Thanks for joining in today's LIVE! I had a lot of fun and if you missed the LIVE, I hope you enjoy the replay! We loved homemade jam and I hope this give you the inspiration to make for your self :)
Hi Becky 👋 I'm sorry I missed your live stream but I was team rewatch and I was surprised to hear about freezer jam! My grandma used to make homemade strawberry jam but it was canned and it was delicious and also my favorite! I just wanted to say that I love the idea of learning how to make freezer jam and without a lot of sugar!!!! Your freezer jam looks absolutely delicious 😋 and I can't wait to try and make it myself (it will be my first time doing it)! Thank you for all of your amazing videos ❤. Thank you for teaching me and do many of us here all of the amazing ways to do so much!!!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤ ps homemade jam is always the best?💕💕💕
I’m so sad I missed your live it’s been wonderful watching you and listening to you and Josh just chatting. For something you didn’t like, I remember when you were in your last property you made something that was pickled or fermented, I want to say onion or garlic was something unusual like that. And it’s the first time I’ve ever seen you say no friends that’s horrible we won’t be making that again! Let me know if you can remember it too x
NC here. Just started watching you a few days ago. I have only canned one thing in the passed. I want to do so much more. Your channel has been a blessing. You are so helpful. Thank you do much. ❤
I would totally watch a series of videos about your eventual kitchen remodel! I’ve enjoyed every type of video you’ve done: cooking, canning, remodeling your current home, decorating, gardening , all the things you do. Whether it’s a video with just your or you & Josh, it’s all enjoyable & I take away something I can use in my life from each jaunra 🥰
For those who want to use sugar alternatives (which are healthier, because we want to AVOID Splenda due to some potentially serious negative health impacts - like imitating MS symptoms - so, neurological toxins) you could try "monk fruit' sweetener, for a very sweet, but not diabetes promoting, sweetener. AND BTW, we would watch you do anything...a travel cooking classes show would be absolutely SUPER!! Basically we would follow you guys ANYWHERE doing anything. You are just the most entertaining but also CALMING person to watch. I especially love that you show your messes, and mistakes without sounding guilty or apologetic about being human. Well done you. You are a great role model for self-respect & self-acceptance.
I’d love to see you all caring for your bees too. Josh should come on camera more. He is so sweet and supportive of you. You found a keeper! You are both blessed to have each other.
I've truly enjoyed being a subscriber to this channel and watching you on this journey. I love your humility, the excitement you get from learning new things. Thank you for inviting us into your home, kitchen and family. Mahalo & Aloha from Houston!!
You could use the kitchen remodel as way to show people what you can cook when your kitchen is torn apart. Giving everyone ideas. That sounds like a great series, I would totally watch that from day 1 to finish. 😊
You really have created an amazingly fun, authentic and beloved UA-cam program/channel. You and Josh have such a great relationship vibe. WE ALL LOVE YOU!!
Love your show and I'm so glad that I found you. I consider you a new friend. Although it's been a long time since I have been married raise children and did a lot in the kitchen I still look for ways to save time. At this stage of my life I am caring for someone who needs my attention and meal preparation is one of them. Thank you for your ideas and your hard work because I know there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes to be able to produce a show like yours.
Hi Becky and everyone 😊 cultured buttermilk is similar to yogurt in that it has bacteria added and it is thicker and more tangy. Regular buttermilk is the by product of making butter, when the whey separated from the fat. It is thinner and less tangy. They have different uses in baking so make sure to use whatever the recipe requires. Your biscuits definitely needed cultured buttermilk so, good job Josh!! Hope this helps!
How wonderful that Josh is now a full-time part of Acre Homestead!!! A lot of you tubers I watch have done this too, and it makes so many memories for their families!
I'm watching the replay and want to say CONGRATS on Josh being able to work with you full time now. And I would LOVE watching little travel videos, watching some quilting videos and all. SO EXCITED for what's to come your you guys!
I love that you and Josh are working together. Young one "Acre" will be enriched with such a move. Blessings upon you and your family Becky and Josh. Such awesome news. 🥰🤩
Such a blessing that Josh can spend more time with his family now. I pray the blessings keep coming your way! You and your family are so deserving of all the good things in life!
I love watching your videos. You are the first person I've seen on UA-cam who actually knows how to cut out biscuits. You are supposed to cut straight down and not twist the biscuit cutter. It allows for the biscuits to rise higher while baking. You are a fabulous cook. I enjoy watching you cook more than anyone on the cooking network.
What did Josh do for a job before deciding to now help you out with your channel? It is amazing to me that it's possible to actually make a living this way !
I really enjoy your channel; your abilities, your honesty when you make mistakes, the fact that your child is not included in your choice of how you make a living. Congratulations to both you and Josh for him going full time with you!
Becky and Josh, loved this live. I would love to see you do some quilting! It so exciting know a younger person is continuing to keep the craft alive! Congrats to Josh being home full time. Love you both!!!!
The picture and quality are awesome! I love that you can switch back and forth! Great job Josh! I love your kitchen! It’s so pretty with all of the natural light! I’m a quilter and I hope if you do start a quilt, you’ll take us on the journey with you! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you for answering my question on the recipe. I had been doing the regular one but you inspired me. I used the less sugar sure-gel and it’s the best strawberry jam I’ve ever made. Thank you!
It was comforting listening to you and Josh work together and I love the recipes that you choose - you give me courage to try new things even at the ancient age of 76. But the reason I said “comforting” is that I was able to take my mind off of my brother’s suffering for a bit with the pleasantness of your show. He is dying of brain cancer and it’s not a pretty thing as you may imagine, or know. Plus he is in Japan and I am in California, so it’s even harder. Watching you make something as simple as jam and biscuits was just so normal and you have such a great rapport with us, your audience - as one person put it - you are so real - authentic. So thank you for being down home goodness - you helped and will continue to help me as I continue to watch your shows… to get through a tough time in my life.
I just picked 15 lbs. of fresh strawberries at my daughter’s greenhouse today & will definitely try this jam! Thanks for sharing this live! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
The best part of your channel Becky is you, so a garden live anytime would be fine. Don't worry about the elements other than rain or extreme wind. 😊💗🇨🇦
Would love to see you 2 do travel vlogs to other farms, farm markets, festivals and of course lots of foodie exploring, and taking us on a journey of learning new skills as you did a while back with butchering hogs. Definitely keep your bees as far away from your outdoor living area. They'll find their wind to the plants, but you won't, and family & friends won't have to run & dodge from them in case someone is allergic to them
I’m watching this way after the LIVE, but I want to say that my grandmother always made freezer jams. What I specifically remember is raspberry jam! When we would go visit (in Oregon) she would bring out the freezer jam for breakfast and we would eat it right out of the freezer, that’s one of my fun memories of freezer jam!
Fantastic live. I caught the replay! 🤗 What a Blessing Josh is able to work full time at home with you! God is so very good! You guys deserve all the grace, blessings and abundance! I’m so very happy for you guys! Such a beautiful family all around, parents and siblings, nieces and nephews included! What a beautiful life! 💜Looking forward to the bee videos! I’ve learned so much from you Becky and I am so very glad I found your channel some years ago! I think my only garden hang up now is irrigation. I’m going to try my hand at it in the coming months. I hope to have it worked out before summer’s end. It is screeching hot here in Texas. Takes all the fun out of gardening! That irrigation would be a game changer for me. I’ll have to go and dig up the video of you and Josh setting yours up. Thanks again for another great one and many more blessings to come! 🥰💜🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Loved this… you brought back (YEARS ago) childhood memories of visiting my Grandma in Washington state. She always had little containers of strawberry freezer jam in her freezer made from strawberries grown in her garden 😊 She’s who inspired me to cook (and attempt to garden). Thank you for sharing with us!
We went strawberry picking today and made freezer jam. Thanks so much for the idea! We used Ball's Realfruit low or no sugar pectin and very much enjoyed the results
I caught the replay, it's a fun video. 😊 I'm happy Josh can work with you and also be a full time Dad. Forgot to mention that you have a good speaking voice, Josh. Nice to listen to. I was shown how to make rhubarb freezer jam but instead of pectin we used flavored jello. Rhubarb is so bland that it took on the Jell-O flavor.
I think your kitchen is perfect as it is. I am so jealous of it. I live in a small apartment with a kitchen so small I can stand in the middle of it and reach everything
Yayyyyy!!! congrats you two on Josh getting to work full time with you! This will enhance the great videos that she already does! 🙌🏼 Working smarter and not harder with the parchment paper in the cookie sheets!
I'm sorry about the loss of your grandma.I make an Arabic dish called Upside Down, not the Arabic name,so good. This dish is chicken, rice, cauliflower and potatoes with about 17 seasoning.I made those biscuits this morning, highly recommend with honey butter. The biscuit smells and the honey butter reminded me of my grandparents. Thanks you guys.
It's so great that you guys get to work together! And you both work so great together as well. It's lovely to have him around on the videos. I'd also LOVE to see travel vlogs from you guys! Especially focused on food/cooking!
I’ve been watching every video as they come out since close to the very beginning. How incredible that it has grown so much that Josh is now working full time with you! Congratulations to you both, you, and your channel, are truly amazing.
Aloha from Maui, Hawaii. Love your cooking, canning, gardening, remodeling, meal and party planning. Love having Josh full-time, cooking with the moms and gardening with mom and dad. My husband knows your voice and I enjoy sharing your recipies with my family and friends. God bless you all!
I just watched from the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon and so enjoyed all of it! Josh brings a levity to the video, and there is such a sweetness to both of you together that is a joy to behold!
I finally finished watching. I wish it would have been a little later in the day. I am on the east coast and I could not catch you live. So happy for you and Josh that he is able to work with you and be around more for your family. Can't wait to see more about the bees. Would love to see more of Orbit and Tibro. Would love to see them better so we could tell them apart.
My Great-grandmother used to make jelly and pour into special glass jars and sealing with liquid wax! They had a farm that supplied everything they needed and more!
I really love watching your programs! You have so much energy! I have 2 raised garden beds and also purchased a greenhouse have been gardening for 60 years! I just love to grow plants! I live in Alma,West Virginia! And use to have a large garden but age has me down to just 2 raised beds! Love you and Josh together!
Josh Becky I appreciate all the energy that you have and I wish that I had half the landscaping that you have the growing a garden the maintaining your chickens and things like that what is 67 years old I don't have that kind of energy anymore but I do enjoy living vicariously through your exploits so keep up the good work
I prefer the evening lives because I work the day shift. I am so glad you guys finally got the bees. I cannot wait to see that video. I love watching your videos. I have not missed one video in years. True follower here. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us amazing content!
So awesome that Josh is now ‘officially’ working with you. But I know he has been for some time mostly behind the scenes. How wonderful for your family
Becky and Josh y'all just taught me why my video quality was so bad and now I know how to change it. Oh and learning about the jam was good too. 😂 I am kidding. I love watching you cook and garden. The tech tip was a bonus. Keep up the good work. I love the community you have created.
Strawberry freezer jam is the best and mostly the only kind of strawberry jam I make! My kids love the freshness of the freezer jam so that is the only kind they make too!
I didnt catch that Josh can now be FT with you and your family. How amazing is that. It's why I'm so excited to see you doing sponsorships because you both deserve to get paid for your passions. Way to go.
Parchment paper on the cookie sheets is definitely a life saver!! It definitely makes clean up and longevity of your pans! I have these for our air fryer and for ever size of pan we have.
My grandkids and I are from Marlow, Oklahoma. We have watched every video. We have done a lot of you wonderful recipes. When we go grocery shopping they will have a list of things to get for your recipes. They tell people to go to UA-cam to watch Becky. They are 8 and 12. Thank you so
Oh wow love the new camera work. Josh it was so smooth and the picture was really good. Oh and my mom and I always did freezer jam. It’s the best. I love your kitchen. The layout is amazing. I would love to have a kitchen like that. Your biscuits look absolutely beautiful . Becky I watched the food network for many many years and your channel is 100% better than that is. All they show is games and competitions which doesn’t teach you absolutely anything and they use ingredients that a regular person would not think of using. I don’t watch them any more. Don’t ever go to the food network because they will ruin you. We love you just like you are.
That inspires me to make blueberry jam, love your channel I watch it every time you post a video and you’ve taught me a lot, so thank you for that. Glad to see you leave in your oopsies and mistakes cause we all do them when cooking or baking I know I do. You’ve taught me a bunch on gardening and also for the first time ever I’ve done a small garden this year, wish me luck so far so good. So bless you and your family. ❤️❤️🤗🤗
If you add Rhubard too strawberries you will not need pectin. The real trartness of the Rhubarb is full of natural pectin. More sugar will be needed. This is for cooked jam. Becky has so many great recipes and shows techniques for each step.
Thank yall for the live!!!! I enjoy all your videos and content. Becky, you inspire me to get outside, plant a garden and cook more. Thank YOU for being YOU and for your positive energy and inspiring videos. You’re a blessing to me❤
Hi I’m fairly new here. From Texas & all love all your video’s. I never catch your lives but watch every chance I get. I just finished our freezer meals & look forward to cooking those.
I really enjoy watching the two of you. You’re both so sweet together & the love & respect you have for one another is so good to see! My husband loves peaches. I’m so glad I watched this video so I can try this recipe for him. I’m always learning so many things from you! Thank you Becky! 😊
I think your kitchen is set up for you and your show just perfect! How great is it you found a house and yard that works out for your videos so well. We have loved everything shown so far on your site😀
Thank you for showing me how to make freezer jam. My grandmother used to make it when she was alive. She never showed me how to make it. Now I can make some finally. I love freezer jam. Especially strawberry. I canned strawberry and blueberry jam last year. Tastes good. Now let's see how good freezer jam will taste. 😃😃
I’m really proud of you guys! Good job making it all happen and successful at that! I can always trust your recipes 💯 % in turning out and I really appreciate that and you!
Hi from germany! I wasn't able to watch the Live, but it's so nice to hear, that you and Josh can work together now! 🎉 Very happy for you both! ❤ The streaming time is also great, it would be late evening for us europeans. The last times it was in the middle of the night for us! 😅
I love when you do these lives! When you do the kitchen remodel you can do more alternative cooking videos (Instant Pot, air fryer, crock pot, grill, etc) and freezer meals. It took 8 weeks when my kitchen was done so pre-planning is vital.
I didn't get to watch you live ..I love your personality, so genuine, Josh is adorable. I don't sleep well and every night first thing I do is check for new videos, if none I scroll through and watch some older ones. Keep up the amazing work.❤
You were a big inspiration for me to get out and start gardening a couple years back. I’m still going strong! Just harvested my first three squash of the season and also some cabbage. Cooked it all up and it was so delicious. Much appreciation from Perry, Georgia!
With using the freezer method could I use 3 berries? And how long does the jam last in the freezer? And once in the fridge, how long would last?
Sorry I'm having to watch it back as the live kept cutting out on me. Should I have been watching live the time was great 😂
I’m so sad I missed your live it’s been wonderful watching you and listening to you and Josh just chatting. For something you didn’t like, I remember when you were in your last property you made something that was pickled or fermented, I want to say onion or garlic was something unusual like that. Why not try a golf cart Some have the back that lays down or can hook up wagon behind it
Congrats to Josh working full time at home. I made that switch recently and I love it - best decision I made!!👌🏾
I’m sooo happy Josh is able to be home and you’re now a full time homestead UA-cam family ❤. Biggest smile here!

We recently renovated our kitchen but took 6 months to build a fully functional outdoor kitchen first. It was a TOTAL life saver! 10/10 recommend!
How wonderful that Josh’s time will not be split anymore. I am glad for him and look forward to him being on camera .

Way to go.
It’s around 41:55
Parchment paper on the cookie sheets is definitely a life saver!! It definitely makes clean up and longevity of your pans! I have these for our air fryer and for ever size of pan we have.
Watched from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦this evening, since I was at work during the day. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
What a sweet video. I was ill for several weeks, and haven’t watched for a while. I’m so happy to hear Josh gets to work with you now.
I am from Texas and I have learned so much. I have a garden this and I love love love it
My grandkids and I are from Marlow, Oklahoma. We have watched every video. We have done a lot of you wonderful recipes. When we go grocery shopping they will have a list of things to get for your recipes. They tell people to go to UA-cam to watch Becky. They are 8 and 12. Thank you so
Hey Marlow, my childhood summers were spent just south of you in Duncan. I love Becky and Josh!
Hello you guys I Love watching your video’s ❤️👍love and looking good and delicious . From Edith in Australia
Watching it days after and it’s viewing fine for me.
I really enjoy watching the two of you. You’re both so sweet together & the love & respect you have for one another is so good to see! My husband loves peaches. I’m so glad I watched this video so I can try this recipe for him. I’m always learning so many things from you! Thank you Becky! 😊
You should buy powdered buttermilk. It's great and lasts a looooong time.
Yay! I’m so happy for you Josh!! So so excited to see how this Chanel grows. Yay for your family
Y’all are wonderful together. It’s fabulous to see a couple working together ❤️
I’m really proud of you guys! Good job making it all happen and successful at that! I can always trust your recipes 💯 % in turning out and I really appreciate that and you!
Thank you Josh and Becky, great show
Hi from germany!
I wasn't able to watch the Live, but it's so nice to hear, that you and Josh can work together now! 🎉
Very happy for you both! ❤
The streaming time is also great, it would be late evening for us europeans.
Can't imagine what you plan for your kitchen. I love your kitchen but can't wait to see what you come up with. 💜💜
Travel vlogs sound amazing.
LOVE the idea of coming along when you travel and take cooking classes! Sounds AMAZING!
Just watched this! You are a natural! Thanks Becky!
This was so fun to watch. My nanny, great Nan and Mom used to make pear preserves and it was DELISH!
I am watching from Stanton Michigan. I have been on vacation so this is not live anymore. Love watching you guys cook.
Freezer jam is the best! I like it better than water bath canned. It tastes much fresher & has more berry flavor. Yummy 🍓😋
I didn't get to watch you live ..I love your personality, so genuine, Josh is adorable. I don't sleep well and every night first thing I do is check for new videos, if none I scroll through and watch some older ones. Keep up the amazing work.❤
It was so nice to hear about your little one. I’ve always wondered how in the world you keep him quiet while you film.
Strawberry freezer jam is also delicious as an ice cream topping.
You were a big inspiration for me to get out and start gardening a couple years back. I’m still going strong! Just harvested my first three squash of the season and also some cabbage. Cooked it all up and it was so delicious. Much appreciation from Perry, Georgia!
Love watching you, Becky and I'm glad Josh will be with you full time.
Hi Becky, I am Patricia. I enjoyed watching your videos. I live in Middletown, ohio. I really miss having a garden of my own
Love your videos. I am always excited when your videos post. A lot of days I just watch old videos while I go on with my day
