My husband always says “why are you smiling”. I say Becky always makes me smile when she tastes her dishes. Love this girl and her cooking ,and gardening
I cook up a ton of different veggies, onions, mushrooms, peppers, garlic, squash and zucchini and puree it with an immersion blender, I then bag it up into snack size bags and put in a larger ziplock bag. Then when I'm making soups or casseroles, I take one out and throw it in - adds great veggies and flavors.
I do something similar. I just dehydrate and then powder. Oh, I will do a dehydrated mirepoix mix as well. Shelf stable, no freezer, and I use it like spice/base. I typically have to “sneak” my veggies in, lol. And I’m an adult 🤷🏼♀️. 😘. Great idea!
Becky I have so much respect for you! You do what you love, and found a way to get paid for it, you have a beautiful family, beautiful garden, and beautiful personality. Watching you brings me so much joy and gives me something to aspire to! Thanks for all you do!
Due to your inspiration Becky, for my daughter’s birthday ( who is a good cook) I gifted her about 200 of your garlic pucks, also did onion pucks, basil pucks, parsley pucks, froze bacon bits, lemon and lime juice in nut cups. I think there was more. She was thrilled! She has a two year old and a new home, she couldn’t be happier! Without you I never would have thought of it. You have given me SO much inspiration and I send so many girlfriends to your site.❤️❤️❤️
@tlane8759 Get a bag of peeled garlic and blend it up or put in food processor. Make them into small dollops and throw into a freezer bag and freeze! She also has a video of how she does it
Well, I bet your husband feels like he struck gold when he found you. What a hard working gal you are! I love your videos.I hope I have time to watch them all while i'm doing mundane tasks in the kitchen...
Two days ago I made the Cheesy Chicken, Broccoli, and Rice. Oh girl, that was delicious! My husband and I absolutely loved it. We're having it for supper tonight for leftovers, as it's just the two of us (so we always have plenty when I make your recipes). I can't wait to try the other one pot recipes. Love watching you so much, Becky. I'm 63 years old and love cooking. I've cooked for so many years, and yet, I learn so much from you about cooking, canning, etc. Keep up the great work! God bless you, sweetie.
Becky, I happened onto your channel about a week and a half ago - and have binge-watched nearly every episode. I am hooked! I love your home and garden, your mom is adorable and I am so grateful for all I have learned from you. Thank you, thank you for sharing your life, your knowledge and your ever so pleasant personality
I'm just glad I found the channel 3 years ago so I only spent a week binge watching. Love to go back to episodes I've marked as recipes I want to try. Always good results.
Hi becky. Before i started watching your videos which has been about 3 years now. You have given me many ideas on meals. I am a 71 year old who lives in the U K. I do alsorts of meals and sides now. Thank you becky and josh for giving me different ideas on meals. Keep doing what you arexx
Becky, I just had to let you know that I made your (or rather your school friends) Lasagna Bolognese with Bechamel sauce! OMG what a hit! I thought without the cheese filling i wouldn't like it as much. Boy was I wrong! And those lasagna sheets are amazing! We had a surprise birthday party for 18 people and everyone loved it! The people who's house we were at had lived in Italy for 5 years and they said it was great. Thank you for all you do for us!
Thank you Becky, one pot meals and the batch cooking really help me. I'm disabled and can't always cook, but when i can i like to cook from scratch so easy quick meals are fantastic x
These videos with easy recipes have been a game charger for me. I'm pregnant and don't want to cook! I'll prep these ahead of time or my husband will take inspiration from these videos as well. Thank you! ❤
I always smile when I hear the mention of Maldon Sea salt. Maldon is a rural coastal town in Essex England and my husband and I attended Maldon Grammar school in the 1960’s and my mother before in the 1930’s. There are no sandy beaches but rather salt marshes and a sea wall.
The recipes look delicious. I have a suggestion just for you Becky. Since the rest of your family doesn’t like spice but you do, I would add a generous amount of crushed red pepper flakes to your bowl of hamburger helper. I always do that with dishes like that, and it takes it to the next level. I think you would like that too.
I have loads of courgette/zucchini from my garden too…I have them all shredded and frozen and have been adding them straight to soups, stews, etc…adds a lovely taste to lentil soup…I’d love to have a freeze dryer too but have a very small house and just no room for it.
Perfect episode for today! I needed this one. New recipes to avoid the urge to buy take out as we prepare for Phase two of my back surgeries. Thank you for sharing these! 🎉
I got inspired by you and have started canning! Your tomato processing video was perfect timing for me! I spent the weekend reading my new canning book (recommended by you) and rewatching your canning videos. I've caught the bug! So far I've made marinara sauce, mustard pickles and salsa. This week I'll pick up some more supplies (and jars)..... You are an inspiration!
I miss going to art festivals. One of the favorite things I did with my mom. It’s not the same alone. I have so many beautiful cutting boards, wooden utensils, kitchen pottery, etc. from terrific artists.
You have been an absolute inspiration for me. I’m cooking and freezing, baking and organising more than I have in the last few years. The only sad thing is I have to avoid the recipes with cream and cheese as so high in calories and not good for my cholesterol, oh how I would love to eat these! But I want to say a huge thank you for reviving the joy of cooking for me. You are a star!
These look delicious. I often make a version of the hamburger helper, and it's delicious. To vary the flavour, I add either paprika or italian sesoning. If you want to change up the gnocchi recipe, you can use tortellini or ravioli.
Just amazed at your growth, so enjoy watching you and your enjoying all that you do. Been watching over 4 years GB May your journey continue to be blessed ❤
I love how you and Josh rate the dishes and why, plus your learnings and how you'll optimize to your preferences next time. Also love the little nuggets like, "Oil for temperature, butter for flavor." 🎉
Such amazing recipes! I’m so excited to try some of them. You encourage me so much to use the ingredients in my pantry and be creative in my cooking. Watching your videos over the last 1 1/2 years has really motivated me to cook from scratch when I can and get the best ingredients for my loved ones. Becky you are the best!
I just so happen to come across one of your videos and decided to click on the one where you and your sister visited Pawhuska, OK. I liked it so much, that I decided to check out some of your other videos, and I was hooked. I smile when you smile. I love when you make mistakes, because we all make them. I can't count how many times I have turned on my mixer and gotten flour everywhere. I love your recipes and tips for entertaining. Thank you for being on UA-cam. Please don't go away.
One thing I do is cook my meat ahead of time and freeze them. I cook 5 lbs of ground beef, chicken (shredded & diced) and sausage and freeze them as 1 lb packages. On cooking day I thaw a meat pkg in the fridge overnight. It saves time too!
Homemade Hamburger Helper is amazing! My husband uses a recipe from Drizzle Me Skinny as it was an old Weight Watchers recipe that we just kept as it was amazing. A winter staple for sure!
Yeassssss I’m early I’m halfway cooking too. I’m going on a food adventure Europe and Asia Oct - Dec. I’m hoping next year I can come to the US. For now I’m just enjoying the food from there through you. Thanks for all the effort you and Josh put in. I love your videos so much ❤
Ooooo BECKY ❤️. When you put the onions and peppers in the chicken pan 😋😊 MADE ME SO HUNGRY. I could almost smell that 😄 LOVE the smell of onions frying 👍. Will definitely be trying these recipes. Thank YOU. You are truly gifted as a cook. To explain to anyone what and how I’m doing a recipe , I get all tongue tied 🤣. You’re so confident ❤️
7:41 Hi Becky from Alabama!!! I cooked your Homemade Hamburger Helper this evening!!!! It was deliciously amazing!!! I will be cooking this a lot!!! I love your channel and your recipes!!!! 🤩
I mean this 100% as a compliment, you are giving off nurturing school lunch lady vibes! I can't explain why, but you remind me of a lunch lady I had in my elementary school that I just adored! She was just super sweet and you remind me of her! Really enjoying your content! Homemade hamburger helper sounds pretty amazing so may need to do that this week!
That's a bonus having the bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs. The skin and bone you took off can be used for a soup prep for the cooler weather or even for a base for chicken pot pie or chicken and biscuits. Good cool weather comfort food! Yum!😊❤
Hi Becky! Great recipes. All looked delicious. The next time you use your green curry paste, just use less of it to avoid the intense heat. 3 Tblsp is a lot! It will still provide great flavor without too much heat, and hopefully Josh will be able to enjoy it. That way also your curry paste won’t go to waste. 😊
I love how you explain your thought process when you cook. Definitely going to give some of these dishes a try. I’m with you in preferring chicken with cream based dishes and not sausage. Here in the UK it’s hard to find good Italian sausages especially where i live in Cornwall. Thank you Becky you are a ray of sunshine.
Becky, I love these videos when you do multiple recipes and rate them! My family is so happy with the new recipes in our rotation. I always make notes on mine for when you change or add things while you cook so I can remember to do that too. I appreciate all the time and effort (and taste testing ;-) you do
I can’t wait to try these recipes! I am going to do half chicken and half sausage in the gnocchi recipe. Thank you Becky, you have been a great inspiration to me. I am enjoying my kitchen thanks to your cooking methods and kitchen management skills. God bless you!
Hi Becky I’m a inspired home cook and just found your vids, I can’t wait to try all of your recipes ❤ you are so natural in your kitchen and great to follow 😊
I love watching you cook you are very clever with some of your tips ❤❤. I eat only plant based but I still get lots from your videos, thank you. I’m so glad I found you 😊I love to garden too.
You are a gem! Love your inspiration and being daring to try new recipes and sharing your thoughts through the process. Want to share that I made this type of recipe before and it called for a pinch of sage when adding the lemon juice. Delish on a chilly fall evening!
Thank you, I was sitting at the table trying to think of something to make. Your very first meal looked so good, I had to pause the video and make it. Yummy. Perfect timing
I definitely will be making your recipes this fall! They look so delicious. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your recipes with us ♥️
Becky . I should of mentioned that I was asking about the first recipe with hamburger and noodles. Thank you for being the wonderful inspiration and dedicated teacher.
Love your recipes, commentary and ease of cooking Becky. Pre-shredded cheese has cellulose as an ingredient to keep it from clumping together in the bag which is why it doesn't melt very well. Its always best to shred your own. I will try the creamy chicken 🥦rice 🍚 dish. Thank you.
One of the most delicious ways to build flavor is when you are ready to cook your chicken pieces, add a knob of butter to the pan with the oil and the butter won’t burn. But oh my does it ever have flavor added to the chicken, especially if it browns a little bit.😊
Thanks for the 1 pot recipes - loving that idea - gonna make my grocery list now and use 2 of them this week! BTW - I have that same cookie cookbook and have had great success with EVERY recipe in there.
Tis the season to have more comfort meals for sure. Also soups. Becky you should can up some curry base sauces for yourself. I just did a red curry sauce base and when I use it I add my heavy cream. So nice just to brown your meat and run into the pantry and open up a jar. I always freeze heavy cream in ice cube trays just so if you need a quarter cup of cream instead of opening a pint of cream always there. Cheers
I can’t wait to try these! Thank you for all the wonderful meal ideas you bring us, I would never have tried many of them on my own but watching you make them, for me, makes them less intimidating. Looking forward to the next cooking adventure!
Your cooking videos are helping me explore new meals and new dinner options. I've been binging a lot of your videos lately and I was wondering how you are finding your first year of motherhood?
Loving beckys switch to weighing and embracing the change! Yes it makes recipes more accurate but by a flick of a button it allows you to use recipes from anywhere, be they metric or imperial! You never know if a cup measure is packed, fluffed etc and it can really screw up a recipe. Plus you have less washing up, just zero the scale between ingredients!
Been watching you for awhile . You have a wonderful way of explaining what your doing .I have tried many of our recipes and have loved them all. Thanks for shariing
Hello Becky! :D I've been processing tomatoes for the past two days and just finished taking the my second batch of sauce out of the canner about an hour ago...now I've only got to process another 280 pounds. Thanks for inspiring me to can! :D They all look great, especially the cookies! :D God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Hi Becky. One pot meals have been on my menu lately. Thanks for the inspirations. That tool you use to break up burger is a great invention. I don't know what I did without one. Super delicious looking peppers. Awe, your dog is looking for floor tidbits.
Great idea adding the zucchini in the Hamburger helper. We make it often, adding onion and corn 🌽. But I'm definitely going to start adding a zucchini as we also have so many from our garden.
Yes! The crispy bits on the ground beef are flavor! This is a major debate in my home lol. Glad to see I’m not alone. It’s soooo good with that extra little crisp ❤
Becky if you ever need a topic would you consider sharing how you go about doing your weekly meal planning and how you search for new recipes. Thank you in advance.
Happy Monday Friend! I hope these recipes give you a little dinner inspiration for this busy time of year! - Becky
Thank you so much for your hard work. I really appreciate you ❤❤❤

I love the one pot wonders. Perfect when inspiration is lacking.thanks Becky!

I am trying harder to make homemade rice-a-roni and hamburger helper type meals. Using home grown herbs and veggies while I can.
Absolutely LOVE these skillet dinners! They are time savers and so yummy! Thanks for trying new ones!
So excited for these recipes just in time for fall.
I've been processing tomatoes for the past two days and just finished taking the my second batch of sauce out of the canner about an hour ago...now I've only got to process another 280 pounds. Thanks for inspiring me to can! :D
They all look great, especially the cookies! :D
God bless you and your wonderful family.
Can't wait to try the hamburger helper recipe! Simple and looks delish! Thank you :)
Did you know you can get replacement knobs on the le creuset pots? You can switch them out for the metal ones that can handle up to 500°F
