave rice in pantry for years and no bugs. Makes me wonder what they are adding. I don't trust, not even organic, so yes I wash well, also canned beans which I rarely use but if need in an emergency meal and don't have any home canned....
Hi Becky, I absolutely LOVE your channel, are you willing to share the jars you are using for your spice rack, they are so nice looking!!! Thank you :)
My Husband and I eat most of our meals from a bowl it just seems easier, what I am always surprised about is how many American UA-camrs that I watch use paper plates it’s not a thing in the UK apart from picnics, I’m glad that you don’t Becky apart from maybe at buffets ❤
Totally off topic, but Becky, would you consider doing a hair tutorial. I would love to learn how to do your hairstyle. Your hair is always so beautiful and in place.
I'm with Josh, no pickles....lol. I love pickles but not on burgers. I'd take short cut and just buy a jar of 1000 island dressing for my Big Mac sauce...lol
I love meal bowls they are so good and easy meals. Salad spinner please I have one and it shakes so bad in the sink or counter so annoying, please send me a link.
Hi becky, a little while a go i heard you apologising for not knowing the correct pronounciation of an ingredient…when you were doing the bean and sweet potato recipe i want to know what keenwa was and then the penny dropped that it was quinoa! Omg ive been calling it quin-no-a phonically not how its actually pronounce 'Keenwa’ lol
Becky is a delight. If you want to view an expert gardener, canner and cook, do yourself a favor and visit LITTLE MOUNTAIN RANCH. She lives on a working ranch and knows what she talks about.
After reading some of these comments, it’s like damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Poor Becky! Your amazing. You have changed. But people change! You have moved! And became a mom! And have a million responsibilities. That changes you! But not for anything bad! Just different. I love your channel, you’re amazing! Your family is amazing! Keep evolving however you want my dear!
Your faces when you asked Josh if that Big Mac salad would replace a burger for him! Cracked me up-both of you! Just keep being who you both are. Y'all are the cutest!
I learned by a greek old lady in Rhodos, she grated the cucumber and put it in luke warm water and then added salt so the water tasted like the mediterranean Sea(really salty) Then she made the rest of the tzatziki, the greek yoghurt, the garlic(lots of it!) and then she put all the cucumber in a cloth and put a heavy bowl on top to get all the water out. The absolut best tzatziki I ever tasted, and I still do it the same way at home
Becky I know I have said this before, but please don’t take the negative and nit picky comments to heart. Your videos are wonderful and you so very often keep me company too while I’m in my own kitchen :) I love how you have grown with your channel. ❤
Becky, I planted 10 tomato plants, made 3 lasagnas and vacuum sealed 12 ears of corn! Oh and I made a zucchini casserole too! Smells so good in my kitchen! Thanks you so much for the encouragement! ❤❤❤
Me, too! I smile when I see them ease around the corner hoping for a disaster! 😂 My current furry friend (my pic ↖️) is the first dog I've owned who doesn't accompany me to the kitchen. His brother always came into the kitchen with me when he was alive, so Kirby would come in with him. I think he came in because of competition, but since his brother's been gone, he stopped coming. Now he listens for me to say, "Ackkkk!" or "Oh, nooo!" or something that indicates it's likely I've dropped food onto the floor. Then he races in, skids around the corner and announces he's there to clean up! 😂😂 Even though it does make it easier not having to dodge a dog or two, I miss it a little bit.
Becky. I been watching you since beginning. You do you. Don’t let others influence you. They can mute your sounds or not watch. I thank your great & keep you in your videos. ❤
I'm always puzzled by viewers who complain, especially when they can solve so many of their complaints themselves in seconds! "You move/speak too quickly/slowly" Just adjust the speed of the video. "You're not loud enough/too loud" Just adjust your sound. "I don't want to hear chewing noises, etc" Just mute for a second and you won't hear a thing. "I don't like one of the recipes Becky's going to make in the middle of the video" I would actually suggest watching anyway since you can sub one protein for another (I hate salmon, but watch videos with salmon because I can probably make it with chicken or pork or another fish I like better) or you may be able to use a technique or a sauce from the recipe. If you insist on it not touching your eyeballs, don't skip the video, just skip the part you think you're not interested in by fast forwarding. You get the picture. Not everything has to be spoon-fed and you can control much of your experience.
When I need to caramelize ground beef, I press all of it into a gigantic thin "hamburger patty" .....basically to cover the bottom of the pan.... then when it's caramelized I flip the whole thing over and do it again ....that way I get a good sear on both sides ... then I use my little chopper thing and crumble it and season it..
I (54) have been vegan for 10 years and love that your mentions lately is inclusive without any sarcasm. I am not the only vegan here - you do have quite a following of vegans 😉 I have been subscribed since the beginning and I love your energy. Everything you cook can be veganised - without any effort (especially for longtime vegans). I think the one thing most people do not realise is that vegans do not hate the taste of meat and that we have eaten meat, eggs, dairy and honey for the most part of our lives - so we know exactly what's on the "other side" 😊 Vegan mayonnaise are so easy to make with aquafaba (same level of prep as the egg-mayo you've just made - even less prep I suppose - but the method is 💯 % the same). V-parmesan takes 2min to make etc. etc. That besides: thank you for always showing up - you are the one youtuber no one needs to 'guess' if there will be footage or not. I love the consistency. Also: your taking on sponsors is great - it shows that you are serious about growing your business. Whoever has a problem with that need to step in any business owner's shoes for a day. I am in Cape Town, South Africa and although our climates etc. differ immensely, your garden videos has come in handy more than once over the years. You are truly an inspiration. Oh my, this is getting to be an essay 😅 Another thing: I 👀 someone complain about the fact that no kiddies toys are laying around: well, good on you if that's the way you want to run your channel - not one person will be happy to be surrounded by their children's toys if at the office - your kitchen and other parts of your home you care to show is your office, so good for you! Again, thank you for always showing up.
I love your comments! I'm not vegan - more the opposite. I'm sort of "ketovore" (for about 20 years and long before it was a "thing") which really just means I'm mostly carnivore these days but will add some keto friendly veggies (I could never live without onions, garlic, and tomatoes or things like tomato or low carb pasta sauce). I think most of Becky's food can easily be translated into all sorts of diets. I know it would be super easy to make keto (except for some of the baking). As for mayo, I often make it using butter as the fat for a carnivore twist. It's fascinating how we all find what works for us so we can enjoy the same basic food! I'm with you on the decisions Becky and Josh have made about including their child in her videos in any way. And your point about this being a business and the kitchen and garden being the office is a good one. I also agree about sponsorships. If you enjoy a creator and feel a certain bond form with them, then I'd think you would be happy to see them succeed and do well. Her sponsorship spots are well integrated and don't intrude on the content overly much (though it wouldn't bother me). I know this helps them financially which means the channel will continue. And a brief mention of a related company or product is a small price to pay for the high quality audio and visual of great equipment and for excellent editing. And for knowing the channel is self-supporting so it will continue to be there for us.
Becky I want you to know that I spent a lot of time watching your videos which keeps me calm I have anxiety your voice is very soothing and you're such a nice person it comes through ignore people on their negative behavior there are some people that just cannot be nice
Josh just gave you a classic idea for pizza in a bowl…..roasted bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives with garlic sausage and/or pepperoni topped with an Italian tomato sauce with delicious buttery garlic flatbreads!!! Mmmmn.
Lovely to see Josh with you in the kitchen. I think what ever you cook would be OK with Josh. Love watching your videos. I have gone back and watched almost all your vids. Has taken a while but I had lots of time going through Chemo. 💕💕🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Becky and Josh, I almost choked on my watermelon I got from a local farmer when you asked him, "Does this replace a burger for you?" His face said it all. Those meals looked so good but that face Josh made was so funny!
very good job on the add part-felt really organic and natural. and the product is perfectly"on brand" with your channel.never thought i would compliment someone on their add haha but its so rare to see one and not cringe
I love dinner in a bowl, I usually end up mixing everything together anyways, when we have eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy I tear up my biscuits and mix everything together, lol, but one thing I want to say is I notice there are some complainers in the comments not many but enough to notice, and Becky is so kind and tries to please everyone and I think its the people complaining that need to change their ways not becky, not all people do things the same way and that's the beauty of the world, the internet can be a hateful place and I would just encourage kindness and compassion in the comments, but overall the comment section on Becky's channel are helpful and so sweet but I've just noticed a few not so nice ones, sorry for the rant but nobody is going to push around Becky on my watch!!!!!
SUGGESTION!
Garlic, ginger pucks alternative!! Put garlic/ ginger, etc, in a gallon Ziploc bag, flatten it out, then take a chopstick or skewer and press it down onto the bag in a cross hatch pattern and freeze it. When frozen, bend the bag at the "perforations," and you have little flat squares already in a Ziploc baggie. It skips the portioning out, freezing, then bagging steps. It thaws much quicker also. 😊
Agreed! It's flatter to store as well
Great suggestion. I've been putting mine in ice trays (dedicated for the purpose) then into bags. Definately going to give this a go.
Great idea.
I do this with leftover tomato paste and chipotles in adobo sauce.
I do a variation of this. Rather than portioning with the chopstick, I freeze flat and then once frozen I just break it up so I can measure at will as I need it.

I called the number on the box and they're going to send me a paper copy of the recipes for the jams and jelly's for the low sugar.
Yes, I had to scan the QR code then choose the recipe form a few different ones; I would have preferred the paper copy too!
I'm gonna say it again, Becky you have everything a network is looking for in a cooking show! ❤️ watching your content!

And have a million responsibilities. That changes you! But not for anything bad! Just different. I love your channel, you’re amazing! Your family is amazing! Keep evolving however you want my dear!
They are prob jealous of her
Your faces when you asked Josh if that Big Mac salad would replace a burger for him!
I totally took a screenshot of your tip! Thanks so much! Did she deseed or peel the cucumber at all? Thanks again!
I just love when your pups make an appearance!
Exactly well said
If those people stop watching her videos, her income can drop substantially, if she doesn't make her viewers happy, she can disappear pretty fast.
That is a brilliant idea, I will definitely give it a try.
@@arescueworks great for sliders too..put the big patty on a slab of buns and cut all at once
Ooooo! Great idea.
Love this idea! Thank you ❤
I do this, too!
💯 concur!
If you save your water from the rice that contains starch, you can use it for your flowers, they will appreciate it. :)
House plants love it too
Also a hair rinse, makes hair more shiny 😊
Rice water is great for hair but it can also cause protein overload.
Can you put this on noodles
Ah good idea 👍
Becky I want you to know that I spent a lot of time watching your videos which keeps me calm I have anxiety your voice is very soothing and you're such a nice person it comes through ignore people on their negative behavior there are some people that just cannot be nice
What is better than 'that Friday feeling"....? Friday pizza night with a side of Becky! Cant wait for tonight!! 🍷
I love to make an Italian Bowl with Cheesy Polenta on the bottom of roasted veggies and Italian Meatballs with a bit of Marinara Sauce. So so good.
😋 Oh My
That sounds super yummy!
Wow! Need to right that idea down.
My mother always told me if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all ok ❤❤❤
Josh just gave you a classic idea for pizza in a bowl…..roasted bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives with garlic sausage and/or pepperoni topped with an Italian tomato sauce with delicious buttery garlic flatbreads!!! Mmmmn.
i saw someone make a pizza pot pie and he brushed garlic parmesan butter over the top.
@@AnitaEtheridge 🤤Stop, you all are making me hungry 🤤!
Just realised I forgot the mozzarella cheese! Oh and sprinkles of Parmesan too!
Lovely to see Josh with you in the kitchen. I think what ever you cook would be OK with Josh. Love watching your videos. I have gone back and watched almost all your vids. Has taken a while but I had lots of time going through Chemo. 💕💕🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hope things are going well! Wishing you the very best! ❤

Well said!
