After watching a few of your videos, I was perplexed because there’s rarely any music or trendy editing, but I like it. Makes it more personal and shows you aren’t doing it for any reason other than the love of cooking and sharing recipes. Good for you!

As a hearing impaired person with hearing aids, I appreciate that there’s no music. Sometimes it can be very loud and it’s difficult to understand the person speaking. Hope you don’t mind my two cents!🤗

I am also hearing impaired and while I LOVE music, I do prefer it seperate from talking. You are so correct, when the two are combined I can't hear everything that's being said. So, Becky, to you and your editor, Thank You so much for not putting music over the voices. You and your mom are an absolute joy to watch.@@judyfisher25

Hi Becky: FYI - in a few videos I have seen your mom clean her granite counter top with Windex. Over time Windex will run the granite. I googled it for you: Windex contains ingredients that can permanently damage the granite. While the most common damage done by Windex is dulling the shine of the countertops, it can also cause pitting. Windex can strip the sealer off of your granite countertops, leaving the granite susceptible to staining and other damage. Her kitchen is beautiful and would hate to see it ruined!

I make a salsa with 2 sliced pineapples, each 1/2 inch thick, patted dry (grilled and let cool before dicing and adding to the rest of the recipe)
    1 cup whole strawberries, diced
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
3 Tbsp. chopped, fresh mint leaves
    1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

We are beekeepers in Texas. Chrystalized honey is pure honey. It makes no difference for us which way we store it. We always have the room with very little humidity with a dehumidifyer. And the room is cooled from the ac. It makes no difference...if it is pure honey, it will chrystalize eventually. Just set the jar of honey in a warm pot and let it sit and turn back into liquid gold. We also keep some small bottles in the refrigerator and stir it often and it becomes thick and smooth. It is wonderful on bisquits and toast. Many people want it that way. Enjoy your channel very much. And love you cooking with your sweet Mom.

You mentioned you were going camping as a big family. Years ago, before my daughters decided to run away from home to have families of their own, we loved camping as a family. One of the things my girls requested every time was taco/vegetable soup. We always, ALWAYS served it the day we were setting up camp as all the prep work was done before leaving home and the only thing needed to be done was open the cans and rip the packets of seasoning. After a long drive with children, who wants to wait for unloading, starting a fire and cooking? Our taco soup recipe is as follows for a family of 4 to five: 2 parts tomato sauce to 1 part chicken broth (veg broth works great as well) and 2 packet of taco seasoning. Bring to boil. For the ratio of wet, try to use equal size cans and adjust taco seasoning as needed. Obviously, if using the large cans of wet, you need more taco seasoning packets…adjust to your taste. I never mixed the fresh veggies for travel. Each one got their own bag. We love veggies so all the favorites got bought, chopped, and bagged. For serving, the broth stayed in the big pot with a ladle. We would use nacho chips, bacon bits, (or any meat of your choosing..bacon precooked and diced was easier to travel with), sliced black olives, corn, finely diced broccoli, black beans (rinsed), sour cream, green onions, tomatoes (I used pico as everything was inclusive), cheese, guacamole. Each side got their own bowl. When plating……bowling rather, take a hand full of nacho chips and crush them into your bowl. Then go down the line and add to the bowl any side you wanted, then top it with the cheese, sour cream, guacamole, . You can adjust the sides to whatever your family likes. Then top with the scalding broth which will blanch the sides. You still get the fresh crunch as the soup does not fully cook the veggies. The beauty of this soup is that the children feel they have control over what they are eating and will fill up on healthy things. They also get the fun of suggesting what to buy, slice and pack.

Here's a tried and true idea for grilling carrots: roast them whole like hot dogs. No need to peal them, just scrub well.
You can roast them plain and serve with sauces, or brush a marinade on as you grill.
With other veggies, just roast them whole too, or halfed if you must. Works for peppers, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and even thick cabbage slices.
It's less prep ahead, and so much easier when you ate grilling, to add them before your proteins or along them.
When I was younger my dad used to roast on coals/wood, so the veggies always came first while we were waiting for the ambers to form

Becky, we had bee hives for years and I’ve still got jars of our honey in my pantry. Use glass, not plastic. Oxygen exposure hastens crystallization too. Store in cool dark place, it will last for literally decades.

I live in Bermuda and have many passion fruit vines. All types of citrus, two types of mangoes, two types of bananas, two varieties of peaches, nectarines, blackberries, sugar apples, plums and cherries. Until recently I also had a large vegetable garden but arthritis arrived so no longer can manage the vegetable garden but do have a kitchen herb garden. I also have six avocado trees and in those years when no hurricanes arrive, I have avocados from the end of July until March with these six different varieties.
I just found your UA-cam channel and have now binge watched for hours.

This was such a joy to watch. You work in perfect harmony now. I wish I had that entire bowl of pineapple strawberry salsa and a spoon, the cake with pecans and a fork right now. 😂 YUM!!
I’m not sure I’ve seen you guy’s roast radishes yet.. I’m a convert, they are so delicious like that and I run out of radish ideas. I’ve roasted a bunch and popped them in the freezer. Susan, your garden radish excitement was precious and what made me think of it. Lovely watching you ladies, thank you! ❤

BBQ/Rosemary tip- You can use the rosemary sprigs (the woody part) as skewers! It adds a lot of flavor to your meat from the inside 😊
    Party on ✌️

Put your honey in canning jars. Sometimes when I buy honey it is in a plastic container. I transfer the honey into the glass jars. When it hardens, set the jar in a small pan of water on the stove. On a low temperature it will soften. You can stir it to speed up the process. If you want to know how to preserve honey, call your County Cooperative Extension office which would be part of your State University System.

Hi Becky and Susan. The reason you alternate wet and dry ingredients; makes all ingredients are evenly disperced throughout batter, keeps batter from clumping and forming lumps. To uncrystalizing your honey is easy, just heat it up it will never go bad. Until next time may your party be a success, much love and many prayers. 💖💖

A trick with kababs is to use metal skewers either triangle-shaped or flat. Either shape will keep your food still, so it won't have a chance to spin back around when you flip the skewer over

My guess on the dividers in the salad spinner would be for like when you are washing fruits and or veggies for different plates. That way you can get everything washed at once.

Great video! Love when you have these big parties! You have given such good tips and tricks. One tip I would like to share is instead of putting your lighter into the grill ( oh my goodness you made me nervous LOL) to get it lit, there is usually a small hole on the side of your grill. My grill has it on the right side about the same level as where your burners are. It’s so much safer to put your lighter there instead of into the grill. Hope that made sense. Much love & blessings to you and your family.

You are a very lucky young lady. It obvious that you had a wonderful mother, father, and given the opportunity to grow into a wonderful example of the American dream. Keep up the great work you do. Teaching this younger generation how to plant and grow and create great meals from your hard work. Your parents must be extremely proud of the daughter you are. 😂❤❤

Look for a strawberry plucker(that's what I know it as), to take stem off of strawberries. It just plucks that top part off, leaving more strawberry to eat that if you slice top off. I think back in the day, I got mine from a Tupperware party.😊❤

Just warm the honey for a few seconds in the microwave. It will liquefy. Also, cooking spray in your measuring cup will allow the honey to pour right out.

Watching your cooking and shopping videos with your mom makes me miss doing similar with my own. I live several hours away from my mother, so I don't get to spend as much time with her as I'd always like, but when I do, it's just as much fun as the times you have with your mom. Thanks for sharing the content, and I'm so glad your mom is willing to be involved with your videos like this.

The reason you start and end with dry ingredients is the result is a more tender cake. (First time I saw the two of you gradually add the dry ingredients so they don’t fly all over. Yay!)
